This document provides an outline for analyzing films in essay format. It recommends including an introduction that names the films and states the focus of the analysis. The main body should use a PECA structure - Point, Evidence, Comparison, Analysis. Evidence from the films' language, mise-en-scene, or cinematography should be compared and analyzed in relation to the point. A conclusion should briefly summarize the findings. For documentary films, it suggests referring to documentary modes and ideologies. For fiction films like Fight Club, referring to critical reviews and approaches. The goal is 5 paragraphs using the recommended structure for each film analyzed.
