Buffalo Indian Tribe Research Paper
The Cheyenne Indian Tribe
The Cheyenne Indians are a very significant tribe. Their way of life is so interesting and unique.
They lived all across the midwest of the United States. The Cheyenne s didn t travel as one
collective group, they were split into two groups that ranged across the Great Plains in what is now
South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, and Kansas. The US government forced the
Cheyennes to move to Oklahoma during the 1800 s, but some escaped and fled north into Montana.
Today the Cheyenne live in two places, either Oklahoma or Montana. The summers in the plains
they lived in were very hot and winters were very cold. There was a significant amount of animals
in their region, they included bison (buffalo), deer, cougars, ... Show more content on

The two Cheyenne groups were known as autonomous which means each tribe has its own
government, laws, policies, and services, just like a small country. However, the southern
Cheyenne tribe lived on trust lands which means they stay in that area even though the land isn t
legally theirs. On the contrary the northern Cheyenne tribe lived on reservations which means the
land belongs to them and is legally under their control. In the past, the Cheyennes were led by a
council of forty four chiefs. The Cheyenne s really valued harmony, that s why they didn t like to
wage wars, so every council member had to agree on a decision before action could be taken. This
is called consensus. Today, Cheyenne council members are elected like the president, but they still

Flight Simulators Should Be Made ( 13 )
Framework
Jeff Parrish and MIcah Cooper presented a framework for how flight simulators should be
made(13). The goal of this framework is to provide the means for rapid design of aircraft by
integrating simulation of the craft closely with the design process(13) Split into a plane model and
three subsystems Simulation subsystem evaluates current model, Editor subsystem An intuitive but
powerful interface that allows modification of design, and the Utilities subsystem Provides a variety
of functionality by providing miscellaneous aids such as data analysis and representation(13).

The data generated by the physics model and engine can be recorded to be analyzed by the utilities
package or to verify performance characteristics. Ultimately, the simulation subsystem tries to
determine the net effect on the plane in different environments the more accurate the physics model
the more reliable the results.(13)

Personal Essay On Stereotypes
Thesis Element 1: things I tend to say when I m not interested on the matter There might be
times when I m having a very long and boring day, that the only thing I want to do is to just get

Canadian comedian Mike Myers in the 1992 blockbuster comedy Wayne s World. In the film,
Wayne uses the phrase in response to his sidekick Garth while shooting a local access television

Mobile Communication Technology
01.Introduction to Mobile Communication
Today mobile communication has become the backbone of the society. All the mobile system
technologies have improved the way of living and it is one of the fastest growing communication
medium in the world (Goldsmith, 2004). In 1960 Bell Laboratory was introduced the cellular
concept, with the development of the newer concept and the better technology cellular phones
getting more popular in worldwide (Mitra, 2009). According to the (GSMA, 2014) report
mentioned that, at the end of the 2003 there were more than 1billion individual subscribers, that
means under one in six people had subscribed to a mobile service . By the end of the 2013 the

Time is also a theme element found in Arrival. Arrival revolves heavily on time. Travelling a
nonlinear way. A paradox. Examining Louise s nonlinear experiences relating back to experiencing
time in a nonlinear manner. The film plays with the idea that time bounces around between
timelines perhaps that timeitself flows more mysteriously and circuitously than we fathom. As an
illustration, one of Louise s opening lines is learning to appreciate life s moments, live outside
the bounds of time (Arrival). Maybe life on earth isn t all there is to exist. One in which time is a
pool that can be traversed in all directions, shifting our perspective as well. In other words,

Nonviolent Direct Action In Martin Luther King s Letter...
In this life, many hope for peace, but not many try to achieve it. According to Martin Luther King
Jr s Letter from Birmingham Jail , there are many ways to achieve this, but the best possible course
of action would be through nonviolent direct action, which includes but is not limited to: peaceful
protest, sit ins and civil disobedience. In King s letter, he proclaims his reasoning behind
nonviolent direct action, including: the concept that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice
everywhere (par. 4), extremism can be used positively (par. 22), and the fact that oppressed
people will not stay oppressed forever (par. 24). King uses literary devices including ethos, logos,
and pathos to prove and reaffirm that which he is trying to convey. King begins to develop the
concept that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere , early on in his letter (the fourth
paragraph to be precise). He continues to make the concept clear by following up with: whatever
affects one directly affects all indirectly (par. 4).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Life and Contribution to the Development of the...
The Life and Contribution to the Development of the British Empire of James Cook
I) Introduction
The purpose of this paper is to describe the life and the contribution to the development of the
British Empire of one of the most important English explorers. It was in the second half of the 18th
century when James Cook, originally a poor farm boy, explored and mapped vast uncharted areas
of the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean. However, James Cook was not only an explorer. He can also
be called a scientist he managed to introduce new principles into seafaring and cartography.
For better understanding, the paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the
introduction, which throws light on the purpose and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Such a structure of commerce enabled the immense growth of wealth of the country.
An imperial enthusiasm the British found out that they could grow rich from the trade with their
colonies. As a result it led to a constant, unending search for new markets for British products, new
trading centres and eventually, new lands to settle their surplus criminals and poor, unemployed
citizens.
New inventions in navigation these inventions had a profound influence, not only upon Britain, but
even upon much of the rest of the world. John Hadley s invention of the reflecting quadrant made
it possible to determine the latitude at noon or by night. Extremely accurate, it was quickly
adopted by the admiralty (1730). John Harrison s ship chronometer was to revolutionise the world
s shipping (1736). A new method of combating scurvy was found James Lind recommended to use
citrus juice (1747) and finally, John Campbell introduced the new sextant to the Royal Navy (1757).
All of these inventions helped to create Britain s naval supremacy.
A new philosophical approach the 18th century in Western Europe is the beginning of the Age of
Reason, the philosophers and scientists stressed the value of global discovery, of learning more
about the earth and of collecting unusual flora and fauna from around the globe.
Thus Great Britain established (or

Encryption And The Security Of A Message

Encryption
Encryption is a way to enhance the security of a message or file by scrambling the contents so that
it can be read only by someone who has the right encryption key to unscramble it (Microsoft).
Encryption uses an algorithm to change plain text data to cipher text. It played a very important role
in wars and in military circles to protect top secret information from foreign countries.
There are two types of encryption symmetric key and asymmetric key encryption. Symmetric is
faster than asymmetric at decrypting the data. Sometimes asymmetric and symmetric encryption
are used together. The symmetric key is encrypted using asymmetric encryption.
SYMMETRIC KEY ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
DES was one of the first symmetric encryption methods used by NSA dating back to the 1970s. It
used a 56 bit key and 8 bit parity. DES can easily be broken, which is why AES replaced it in 2001.
AES is stronger and faster than DES. It can use a variety of key lengths (128 , 192 , or 256 bit).
Other ciphers used with symmetric key encryption are Ron s Cipher v2 (RC2), Ron s Cipher v5
(RC5), International Data Encryption Algorithm (IDEA), Triple DES (3DES), Blowfish, Twofish,
and SkipJack.
ASYMMETRIC ENCRYPTION Asymmetric encryption (also known as public key encryption)
uses two different keys that are mathematically similar but distinctly different. One key for
encrypting (public key) and the other for decrypting (private key). The two keys together are
called a key pair. The strength of the secrecy and integrity lies in the private key. Asymmetric
encryption is usually used for smaller data, like the encryption of a symmetric key. Asymmetric
uses multiple different protocols, including, SSL/TLS, IPSec, VPNs, S/MIME, and SSH tunnels.
The most popular cipher used in asymmetric encryption is RSA (Rivest, Shamir, Adleman) created
in 1977 by Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir and Leonard Adleman. It is based on factoring large numbers
in their prime value (Wikipedia). RSA is the most secure. It ranges from 512 bits to 8,000 bits,
which is about 2,401 digits. Others

Murray Bowen s Family Systems Theory Of Family
Murray Bowen developed a new theory that focuses on how the family s emotions and
interactions as a unit can affect the individual and vice versa. (Marianne Schneider 2015) In this
theory patterns are constructed in the family to ease the stress created in families. (Baege. M.
2005) The Family Systems theory proposes that to get a better look inside what s going on with the
individual you must look at the family. (Marianne Schneider 2015) Outside influences and certain
issues that have been passed down from multiple generations determine their levels of stress and
anxiety. (Marianne Schneider 2015)
In Bowen s theory there are 8 intertwining concepts. (Baege. M.2005) The first concept is Triangles
which are a 3 person relationship system that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
( Baege, M. 2005) Lastly, according to Vermont Center of Family, Societal Emotional Process is
where society is a factor in the emotional systems behavior of a family member such as work and
social organizations. (Baege, M. 2005)
Family Systems Theory appeals to me because I have a large stepfamily and I feel this
perspective does help to figure out how to deal with problems that come up with individuals
while considering the whole family unit. I feel very strongly that family is important in
developing a person s strengths and self worth. There are lots of issues that can come up in a
stepfamily. Relationship triangles that the family systems theory talks about happened in a
dysfunctional way in my family. I believe the only way to get a better insight into one s
problems is to look at the family of origin and see the patterns and how everyone interacts and
affects everyone. It is also important to know the level of differentiation that family members
are at to help them have a sense of self outside of the family unit. In our family there has been a
lot of tension because of family members not knowing what their role was in the new family
unit. In my family it was very difficult to establish a parent role with a child that doesn t consider
you as a parent. I have seen certain children act out when they feel that they are not receiving
enough attention from the biological parent and then triangles result. In my experiences with my
stepfamily I feel family systems theory is a very good way for me to use my personal strengths
and experiences to help my clients to be self sufficient in dealing with their

Marriage Is A Unique Social Institution
Marriage is a unique social institution that could be interpreted and defined in a variety of forms
and characterizations. In an emotional aspect, marriage can be generalized as being in a romantic
love relationship in which it is legally monogamous. Although sharing an emotional bond with a
significant other is important, there are several factors that must be taken into consideration when
making a decision into getting married. A couple must understand the depths of marriagein terms of
survival. This emphasizes the realistic aspect of marriage which involves money. Affording a house,
a family, and the necessary items to accommodate the institution can accumulate. With the right
education and career, middle and upper class couples divorce rates have decreased, their marital
happiness is consistent along with family structure. This paper will demonstrate the influential
factors of pursuing marriage and the importance of social class and status when deciding on
entering into marriage. Marriage is a socially approved courtship between two individuals in which
the relationship involves sexual and economic benefits that is assumed to be permanent and
includes mutual rights and obligations. A social institution, as defined by Jonathan Turner, is a
complex of positions, roles, norms, and values lodged in particular types of social structures and
organizing relatively stable patterns of human activity with respect to fundamental problems in

could never imagine. Written in the form of a series of letters to an anonymous recipient, Chbosky

Although the reader is never told who the letters are written to, Charlie starts each letter with
Dear Friend... . He states at the start of the novel that I am writing to you because she said you
listen and understand...Please don t try to figure out who she is because then you might figure
out who I am, and I really don t want you to do that... (1.3) whilst Charlie does not give the reader
a clear explanation on who this anonymous person may be; the audience can make the
assumption that perhaps Charlie is writing these letters to help him understand his feelings.
Charlies raw and honest narration of the problems he encounters, and his dark thoughts
throughout his first year of high school allows the reader to empathise with Charlie. This
behaviour is often typical for high school aged students, as they tend to find it easier to
communicate with each other when it is not face to face. The emotions that Charlie feels are
also common for this age group, allowing the intended audience to relate to Charlie, and engage
with the narrative. Likewise, in The Catcher in the Rye first person perspective is used to allow
the reader to have direct access to the main protagonist: Holden s thoughts. Holden s honest
narration gives the reader a perspective into his world and the way he comprehends it. In Holden s
narration, Salinger uses a flashback of a momentous time of his life, when he spent three days and
nights by himself in New York City.

The Oppression Of Indigenous People In Canada
Due to disassociation, assimilation, oppression, systemic and systematic erasure and violence,
Indigenous peoples have been purposefully silenced at almost every moment of interaction with
Canada.
Many Indigenous peoples have been strategically silenced since birth. Their names were changed
for number tabulations, cultures were suppressed and languages were stolen from Indigenous
children and their future generations. These actions were sanctioned by the Catholic Church,
manipulated by political leaders and, ultimately, enforced by the government of Canada. The
consequences of these actions rippled through the institutions and cultivated into the consciousness
of settler and colonial populations. Indigenous children were subjected to an education which
stripped them of their identities and forced them into lower class, lower labour positions.
Indigenous education was created solely to meet the desired needs of subsistence of Euro Canadian
peoples.
During the wars in which Canada participated, Indigenous peoples were rarely recognized for their
achievements or efforts and many deaths were purposefully not recorded. There were also hundreds

El Presidente is a biopic film directed and written by Mark Meily. The film follows the life of the
Philippines first president, General Emilio Aguinaldo. It is based on the book written by Emilio
Aguinaldo, Memoirs of a Revolution. The movie starts in 1901 with Agunaldo s capture by
Kapampangan US forces under Fuston s command. Then, it flashes back to Aguinaldo s younger
years. The flashback shows Aguinaldo collecting tax along with his friend Candido Tirona; the
two meets an old woman who gave them perplexing prophecies. The old woman said that

Also, familiar faces were seen some of them are; ER Estregan, with the main role; Christopher de

the actor, I believe that ER Estregan failed to effectively portray the character. Aside from the age
discrepancy wherein they could have had a younger actor for the role, his acting was repetitive, and
boring at times. Could it have been that the production was enticed in getting actors with big names

This paper will first discus the colonization of Africa as well as how and why the Europeans came
to Africa. It will then look at common problems that occurred due to the colonization and will
specifically look into the colonization of Kenyaunder British rule and its outcomes that made the
country worse. Even though colonization in some cases had positive impacts, such as the creation
of infrastructure, it was more of a negative impact on African countries, such as Kenya, because of
loss of sovereignty and culture, exploitation of resources and rights. It is also important to consider
that despite the positive impacts such as better infrastructure, it was meant to benefit the European
powers as opposed to helping the native peoples in the regions. Colonization is caused by several
factors, such as overpopulation, civil unrest, religious intolerance and poverty in the origin
countries. However, colonization due to imperialism is a major factor for colonization. In 1492, the
Europeans reach and colonize the North Americas to establish new settlements, but disregard the
native populations and resulted in loss of sovereignty. Similarly, Africawas colonized by major
European powers in the 19th century, from the 1870 s to the 1900 s. Africa was a land that had
plenty of resources, such as

The Position Of Cadet Vice Wing Commander
Unit SC 932, or as we prefer the Byrnes High School AFJROTC, is one of the homes I have
deemed to be a part of my life. I never intended to become so high up in this organization, but at
the time that I am writing this, I happen to find myself in the position of cadet Vice Wing
Commander (which means I am 2nd in command for any civilians reading). Needless to say, I
have experienced, observed, and participated in most all aspects of this Corps. Not just the aspects
of different clubs and classes we offer, but the aspects of the experience and training that I
personally (as well as any other enthusiastic cadet) has received. One of the subjects that my studies
in the corps has brought me upon is managementapproaches. In fact, that is what brought me to
writing this paper. Anyways, there are several different kinds of management approaches and
they could all be found in just about any organization (including Byrnes AFJROTC), but I want
to focus on one in particular. This specific approach considers the performance of planning,
organizing, leading, and controlling as circular and continuous. (45). It is known as the process
approach, which can be very evident in the Corps of cadets at Byrnes High School. Junior
Reserve Officer Training Corps. That is what JROTC stands for. However, I want to refer to a
specific word in it: Officer. Keep in mind, this Corps is not a military organization, we just do
things in a military manner. Indeed, we do have people in the

Role Of A Project Manager On A Construction Project Essay
The main role of a project manager on a construction project is that they are the people who are
responsible for making decisions, both large and small and are also responsible for everything that
happens on the site from the date of starting of the project till the closure of the project, they take
the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, design, execution, monitoring, controlling. A
project managersets up the estimates, budget and construction timetable for the clients and also
develops the construction strategy and has the authority to select the subcontractors and workers. A
projectmanager has to deal with the clients and answer their necessary questions. The project
manager not only has to deal with the clients but also coordinate with the architects, engineers
associated with the project, he even has to ensure that the construction being done complies with
all building codes and doesn t end up with any legal problems. When there is a delay in the project
or any problem occurs while construction the project manager is to be questioned. The project
manager makes sure he is aware of the risks and controls them and minimises uncertainty. A project

Cognitive Psychology Essay
Cognitive neuroscience categorised as one of the many approaches to human cognition, focuses on
the study of both the brain and behaviour in collaboration. Evidence from such approaches can be
used to understand in depth, the mental processes forming cognition. Consequently, this contributes
to our understanding of the mind. Despite vast development in this field, various challenges are
posed as no single method can answer every question raised due to its limitations and therefore
must be combined in order to produce a more reliable understanding. Cognitive psychologywas the
first to make progress in the understanding of these areas and accordingly it can be noticed that the

Brain imaging techniques used by cognitive neuroscientist s aid research into such field by
analysing the different parts of the brain that become active when a certain task is performed. The
main technique that can be discussed in the role of trying to understand the mind is Functional
magnetic resonance imaging. This technique uses an MRI machine to measure brain activity by
looking at changes in one s blood flow. Stern et al, 1996 carried out research into the parts of the
brain crucial for encoding and storage of information in the long term memory store. Using fMRI,
participants were monitored while performing a novel picture encoding task. Evidence was
provided to show that the encoding of these pictures depends on how the ventral cortical regions
and the hippocampal region interact. This highlights a link between the two which therefore creates
a valid contribution to our understanding of the mind as it identifies the parts of the brain crucial
for engaging in essential mental processes. On the other hand, although this link can be identified,
the method used by cognitive neuroscientists cannot explain exactly how the hippocampal
formation is crucial in the encoding of information in long term memory meaning that it cannot be
explained as to why it is needed and what exactly would happen to the encoding process if damage
to this formation was to occur. In terms of the technique itself, low temporal resolution and high
expense can be noted as another

Black Sacred Cosmos Research Paper
The Black Sacred Cosmos was developed through the conjoining of the African traditional past
with Western Christianity. It explains the influence of the Middle Passage, and the efforts of
enslavers to force assimilation of the Africans to Western religious beliefs and cultural practices.
Traditional African religions encompassed all portions of life; believers found something sacred
in their daily experiences. Modern day black religions encompass life as well, but there are certain
days like Sunday, or Saturday in the Adventist church, where we may dedicate more time to God.
Traditional religions were tied to family lines, from birth to death. The religionthat one s maternal
or paternal family practiced, was passed down from generation to generation; there was no
acceptance of faith like Christianity. There was a strong sense of community, where the gods and
goddesses were responsible for the wellbeing of the Africans, while the Africans as a... Show more

caused them to refine their African religious practices as the reached South Central America, as

the religions they practiced, due to there being more slaves than enslavers. This allowed them to

Reading Diane Ackerman s piece was an interesting experience. I love science, so reading the
really technical parts about how skin works, how growth is affected by human touch, and how
smell is registered in the brain was fascinating to me. It is all interwoven with paragraphs filled
with vivid imagery of the way violets smell: like burnt sugar cubes that have been dipped in lemon
and velvet (Smell, p 9) and the way the Japanese tattoo looks: subtle, repulsive, magical, seductive,
sensuous, three dimensional, thought provoking, and macabre (Touch, p 100). The combination of
intense bouts of scientific information and descriptive examples make for excellent reading. My

whether or not they should implement similar programs.
Limitations
Limitations of this study include a limited sample size (rural, large university with a limited number
of non traditional students) and limited program availability (TRIO Program and Veteran
Transition Program). Replication of this study at a college or university with a larger sample size
of non traditional students could ensure a greater significance(?)confidence level. This research

Comparing The Roles Of Women During Athens And Sparta
Planning Investigation:
This investigation will answer the question What were the differences and similarities of the
roles of women in Athens and Sparta? This question is relevant due to the fact that the role of
women and how they were treated back then are very different than today and we ve come a long
way since then in terms of women s rights. It s also important to see the drastic differences
between the roles of women from one Greek city to another. The issues that will be addressed are
their treatment and roles within societies and how they differ from the Greek towns Athensand
Sparta. The places investigated will include Athens and Sparta. This will be accomplished through
an examination of books, websites, and academic journals.

Reciprocity And Kawelka Relationship
The act of reciprocity, the mutual act of giving and receiving; giving more than you are taking. A
quote that really captures the true meaning of reciprocity is, People gave with the expectation of
taking and took with the expectation of giving (Harris 1989). This is seen across many different
cultures and time periods. Nevertheless, they are not all the same, and may not generate
equivalent types of relationships, for social and personal value. In this essay we will look at two
separate acts of reciprocity; how they work, and what they provide. First, a look into the Gebusi
sister exchange, and then into the Kawelka s moka ceremony. Everyone desires connection,
whether that be through friendships or sexual relations.

Among the Kawelka tribe, reciprocity serves as a way of gaining prestige and shaming rivals
(Cronk 1988). This form of exchange serves as way of social superiority. Their ritual is called the
moka; this is a very important ceremony to their tribe. The reason why Ongka so wanted to give
his big moka, is that only by giving can he earn fame and status for his tribe and for him (Niarn
1974). The moka ceremony is a formal interaction in which one man gives more than he received
from another, as a pay back of debt, as well as a trump to their social status. However, the return
of the moka cannot happen after a long period of time, doing so immediately would serve as a
desire to cut the strings and end the relationship. It is expected that the debt will be repaid when
the time comes, if it is not the one who has not repaid the debt will lose their support and status
as a big man . The goal of the moka is to eventually become a big man , also known as a tribal
leader (Cronk 1988). After one big moka was thrown by Ongka, that included several hundreds of
pigs, a truck, thousands of dollars and more, he told the recipient of his moka, I have won. I have

The Russian Confederation spans two continents and is the largest country in the world. Ethnic
Russians are Caucasian. Russians skin color and features are comparable to European Americans.
They are usually fair complected, and may sunburn easily. Many Russian immigrants in the United

fact that professional literature is often printed in English. Education is very important,

be pursued to a high degree. Family is highly valued, grandparents help raise children, especially if
the parents of the children have careers. The needs of the family are considered more important
than individual needs. Large multigenerational households are common. All important decisions,
including healthdecisions, are made after the elders in the family have had an input. Various health

Catalytic hydration produces a lot of direct and indirect pollution. The process requires tremendous
amount of energy to heat up the mixture of ethene and steam up to the reaction temperatures.
Ethene is obtained by a cracked fraction obtained from oil. Over the years there have been many
environmental disasters from drilling and transporting oil. On the 20th of April 2010, the
Deepwater Horizon drilling platform exploded in the Gulf of Mexico. This lead to 4.9 million
barrels of oil being spilled into the Gulf of Mexico which resulted in the worst environmental
disaster in recent times with millions of aquatic animals being affected (Kinver, 2011). Although

Choosing the Right Structure for a New Business
Choosing the Right Structure for a New Business 1. Introduction A new idea for a business is
the setting up of a mobile photographic studio. There are many individuals who want family
portraits, or photos for identification or other reasons, who do not have time to go to a
professional photographer. There are already a number of services where photographers will set
up in a shopping centre to take family portraits of photos of children, or go to schools and take
children s photographs to sell to parents. The new idea takes this a stage further, allowing a
family to invite a photographer into there home for a set period of time, for a set price which
will include a specific number of photographs. The idea of the convenience, as well as high
quality of service, will create differentiation, with the aim of gaining business by
recommendation. The business will be set up ion an areas where there are is a large population
of middle and upper class families, and where a similar service is not easily identifiable. In order
to set up the business it is necessary to consider the practical implications associated with the
different business structures which may be used to establish the firm. 2. Forms of Business
Organization When setting up a business, the idea is only a part of the process. It is also
necessary to consider the way in which the business itself will be set up in order to function. There

Anne Bradstreet s Puritan Beliefs In The Greatness Of God
Puritans in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries are constantly portrayed as devout believers in
the greatness of God. Puritans had an obvious belief that God acted in their everyday lives, a
concept known as providentialism. When the new religion of Puritanism arose, a majority of these
Puritans believed in values such as the grace of God and His divine mission. The Puritanconcept of
God s grace signifies their constant need for God. God was seen as kind, and He helped to
cleanse the Puritans of envy, hatred, lust, or vanity. The Puritans also believed in God s divine
mission, which was a plan for each of the Puritans life. The Puritans felt that they had to follow

This alarming metaphor uses a dark tone and syntax to build up intensity and show God s
fearful side. The choice of the word drunk helps to convey this message of God being vicious
and harsh. The word drunk sometimes complies with enjoyment; God s wrath will fully shoot
through one s heart and enjoy it. The bow and arrow helps to create an image of death and God s
evil side. Edwards also discusses God s providentialism by writing another comparison: There
are the black clouds of God s wrath now hanging directly over your heads, full of the dreadful
storm, and big with thunder; and were it not for the restraining hand of God it would
immediately burst forth upon you (24 29). This frightening description of a vicious storm
emphasizes how helpless any person is when compared to God. The daunting tone of this
dreadful storm expresses the idea of providentialism while making any readers or listeners
intimidated by God s absolute power. God has full control of our lives, and He can send us to hell
with ease. By putting the fear of God into others minds, they are intimidated by His providential
supervision and what He can do if one does not correctly

Tulane College Application Essay
I am interested in attending Tulane University because of its academic and social opportunities
as well as its location. Tulane has strong history, theatre, and dance departments. It is important to
me that I go to a university where I can receive the best possible education in the areas that
interest me. I am also interested in Tulane because it is a school where it is very easy to double
major and minor. I have a lot of interests, and I think collegeis the time for me to explore them. The
admissions counselor I spoke with told me that 70% of Tulane students have a minor, 33% have
a double major, and some students even have a triple major. I think this also shows that Tulane is
the type of school that attracts ambitious students with a variety of interests. Additionally, I like
that the core curriculum at Tulane allows students to investigate different areas of interests and
to possibly find a new direction for themselves. The admissions counselor I spoke to also
discussed that around 1/3 of Tulane students study abroad. This appeals to me because I would
like to be able to go study theatre in Europe. Furthermore, I have been studying Spanish for over
seven years, so I am interested in study abroad in Spain where I could be completely immersed in
the language.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While I am interested in sorority life, I do not want to go to a school where fraternities and
sororities dominate campus life. Since only 40% of Tulane students participate in Greek life, I
think there is a good balance. Also, since Tulane has recruitment for sororities in the Spring, there
are many opportunities for freshman to socialize and to make friend before they decide if they
want to be a part of the Greek system. While I am not a huge sports fan, I like the environment of
school spirit that sports give a university. Sports at Tulane create a feeling of school spirit without
dominating student s social

Why Augustus Caesar was a Better Ruler than Julius Caesar
The two greatest leaders of Rome are without a doubt Julius Caesar and Augustus Caesar. These two
men have defined leadership for a country. Many other countries have modeled their ethics and used
them as their own to better themselves as a whole. Without these two men, our world would not be
the same in just about every way. Although these two men were both great, one of them was better
than the other. Although Julius Caesarwas a dominant leader, AugustusCaesar was certainly the
better leader. Julius Caesar was said to be a great ruler. Julius Caesar conquered many great
lands. Some places that Caesar conquered was lands such as Britain, Gaul (modern day France),
Egypt, Syria, Pontus (modern day Turkey), and most of the western European continent. Caesar
has always been one of the most controversial characters of history. His admirers have seen in
him the defender of the rights of the people against an oligarchy. His detractors have seen him as
an ambitious demagogue, who forced his way to dictatorial power and destroyed the republic.
That he was gifted and versatile there can be little doubt. He excelled in war, in statesmanship,
and in oratory. (Columbia Electric Encyclopedia) Although Julius Caesar was an excellent
leader, he was not as great of a ruler as Augustus Caesar. A major key to being a good leader is that
the leader should try to keep his or her people safe. Peace and protection is far better than havoc
and destruction. Julius Caesar was a warlord, not a

Hydraulic Fracturing Of Natural Gas From Deep Below The...
Fracking, also known as hydraulic fracturing involves the extraction of natural gas from deep
below the ground. A shaft is drilled into the ground followed by a horizontal well hole that flows
to the gas layer of the earth. The well is divided into smaller sections and these sections are
fractured in sections. Fracking fluid (7 million litres of water is used, several thousand tonnes of
sand and 200,000 tonnes of chemicals (de Rijke, 2013)) is then pumped into the ground at high
velocity. Cracks are produced in the rocks, the sand in the mixture prevents cracks from closing
again. The water is then pumped out and natural gasis now easily obtained. (BBC News, 2016). The
first well was constructed in 1949 and as a result of a technology... Show more content on

Three other sites have been located in Wales, two sites for just obtaining geological samples and
the other one has been refused in Llandow, Vale (Raeng.org.uk, 2016). Fracking is a hot debate in
Scotland, with labour issuing a firm no on the issue to undergo fracking as of March 2016 (BBC
News, 2016). Also, in Northern Ireland, Taboran Resources has an interest to undertake fracking
located on an area that is on the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
(Raeng.org.uk, 2016).
Two of the main companies involved in fracking in the UK include, Cuadrilla and Igas. Many
protests have been carried out to object to the fracking issue. Igas say that there are many new
investment opportunities, for example a ВЈ2.3 billion steel requirement in Britain, a ВЈ4.1 billion
waste, storage and transportation requirement and a skills and specialised equipment requirement
of ВЈ17 billion. (Igasplc.com, 2016). As of December 2012 there have been two planning
applications for fracking processes by Cuadrilla, at Prestion New Road and Roseacre Wood, before
Lancashire City council and they will frack for shale gas if it is approved. (British Geological
Survey, 2015). Many of the issues involved with fracking arise from the use of fracking in the US.
There are many positive outlooks when it comes to fracking;
Shale gas is not found all over the UK, only in certain areas. There is said to be a plentiful supply
of shale, with Cuadrilla stating that there is 5.7

Maycomb s Social Hierarchy
Maycomb s social hierarchy is based upon judgements of ancestry, wealth, race, and behaviors.
The people of the town are strictly categorized into levels such as higher class, middle class,
lower working class, and low class. The highest class is still not considered upper class due to
the effects of the depression, however these individuals have lived on their property for many
generations, have wealth in the family, and are well respected by their peers. The most
prestigious is the Finch family. Atticus, a male lawyer, is regarded as the protector of justice in
Maycomb. He is called upon to kill a rabid dog, defend an accused rapist, and raise his children
while travelling to the state legislature monthly. His sister and children are also... Show more

The residents of Maycomb are extremely racist, so the treatment of African Americans is
undeniably cruel. When Scout talks about going to school, there is no mention of any colored
children in the classroom. Also, Scout says that African Americans walk on the other side of the
street when passing the Radley house out of fear. The most inhumane example of racism in the
book is Mr. Ewell falsely accusing Tom Robinson of raping his daughter Mayella. Mr. Ewell is
the second least honorable white man in Maycomb, next to Dolphus Raymond. Although, the
townspeople still believe Mr. Ewell s fictitious accusation over a kind hearted African American
man, despite knowing Tom s true innocence. The treatment of African Americans in Maycomb is
the most ruthless for no sincere reason aside from skin color. Finally, the last ring of the social
hierarchy of Maycomb is the mixed populace. These are the children of an African American
person and a white person. More specifically, Mr. Raymond and his female partner s children are
mixed. Jem explains to Scout that mixed children do not belong to the white community or the
African American community, or are known as

Archbishop Gebhard
My research is based Hohensalzburg Fortress in Salzburg, Austria, built in 1077 by Archbishop
Gebhard. It is currently the largest fully preserved castle in Central Europe. It is now a tourist
attraction and is the most dominate feature of the city s skyline.
This castle was originally built for troop protection for the Imperial army of the Holy Roman
Empire. It was very small, but over a period of more than 900 years, it was transformed in many
different ways. This fortress became the city s most important defense when Archbishop Gebhard
had a conflict with Emperor Henry IV and was influenced to expand the castle in case of invasion.
The expansion continued gradually for the next few centuries, then in 1462, builders under Prince
Archbishop Burkhard III von WeiГџpriach, constructed the four main towers along the outer wall, a
bell tower in the northern wall, the trumpeter tower in the northeast, the kraut tower in the north
and a type of prison is the south. Prince Archbishop Leonhard von Keutschach during his term
further expanded the castle, and the beast was growing. His coadjutor ( a bishop appointed to
assist a diocesan bishop) Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg wrote descriptions of his idea of a Riess

Ancient Greece society evolved around their sports. In fact, they created the Olympics. Played
by mostly men and boys, the sports were to make sure they were in shape. For people in the
army, sports would be played to not only keep you fit, but to also prepare you for war. They had
to be able to march long distances, hold heavy weapons along with the heavy equipment, and then
to fight. The ancient Olympics were very significantly and were held in Olympia. Unlike the
modern Olympics, though, competitors were only from the Greek towns. They started as a one day
event until 684 BC it became a three day event. The games included running, long jump, shot put,

Racism- An Aid to American Society
Racism An Aid to American Society?
Racism is actions, practices or beliefs, or social or political systems that consider different races to
be ranked as inherently superior or inferior to each other, based on presumed shared inheritable
traits, abilities, or qualities. (Newman, 2012) Racism has promulgated after the slavery in America,
and these practices are still evident in our generations today. Oftentimes, when the word racism is
heard by many, negative characteristics on these actions will be dominant. Many perceive racism
as disrespect to one s rich culture and heritage, thus causing a lot of hatred. Despite my strong
objection on the act of racism, I believe that racism played a major role in the development and

Racism is what justified America s thirst for expansion through the Manifest Destiny which gave
an ideological dimension to its actions. It is important to see, at this point, that America is a
country which gives a huge importance to its national beliefs which include liberalism, self
determinism and democracy. Tierney (2011) says that it is ingrained so much so that there is a
liberal hegemony in the way Americans think, making its existence natural to America and its
inhabitants. The liberty of Americans justifies the Manifest Destiny s expansionist ideas by its
dimension of free development for Americans. Race, here, became one of the determinants of who
were to pay the price of that development and who were to profit. While countries such as Russia
and China imposed their ideologies on their countries which already had their nationalist ideologies,
America was born under its own, making the connection between its core beliefs and Manifest
Destiny an effective engine to justify the latter. When the original version of the Manifest Destiny
was accomplished in 1890, free development was found to be possible through two more activities,
nation building in the Americas and Imperialism ( Manifest Destiny , n.d.).
Nation building took form in slavery in tobacco farms, developing from an economic venture to a
cultural endeavor (p.109, Fields, 1990). Slavery also led to the empowerment of the other citizens,

The Pros And Cons Of Corruption In The World Bank
The bank has been criticized for giving loans to countries with corrupted government (Behar,
2012). Corruption is a major problem in developing countries. Millions of loans in financial
assistance would be rendered ineffective if such countries were run by corrupted governance. Many
World Bank s projects have failed due to the corrupted government in these developing nations
(Behar, 2012).
In response, the World Bank Institution was set up in 2000 to fight against corruption by increasing
the transparency of governments. By using the Capacity Development Results Framework (CDRF),
the bank is able to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate development programs (Otoo,
Agapitova and Behrens, 2009). Kim Jing Yong, incumbent president of the World Bank, commented
on the success of the program: When corruption threatened to derail a critical power project for
southern African countries, the World Bank intervened, preventing more than $6 million dollars
from being misused. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The US alone holds 20% of votes, whereas 47 sub Saharan African countries altogether only hold
7% of votes (Bretton Woods Project, 2005). This disparity results in decisions which benefit
wealthy countries at the expense of the poor. One such decision includes structural adjustment
programs (SAPs) attached to loans. SAPs require debtors to welcome foreign investment and
privatize national companies, inviting competition to the debtors domestic firms (Shah, 2013).
Over time, demand and labour from these poor nations shift to the wealthier corporations,
subsequently relying on them for economic growth, while wealthier corporations enjoy growing
profits from these poorer nations. In response, World Bank ambiguously replied that they provide

Kay Redfield Jamson Biography
What does it mean to have a mental illness? Not many people think about this question because
we don t realize the actual number of people that are affected by mental illness each day. Having
a mental illness means that there is something going on that affects a person s thinking, feelings,
mood, etc. Often times when people disclose that they have a mental illness, they are judged.
The fear of being judged definitely holds people back from speaking about their condition. It
might even cause people go into denial about even having a mental illness. Kay Redfield Jamison
once struggled with accepting the fact that she was suffering from manic depressive illness despite
the fact that she was trained to make diagnoses on cases that closely resembled hers. From a young
age, Jamison was intrigued by the world of science and medicine. When she was fifteen years old,
she was first introduced to the world of psychiatryand mental illness while on a trip with fellow

The struggle with the manic depressive illness got much worse during her college years. At one
point she even thought about seeking guidance for her issues, but could not get herself to follow

made the decision to switch to clinical psychology during graduate school where she first began
learning how to diagnose psychiatric patients. Not once did she make the connection of the
symptoms of these constructs to the symptoms she was personally experiencing, although she did
realize that she was more comfortable making diagnoses than her colleagues were. When learning
about diseases, some people automatically think that they have that illness if they have experienced
any of the listed symptoms. However, Jamison was the complete

Pros And Cons Of American Psycho
Just in the U.S. there are thousands of books that are banned or censored and every year there
are hundreds more that get banned or censored. American Psycho is a book published in 1991 by
Bret Easton Ellis which is heavily censored. This book cannot even be sold to anyone under 18
and must be wrapped in plastic. This fictional book was written for adults that like black comedy
and the thrill of a gruesome and violent book. American Psychois a book about a murderous rich
man that is censored for a few very good reasons but still should be able to be bought and sold by
the public.
American Psycho all starts in New York City where the main character, Patrick Batemanlives.
Patrick is a rich man that focuses on money, how he dresses, and drugs. One day as he was
walking down the street he saw his first victim. Bateman spots him sitting on the sidewalk and
stops to taunt him, calling him worthless and disgusting and asking why he doesn t simply get a
job. Al begins to cry, and then Bateman suddenly stabs him in the eye (Mauriello, American
Psycho Summary). After his first victim was finally dead he just got worse. Soon after he
murders his ex girlfriend Bethany after getting her drunk at lunch and even stabs a young child to
death in a public park (Mauriello, American Psycho Summary). Bateman s killings just keep
getting and as it does his drug addiction also gets worse. After kidnapping, raping and torturing his
victims he ends up hiding in his office from the police. He

Open Letter to Whom Ever it May Concern,

impact, I am not surprised to learn that this may hinder more than help. This is not to vilify those
involved or even take sides in an issue that honestly affects currently half a million people, but in
the long run may impact millions. This is a letter to put a back story to those forgotten by the
issue at hand, the student affected by a five week strike of Ontario Colleges. I am 25 years old,

other students. Most students will not have the same experience I have had during the strike, all
situations are different however if no one voices their specific struggle we will remain faceless
victims of an unjust system. As I have said I am 25 years old, I am a young woman and have
never had a thing handed to me in my lifetime. I have worked hard to be able to attend college
again this year, I have done more soul searching than most twice my age, I have made
compromises with myself, family and even strangers in order to get where I am now. That is 4

my significant other and currently unmotivated to continue with my program of choice. Since the

Use Of Propaganda And How It Is Used By Donna Woolfolk Cross
How Not to Be Bamboozled
We tend to think of language as something we use; we are much less often aware of the way we
are used by language (Cross 247). There are different types of communication and communication
styles, for example, verbal, non verbal, and visual. Propaganda can be found in all forms of
communication. It is used for persuading, coercing, and manipulating ones feelings, actions, and
belief of things in a certain way. Donna Woolfolk Cross believes, The only defense to become wise

  • 2. Buffalo Indian Tribe Research Paper The Cheyenne Indian Tribe The Cheyenne Indians are a very significant tribe. Their way of life is so interesting and unique. They lived all across the midwest of the United States. The Cheyenne s didn t travel as one collective group, they were split into two groups that ranged across the Great Plains in what is now South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, and Kansas. The US government forced the Cheyennes to move to Oklahoma during the 1800 s, but some escaped and fled north into Montana. Today the Cheyenne live in two places, either Oklahoma or Montana. The summers in the plains they lived in were very hot and winters were very cold. There was a significant amount of animals in their region, they included bison (buffalo), deer, cougars, ... On the contrary the northern Cheyenne tribe lived on reservations which means the land belongs to them and is legally under their control. In the past, the Cheyennes were led by a council of forty four chiefs. The Cheyenne s really valued harmony, that s why they didn t like to wage wars, so every council member had to agree on a decision before action could be taken. This is called consensus. • 7. Nonviolent Direct Action In Martin Luther King s Letter... In this life, many hope for peace, but not many try to achieve it. According to Martin Luther King Jr s Letter from Birmingham Jail , there are many ways to achieve this, but the best possible course of action would be through nonviolent direct action, which includes but is not limited to: peaceful protest, sit ins and civil disobedience. In King s letter, he proclaims his reasoning behind nonviolent direct action, including: the concept that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere (par. 4), extremism can be used positively (par. 22), and the fact that oppressed people will not stay oppressed forever (par. 24). King uses literary devices including ethos, logos, and pathos to prove and reaffirm that which he is trying to convey. Such a structure of commerce enabled the immense growth of wealth of the country. An imperial enthusiasm the British found out that they could grow rich from the trade with their colonies. As a result it led to a constant, unending search for new markets for British products, new trading centres and eventually, new lands to settle their surplus criminals and poor, unemployed citizens. New inventions in navigation these inventions had a profound influence, not only upon Britain, but even upon much of the rest of the world. John Hadley s invention of the reflecting quadrant made it possible to determine the latitude at noon or by night. Extremely accurate, it was quickly adopted by the admiralty (1730). John Harrison s ship chronometer was to revolutionise the world s shipping (1736). A new method of combating scurvy was found James Lind recommended to use citrus juice (1747) and finally, John Campbell introduced the new sextant to the Royal Navy (1757). All of these inventions helped to create Britain s naval supremacy. • 9. Encryption And The Security Of A Message Amanda V. Jennings Professor Tres Brooks CCT 110 November 24, 2014 Encryption Encryption is a way to enhance the security of a message or file by scrambling the contents so that it can be read only by someone who has the right encryption key to unscramble it (Microsoft). Encryption uses an algorithm to change plain text data to cipher text. It played a very important role in wars and in military circles to protect top secret information from foreign countries. There are two types of encryption symmetric key and asymmetric key encryption. Symmetric is faster than asymmetric at decrypting the data. Sometimes asymmetric and symmetric encryption are used together. The symmetric key is encrypted using asymmetric encryption. SYMMETRIC KEY ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... DES was one of the first symmetric encryption methods used by NSA dating back to the 1970s. It used a 56 bit key and 8 bit parity. DES can easily be broken, which is why AES replaced it in 2001. AES is stronger and faster than DES. It can use a variety of key lengths (128 , 192 , or 256 bit). Other ciphers used with symmetric key encryption are Ron s Cipher v2 (RC2), Ron s Cipher v5 (RC5), International Data Encryption Algorithm (IDEA), Triple DES (3DES), Blowfish, Twofish, and SkipJack. ASYMMETRIC ENCRYPTION Asymmetric encryption (also known as public key encryption) uses two different keys that are mathematically similar but distinctly different. One key for encrypting (public key) and the other for decrypting (private key). The two keys together are called a key pair. The strength of the secrecy and integrity lies in the private key. Asymmetric encryption is usually used for smaller data, like the encryption of a symmetric key. Asymmetric uses multiple different protocols, including, SSL/TLS, IPSec, VPNs, S/MIME, and SSH tunnels. The most popular cipher used in asymmetric encryption is RSA (Rivest, Shamir, Adleman) created in 1977 by Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir and Leonard Adleman. It is based on factoring large numbers in their prime value (Wikipedia). RSA is the most secure. It ranges from 512 bits to 8,000 bits, which is about 2,401 digits. Murray Bowen s Family Systems Theory Of Family Murray Bowen developed a new theory that focuses on how the family s emotions and interactions as a unit can affect the individual and vice versa. M. 2005) The Family Systems theory proposes that to get a better look inside what s going on with the individual you must look at the family. (Baege, M. 2005) Family Systems Theory appeals to me because I have a large stepfamily and I feel this perspective does help to figure out how to deal with problems that come up with individuals while considering the whole family unit. I feel very strongly that family is important in developing a person s strengths and self worth. There are lots of issues that can come up in a stepfamily. Relationship triangles that the family systems theory talks about happened in a dysfunctional way in my family. I believe the only way to get a better insight into one s problems is to look at the family of origin and see the patterns and how everyone interacts and affects everyone. It is also important to know the level of differentiation that family members are at to help them have a sense of self outside of the family unit. In our family there has been a lot of tension because of family members not knowing what their role was in the new family unit. In my family it was very difficult to establish a parent role with a child that doesn t consider you as a parent. I have seen certain children act out when they feel that they are not receiving enough attention from the biological parent and then triangles result. The Oppression Of Indigenous People In Canada Due to disassociation, assimilation, oppression, systemic and systematic erasure and violence, Indigenous peoples have been purposefully silenced at almost every moment of interaction with Canada. Many Indigenous peoples have been strategically silenced since birth. Their names were changed for number tabulations, cultures were suppressed and languages were stolen from Indigenous children and their future generations. These actions were sanctioned by the Catholic Church, manipulated by political leaders and, ultimately, enforced by the government of Canada. The consequences of these actions rippled through the institutions and cultivated into the consciousness of settler and colonial populations. Indigenous children were subjected to an education which stripped them of their identities and forced them into lower class, lower labour positions. I was heading into the City for the first time and as if that wasn t scary enough on its own; I was going to meet my brother. The same brother I didn t know existed until nine months ago. It had started when I received a letter in the post, which in itself was a surprise. It had taken a couple of weeks to get over the shock and come to terms with the fact I had a brother. Over the following months we had spoken to each other through various forms of social media and instant messenger, getting to know each other more. So far I had learnt that his name was Michael Fuentes but that he preferred to go by Mike and that he was two years younger than me at twenty eight. He fitted the gangster stereotype perfectly, but the more I got to know him the more I disagreed with the label. He had long hair, like me, but he had shaved the sides so it was technically a Mohawk. These fears or phobias can range from anything consisting of being terrified of the dark, to being petrified to simply stand next to a person. People often wonder what causes a fear. One unique theory as to why these fears develop, is that they are the effect of a traumatic event that took place in the person s life. In addition, another philosophy is that fear is the body s natural defense to danger. • 19. The Colonization Of Kenya Under British Rule And Its... Colonization is when a country moves from its shores to set up settlements in areas already inhabited by a certain group of people and where resistance is of least concern in terms of war. This paper will first discus the colonization of Africa as well as how and why the Europeans came to Africa. It will then look at common problems that occurred due to the colonization and will specifically look into the colonization of Kenyaunder British rule and its outcomes that made the country worse. Even though colonization in some cases had positive impacts, such as the creation of infrastructure, it was more of a negative impact on African countries, such as Kenya, because of loss of sovereignty and culture, exploitation of resources and rights. It is also important to consider that despite the positive impacts such as better infrastructure, it was meant to benefit the European powers as opposed to helping the native peoples in the regions. Colonization is caused by several factors, such as overpopulation, civil unrest, religious intolerance and poverty in the origin countries. However, colonization due to imperialism is a major factor for colonization. In 1492, the Europeans reach and colonize the North Americas to establish new settlements, but disregard the native populations and resulted in loss of sovereignty. Similarly, Africawas colonized by major European powers in the 19th century, from the 1870 s to the 1900 s. Africa was a land that had plenty of resources, such as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Despite vast development in this field, various challenges are posed as no single method can answer every question raised due to its limitations and therefore must be combined in order to produce a more reliable understanding. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Brain imaging techniques used by cognitive neuroscientist s aid research into such field by analysing the different parts of the brain that become active when a certain task is performed. The main technique that can be discussed in the role of trying to understand the mind is Functional magnetic resonance imaging. This technique uses an MRI machine to measure brain activity by looking at changes in one s blood flow. Stern et al, 1996 carried out research into the parts of the brain crucial for encoding and storage of information in the long term memory store. Using fMRI, participants were monitored while performing a novel picture encoding task. Evidence was provided to show that the encoding of these pictures depends on how the ventral cortical regions and the hippocampal region interact. This highlights a link between the two which therefore creates a valid contribution to our understanding of the mind as it identifies the parts of the brain crucial for engaging in essential mental processes. On the other hand, although this link can be identified, the method used by cognitive neuroscientists cannot explain exactly how the hippocampal formation is crucial in the encoding of information in long term memory meaning that it cannot be explained as to why it is needed and what exactly would happen to the encoding process if damage to this formation was to occur. In terms of the technique itself, low temporal resolution and high expense can be noted as another ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 39. Choosing the Right Structure for a New Business Choosing the Right Structure for a New Business 1. Introduction A new idea for a business is the setting up of a mobile photographic studio. There are many individuals who want family portraits, or photos for identification or other reasons, who do not have time to go to a professional photographer. There are already a number of services where photographers will set up in a shopping centre to take family portraits of photos of children, or go to schools and take children s photographs to sell to parents. The new idea takes this a stage further, allowing a family to invite a photographer into there home for a set period of time, for a set price which will include a specific number of photographs. The idea of the convenience, as well as high quality of service, will create differentiation, with the aim of gaining business by recommendation. The business will be set up ion an areas where there are is a large population of middle and upper class families, and where a similar service is not easily identifiable. In order to set up the business it is necessary to consider the practical implications associated with the different business structures which may be used to establish the firm. 2. • 40. Anne Bradstreet s Puritan Beliefs In The Greatness Of God Puritans in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries are constantly portrayed as devout believers in the greatness of God. Puritans had an obvious belief that God acted in their everyday lives, a concept known as providentialism. When the new religion of Puritanism arose, a majority of these Puritans believed in values such as the grace of God and His divine mission. The Puritanconcept of God s grace signifies their constant need for God. God was seen as kind, and He helped to cleanse the Puritans of envy, hatred, lust, or vanity. The Puritans also believed in God s divine mission, which was a plan for each of the Puritans life. The Puritans felt that they had to follow His plan; their lives went on how they did because of God s control.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This alarming metaphor uses a dark tone and syntax to build up intensity and show God s fearful side. The choice of the word drunk helps to convey this message of God being vicious and harsh. The word drunk sometimes complies with enjoyment; God s wrath will fully shoot through one s heart and enjoy it. The bow and arrow helps to create an image of death and God s evil side. Edwards also discusses God s providentialism by writing another comparison: There are the black clouds of God s wrath now hanging directly over your heads, full of the dreadful storm, and big with thunder; and were it not for the restraining hand of God it would immediately burst forth upon you (24 29). This frightening description of a vicious storm emphasizes how helpless any person is when compared to God. The daunting tone of this dreadful storm expresses the idea of providentialism while making any readers or listeners intimidated by God s absolute power. God has full control of our lives, and He can send us to hell with ease. By putting the fear of God into others minds, they are intimidated by His providential supervision and what He can do if one does not correctly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I am also interested in Tulane because it is a school where it is very easy to double major and minor. I have a lot of interests, and I think collegeis the time for me to explore them. The admissions counselor I spoke with told me that 70% of Tulane students have a minor, 33% have a double major, and some students even have a triple major. I think this also shows that Tulane is the type of school that attracts ambitious students with a variety of interests. Additionally, I like that the core curriculum at Tulane allows students to investigate different areas of interests and to possibly find a new direction for themselves. The admissions counselor I spoke to also discussed that around 1/3 of Tulane students study abroad. This appeals to me because I would like to be able to go study theatre in Europe. • 42. Why Augustus Caesar was a Better Ruler than Julius Caesar The two greatest leaders of Rome are without a doubt Julius Caesar and Augustus Caesar. These two men have defined leadership for a country. Many other countries have modeled their ethics and used them as their own to better themselves as a whole. Without these two men, our world would not be the same in just about every way. Although these two men were both great, one of them was better than the other. Although Julius Caesarwas a dominant leader, AugustusCaesar was certainly the better leader. Julius Caesar was said to be a great ruler. Julius Caesar conquered many great lands. Some places that Caesar conquered was lands such as Britain, Gaul (modern day France), Egypt, Syria, Pontus (modern day Turkey), and most of the western European continent. Caesar has always been one of the most controversial characters of history. His admirers have seen in him the defender of the rights of the people against an oligarchy. His detractors have seen him as an ambitious demagogue, who forced his way to dictatorial power and destroyed the republic. That he was gifted and versatile there can be little doubt. He excelled in war, in statesmanship, and in oratory. (Columbia Electric Encyclopedia) Although Julius Caesar was an excellent leader, he was not as great of a ruler as Augustus Caesar. A major key to being a good leader is that the leader should try to keep his or her people safe. Peace and protection is far better than havoc and destruction. Julius Caesar was a warlord, not a ... A shaft is drilled into the ground followed by a horizontal well hole that flows to the gas layer of the earth. The well is divided into smaller sections and these sections are fractured in sections. Fracking fluid (7 million litres of water is used, several thousand tonnes of sand and 200,000 tonnes of chemicals (de Rijke, 2013)) is then pumped into the ground at high velocity. Racism is what justified America s thirst for expansion through the Manifest Destiny which gave an ideological dimension to its actions. It is important to see, at this point, that America is a country which gives a huge importance to its national beliefs which include liberalism, self determinism and democracy. Tierney (2011) says that it is ingrained so much so that there is a liberal hegemony in the way Americans think, making its existence natural to America and its inhabitants. The liberty of Americans justifies the Manifest Destiny s expansionist ideas by its dimension of free development for Americans. Race, here, became one of the determinants of who were to pay the price of that development and who were to profit. While countries such as Russia and China imposed their ideologies on their countries which already had their nationalist ideologies, America was born under its own, making the connection between its core beliefs and Manifest Destiny an effective engine to justify the latter. When the original version of the Manifest Destiny was accomplished in 1890, free development was found to be possible through two more activities, nation building in the Americas and Imperialism ( Manifest Destiny , n.d.). Nation building took form in slavery in tobacco farms, developing from an economic venture to a cultural endeavor (p.109, Fields, 1990).
