Self assessment means evaluation of our own work and
progress.
It helps students to assess what they know, do not know and
want to know. They recognise their own strengths and
weaknesses.
It promotes responsibility and independence among
students.
It is an assessment tool which is used by a student to
evaluate the quality of his learning and prepare him for
problem solving and life long learning.
