Abstract
Background: Continuous spinal anesthesia (CSA) is a very reliable method for
providing effective anesthesia and offers considerable advantages over single shot
spinal or epidural anesthesia since it provides the performance of well controlled
anesthesia using small doses of local anesthetics and a definite end point with less
failure rate.
Materials and Methods: 100 patients of ASA grade III to IV were scheduled for
elective Major orthopedic Lower Limb Surgeries and they were divided into two
groups, one received continuous spinal anesthesia using spinocath set, the other
group received continuous epidural anesthesia. The doses of local anesthetic used,
hemodynamic variables, a degree of technical difficulties and the incidence of
complications were recorded.
Results: eight patients were excluded (5 CSA and 3 CEA). There was a
significantly lower incidence of paresthesia in the CEA group. The performance
time was significantly shorter in the CEA group. The total dose of bupivacaine and
number of top up doses was significantly smaller in the CSA group than in the CEA
group. The onset of sensory blockade level and motor blockade was significantly

I was really excited when people told me there was romance, action, and adventure
because they re my favorite genres. But, I was disappointed when I read the first
page. It s 3rd person limited. I thought it would be a little harder to connect with the
characters. However, as I kept rereading some lines and questioning the characters, it
became easier for me to understand them. For example, Katsa, the main character of
Graceling, written by Kristin Cashmore, musters up her courage to defy Randa
because she could no longer tolerate him even though she was afraid to imagine what
would happen next. Randa wanted others to fear him and to do that, he had Katsa
torture people who didn t listen to his orders. According to Susan Fisk, empathy for
another s happiness and suffering depends fundamentally on recognizing that the
other has a mind that is, the same capacities for thought, emotion, desire, intention,
and self awareness as ourselves. I empathize with Bitterblue as she is strong facing
hardships throughout the book.
Bitterblue s father is a villain who enjoys torturing others, but her courage still

and white speckled puppy. The puppy is a gift from the American consul for all the
help given from Papi. Mami does not like the puppy and thinks of it as trouble. But,
the narrator has found her double in another species. The two of them like to hide in
a secret place in the front yard. Together, they are confronted by two mean, scary
men. They then realize they are not safe where they live.

There are many different forms of entertainment media that has made an impact on
the American culture. However, the one I feel that has made the biggest impact on
American culture is the music industry.
I say that because, if you look at the music from the 50 s and the 60 s, the music
was smooth, it spoke to the teens and the adults in a certain way, the kids danced in
a calm manner, they danced in a respectful manner. In the 70 s and 80 s, the music
took on a distinctive style, therefore, the dances and the clothing took on a different
style. The clothing began to show body parts, the stomach was the main part that
showed. In the 50 s and 60 s you just did not do that. You kept your body covered.
When the music changed, the kids changed.
In the 80 s and 90 s, it took on more of a drastic change. Rap came on the scene, as
well as, the disco era. When this era came about, the kids changed even more. Their
clothing, haircuts, and even their language changed. It got to be such a drastic
change where men were wearing makeup and as much jewelry as the women were.
Then came the Gangsta Rap, which brought about the gang scene. Everybody was

In the book Academically Adrift: Limited Learning on college campuses, authors
Arum and Roska (2011) discuss how college is academically adrift, denoting how
minor academic learning is in comparison to other facets and how academia is failing
its students (p. 30). One point the authors emphasize is that it is academic learning is
more crucial for students to show the value in their collegiate experience (p. 30). This
is in contrast with how universities focus on utilizing student engagement for
retention purposes, which the authors believe is not as pivotal (p. 31). This means
that to measure the success of college, we should not mention retention but what
