Theme For English B Essay
Crafting an essay on the given topic presents its own set of challenges, as it requires a thoughtful
exploration of personal experiences, perspectives, and the broader societal context. "Theme for
English B" is a poem by Langston Hughes, and dissecting its nuances demands a keen
understanding of the poet's intentions, the historical backdrop, and the cultural implications
embedded within the verses.
To begin with, one must delve into the intricacies of Hughes' writing style and the thematic
elements embedded in the poem. Unraveling the layers of meaning and deciphering the symbolic
language can be an intellectually demanding task. Additionally, the essay should not merely
regurgitate facts about the poet or the poem but must instead offer a unique and insightful
analysis that goes beyond surface-level interpretation.
The personal reflection required for this essay adds another layer of complexity. Expressing one's
thoughts and emotions in a coherent and engaging manner while connecting them to the broader
themes of the poem necessitates a delicate balance. It's a challenge to maintain a scholarly tone
while infusing the narrative with a personal touch that resonates with the reader.
Moreover, the exploration of the societal context depicted in the poem demands a deep
understanding of the historical and cultural backdrop against which Hughes wrote. This requires
extensive research and critical thinking to contextualize the poem within the broader discourse
of its time.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on the topic "Theme for English B" is a challenging endeavor
that requires a blend of literary analysis, personal reflection, and a comprehensive understanding
of the social and historical context. However, by navigating these challenges successfully, one
can produce an essay that not only meets the academic requirements but also offers a nuanced
and insightful interpretation of Hughes' work.

Police Foils
The police are often characterized as foils when compared to detectives due to their
analytical thinking that requires logical reasonings in order to solve a mystery, and a
lack of creative thinking that detectives use to place themselves in the mind of the
criminal. As well, detectives will often solve a mystery that otherwise
discombobulates the police. In Edgar Allan Poe s The Murders in the Rue Morgue
and The Purloined Letter, It is evident that the inability for the police to solve a case
efficiently through their lack of creative thinking and a scarcity of analytical thinking
highlights Dupin s superiority in solving crimes more effectively than the police. In

Due to the gruesome nature of the crime scene, the Police overlook things and do
not analyze every possible idea, which includes not placing themselves in the
psyche of the criminal.Their unskilled methods are what cause the Police to be
inconsistent with either being too detailed in their search, or not detailed enough.
Unlike Dupin, the Police do not have a particular method and he suggests that the
skill of the analyst is evinced. He makes, in silence, a host of observations and
inferences (Poe 67). The inconsistency of the Police search and the lack of logical
reasoning and creative thinking does not allow them to make a conclusion in the
case. Dupin steps in to play the role of the Police, using logical reasoning to search
the crime scene, and the detective by using creative thinking to come to a conclusion.
It is evident that the Police are inconsistent when they are not detailed in their search
which highlights Dupin s

Vincent was born the natural way, but Anton was genetically engineered in a

The doctor meant that the child was created using his parent s genes, not lab

Anton is tall, has strength, and has perfect eyesight. Vincent is weak and has glasses

This statement means that his abilities were based on his genes (that all of his

Technical Director Research Paper
In relation to theatre, Much like a general contractor or engineer supervises an
architectural project, the technical director oversees the design, management, and
execution of all technical elements of a live show. Because all production companies
and theaters operate differently, the exact scope of this person s job varies, but
essentially the responsibilities are the same. The TD establishes a production budget
and allocates funds to individual departments like sets, costuming, and audio; she or
he assesses the equipment needs of the production based on the artistic designs and
hires appropriate crew. In conjunction with the prop master, master electrician, and
other crew chiefs, the technical director coordinates the show build from the ground
up. She or he makes sure the audio array is hung and costumes are fitted in
accordance with the production schedule. A certain amount of administrative tasks
fall under the TD s purview, as he or she is the person responsible for securing
permits, adhering to OSHA safety standards, and liaising with the fire marshal. The
technical director is both a lead technician and a business administrator who must
account for payroll, expense reports, and inventory.... Show more content on

A degree in theatrical production is useful, as is specific training in technical drafting,
painting, electrical engineering, and mechanics. Educational requirements vary
widely; one production company may prefer an MFA and another may put more

thorough understanding of all applicable safety regulations and proper operation of
shop tools and consoles. As a project manager, this person should be capable of
accurately estimating budget and scheduling requirements as well as identifying time

The Color Purple Analysis
Thinking Ahead of Her Times
Treating women properly with dignity and respect has commonly been an issue
because it has been a constant struggle for them to gain it throughout history. This
controversy goes way back to the early twentieth century and in The Color Purple
by Alice Walker, we clearly see how women are not given the respect or dignity they
deserve. Although people seem to not recognize it as a problem, this issue must be
addressed. In The Color Purple one definitely sees how Celie represents a repressed
woman and how she learns to fight back over time to overcome her struggles in life.
In The Color Purple, Celie a young black girl who lived in Georgia was very bright
and wrote countless letters to God. These letters contained horrid experiences Celie
went through. She was constantly subjected to abuse and told she was ugly. So
these letters became an outlet for her to cope with her situation. The letters also
show how Celie has pulled through numerous struggles she endured starting from
the age of 14 and ending up into her mid forties. Although Celie has her doubt that
God even takes her concerns into consideration, these letters serve as a type of
therapy to help her ease her suffering. Having gone through countless unbelievable
troubles, Celie feels she can express her private thoughts and feelings freely. Celie
knows that Nettie, her dear sister is not receiving the letters as Mr. _____ hides them

Most of the Bury Payplan clients choosing BACS payment method and some of our
clients are interested to pay their employees via Cheque. To ensure on time
processing and output delivery NGA have implemented a schedule which is known
as Master Schedule. Which consist of Name and reference of payrolls, Frequency of
payrolls, Pay Method, Pay date, Payroll Input due date, Preview Date, Preview cutoff
date, Payroll Final report due date , BACS submission date and current status of
payroll(Process pending, processing, processed, audit pending, auditing, audited,
input awaiting, query to client). NGA give different colours for each payroll
status this help NGA to identify the payroll status easily. To ensure on time
processing of BACS NGA create another spread sheet called BACS control sheet
for BACS clients, which includes BACS transmission date, BACS processing date
and pay date. Both the schedule help NGA to process the payroll and pay the

Rhetorical Analysis Of A Professional Document
RHETORICAL ANALYSIS OF A PROFESSIONAL DOCUMENT
Introduction
In reference to the 100A assignment sheet for the rhetorical analysis, a rhetorical
analysis is a written work that focuses on analyzing and understanding a published
article. In this assignment, students will get opportunities to develop their writing
and improve deep analytic skills to identifying rhetorical strategies that writers will
use to achieve the purpose of a well written document. The audience for this
analytical paper will be my classmates, professor, and the committee members of the
100A.
To begin with, rhetorical strategies are techniques which writers use in their article
to assert and persuade the audience about a specific point. These techniques can
include narratives, descriptive, and cause and effect. Using these strategies, a writer
is able to introduce the topic and provide examples in order to achieve their purpose,
which could be a variety of different things.
In the following rhetorical analysis, I will analyze Cloud Computing for Increased
Business Value by Abdulaziz Alijabre. Alijabre received his Doctorate degree in
Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Bridgeford and is
currently a CEO of System security solution company. Alijabre has written numerous
articles and Cloud Computing for Increased Business Value was written in January
2012. This article gives a perception of how using cloud computing can be beneficial
and yet create obstacles in business. The

Sue was so excited about adopting a puppy from her local shelter! She received her
husband s blessing so long as the breed was small. Robert didn t want a dog that
required a lot of money, work, food, and space. Was he surprised by his wife s
decision!
Sue was charmed by an adorable black and white pup weighing just under 2 lbs. She
knew the dog was destined for greatness, being a Boston Great Dane. However,
she hid the truth of the dog s pedigree, telling her husband he was a Jack Russell
terrier. Instead of growing to an adult weight of 15 lbs, Bear would ultimately tip the
scale at 210. Nine years later, Bear is now one of Britain s biggest dogs.
Sport Tryouts Argumentative Essay
Have you ever felt the nerve of tryouts? Every kid gets it when they are trying out
for something in their life. Youth competitive sport tryouts have been a hot topic
recently. Sport tryouts are times when your nervous and have 210% of anxiety. You
try your hardest to the sport team you love. Some people say tryouts are fair and
some people think they are not, for example bias coaches. Although some critics
argue coaches are bias, tryouts for youth competitive sports are fair because the
coaches want to get the best team and the kids with the most talent. Sporttryouts also
make kids work harder for what they want. One reason why tryouts should exist is
because coaches look for the best team and the kids with the most talent. On the
website Blue Times it states, ...they give each player an equal opportunity to show
off to the coaches, and ensure there are not too many players on the same team. All
in all, tryouts are easy and effective way to showcase the talents of athletes (Eric 1).
As we can see tryouts are a way to show off to the coaches that you are a good
player. Also, coaches can only pick a limited amount or you might be on the team
but never play. Further more on the the website Drops of Ink it states, Yet, tryouts

website Cutting in Sports it states, You work with a private trainer. You do extra

Everyone Need Social Justice
According to John F Kennedy, All of us do not have equal talent, but all of us
should have an equal opportunity to develop our talent. Social justice is access to all
things in our life, no matter our talents, our beliefs, morals and goals. According to
Google, social justice is justice in terms of terms of the distribution of wealth,
opportunities and privileges within a society. Everyone needs social justicein their life
because everyone should be treated equal because everyone is unique in their own
way. Not everyone is getting social justicein terms of education because of crumbling
school systems, low income and rising college costs.
First of all, rising college costs is one of the major causes for why people are not
getting equal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the Department Of Education, Members of low income families are
much less prepared for college than their higher income counterparts. For example,
among high school graduates in 1992, only 21 percent of those with family
incomes of less than $25,000 were highly qualified for admission at a four year
institution, and 20 percent were minimally qualified. For students with family
incomes above $75,000, 56 percent were highly qualified and 12 percent
minimally qualified (Department of Education). Even though this was 26 years
ago, the numbers are still rising. This is stating that the lower the family s income,
the less prepared their child is to enter college and the higher the family s income,
the more prepared their child is for college. According to the NY Times, One
reason for the growing gap in achievement, researchers say, could be that wealthy
parents invest more time and money than ever before in their children (in weekend
sports, ballet, music lessons, math tutors, and in overall involvement in their
children s schools), while lower income families, which are now more likely than
ever to be headed by a single parent, are increasingly stretched for time and resources
(Tavernise). This is stating that higher income families that are more involved in
their child s school, will be more prepared and get more education than

reviewed in this report are India and China. Macgregor Meats wishes to export to
India and China, requires research before attempting an exporting deal with either of
the two countries. Research is not done on the other countries then products could fail

Analysis Of The Poem Southern Gothic
Devan Gilbert

Southern Gothic Literature In the 19th century, the Southern Gothic genre quickly
became popular after Edgar Allen Poe poems in the 18th century. Most writings were
formed around the Civil War era, which plays an enormous part in the tone and
setting in Southern Gothic writing styles. (O Connell 63) Southern Gothic writing
elements consist of horror, romance and psychological and domestic dramas (63).
The setting of Southern Gothic was always dingy and dark which explains the tone
of most southern states at this time. Southern Gothic writing styles were known to
be grotesque, violent and gloomy with dark psychological twists that were to be
carried on into the 20th century. There can also be other ways to exercise Southern
Gothic styles like including strange events, paranormal elements and representing
history in an almost comical approach. (63) There are some authors who have
written very influential Southern Gothic style literature, such as A Rose for Emily
by William Faulkner, A Good Man is Hard to Find and Good Country People by
Flannery O Conner. The father of Southern Gothic literature is William Faulkner, he
is the most significant Southern Gothic writer with his most popular publishing A
Rose for Emily. He beautifully portrays the Southern Gothic style with a morbid
fictional story about Emily Grierson. Emily lost her father and was living alone in a
large house in a classy neighborhood, which she felt
Man s Inhumanity Towards Fellow Man
During the time of the French Revolution, the nobles were very powerful, and this
allowed them to have much control over the peasants and the way they lived. In
Dickens A Tale of Two Cities, he illustrates the disparity of the peasants, and the great
contrast between the social classes. The peasants lived in harsh conditions with very
little, and were greatly mistreated by the nobles, who abused their power over them.
The peasants realized around the timeof the Revolution that they must change their
state of living, and take revenge on the nobles for the evil ways they had been treated
for many, many years. Man s inhumanity towards fellow man is a theme that is
constantly repeated and thoroughly developed throughout the novel, beginning with
the wine cask, then with the birds and the scarecrows, and lastly with the grindstone.
When the wine cask spills, the peasants around St. Antoine are desperately trying
to drink whatever they can; and, as this is happening, the reality of the poverty in
St. Antoine and other parts of France is shown, as well as the great disparity
present in these areas where the nobles are depriving the peasants. Dickens
expresses this when he says, A large cask of wine had been dropped and spilled in
the street...all the people within reach had suspended their business, or their idleness,
to run to the spot and drink the wine (Dickens 20). The cask that spilled in the street
of St. Antoine represents the blood that will be shed during the time of
The Transformation Of The Norfolk Clinic
The transformation of the Norfolk clinic was completed in 4 phases. The lean six
sigma principles that were utilized throughout this project which included: focusing
on the customer (this included improving patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction
and improving the overall throughput of the clinic), Identifying and understanding
the value system (how the works gets done), managing, improving, and smoothing
the flow, removing waste, educating employees and patients throughout the
process, and proceeding in a systematic way. The first step of the process was
gaining an understanding of how the clinic flowed on a daily basis. This
information was captured through interviewing each department of the clinic. Two
primary questions that were asked to employees were: If you could change
anything about your process, what would it be? and What do you believe goes
well about your process? Information about front desk staff includes 1 check in
person, 1 checkout person, 1 scheduler, and 1 medical record person. Although
there is one person in each role, these jobs are not exclusive to front desk staff. All
staff within this area are cross trained and help out where needed. The primary
strength of this particular department is their ability to make things works with or
without staff shortages. Their primary weakness and opportunity for growth, at the
same token is feeling that they had to take care of all the needs or concerns that
come up vs. doing what they can do and

outside society. Being spoken to in Spanish he feels specially recognized. Feeling
as if he belongs, because the words that he is hearing and the words that are used to
address him are spoken with ease and is not heard by the gringos. Rodriquez also
feels a distance from the barrio children. Although they also spoke Spanish they
were not part of what he considered home. He did not live in the Barrio but rather in
a very white neighborhood, only a block from the biggest, whitest houses, of
Sacramento in the fifties. Due to the location of his home he explains as an
accident of geography that sent Rodriquez to a school of white children. It was
there at school that he first heard his name pronounced in English, and this
occurrence made the young child cry. The name Richard was as foreign to him as
many other English words, it was the first time he truly understood the difference
between home and public. Richard Rodriguez talks about bilingual education and
says how it is impossible for a child to speak his family s language in school. His

of the 3rd Division on D Day were to cut the Caen Bayeux road, seize the Car

heavy resistance from the German 716th Infantry Division; the preliminary

the first wave to be delayed until 07:35. The beach was defended by two battalions

the first wave. Strength of numbers, as well as coordinated fire support from artillery

Tension in Witch s Money Essay
Tension in Witch s Money
In John Collier s Witch s Money, the stranger who suddenly appears in a remote
mountain village in Spain is initially seen by Foiral as an unwelcome madman.
Certainly his surrealist description of the landscape must seem a symptom of insanity
to one unfamiliar with the trends of modern art. Once he offers a nice sum of money
to buy Foiral s house, however, the stranger is treated with a new attitude. He is still
not completely accepted by the community that he has moved into, but he does wield
a new type of power simply because only he can produce cash from paper billets. With
his magic cheques, though, the stranger creates a tension that grows into an
economic struggle between himself and his community. ... Show more content on

This knowledge of cheques that the stranger has over Foiral and the community
increases the tension between them. When Foiral finally receives his money from the
cheque, he is under the impression that all cheques give thirty thousand francs.
Knowing that the stranger has a whole book of cheques, Foiral and his friends
immediately feel jealous of the outsider: he has something that they want. A stranger
a madman who has more than any member of the community, has invaded their town.
Because he has so much and they so little, the villagers feel that it is their right to
take the stranger s magic cheques . . . even if, in the process, they must take his life
as well. Ironically, tragically, their righteous ambition leads to their own destruction.
With the stranger dead, the people of the community help themselves to his
cheques. Money begins to exchange hands as goods are bought and deals are
made. The progress of economic development comes to the village. No one is
afraid to dig up the money that they have saved because as soon as the cheques are
cashed there will be no worries, and the town can continue to prosper. But as every
man meditates on their two of these excellent billets, they begin to feel that they
were too rich to speak to each other (71, 72). Conflict grows between one time
friends as they argue over what is to be bought and sold. Greed has come to town
with the artist and his witch s money.

The Lake House
Pulling up to the lake house, I looked over at my older sister, Clara, who was busy
staring through the window of the old truck. Every year, my Dad s whole side of
the family stays together for a week every summer. Ever since I can remember, we
ve stayed at this huge, old lake house in Columbia, South Carolina. Clara and I hate
being here. Strange things happen in this house... plates fall out 5432wqof
cabinets and voices echo in the house throughout the night. Nevertheless, my
grandparents still loved coming here and made us visit every year. Clara, my Dad,
and I are the last ones to arrive because our flight from Chicago was overlaid two
hours. I missed Chicago already, the constant buzz of people and the bright lights.
Walking up to the house, everything felt the same as it always did. The humidity is
choking, making it hard to breathe. The sun is blinding and the temperature is
somewhere in the 90 s, as to be expected late July in South Carolina. The lake
smells like dead fish. Always, no matter what. We walked up the old, wooden
stairs. The light blue paint was chipping off the door, and the door itself looked
like it was about to fall of the hinges. Clara let herself in, pulling her lime suitcase
behind her. My two little cousins, Reagan and Matthew, immediately saw her and
squealed with joy. Everyone loved Clara, her bubbly personality easy to get along
with. No one, on the other hand, was ever excited to see me. I was the quiet one,

The original cast, although very good actors at the time, just were not as dramatic
and believable as the cast of the remake. Both films have very different imitations
of who they think the roles should be played by and how they should be played.
The only character that pretty much stays the same in the way they should be
played is the one who plays Carl Denham. In both movies he is very obsessed with
making movies and making the movie something the people will wants to see.
That is his main goal. Ann and Jack are very different in both movies. In the
original film Ann is very sweet, confident woman who had just hit a few numbs in
the road. In the remake she is a very strong willed woman with what some would
say, an uptight personality. Jack, in the original film, is a typical man. By this I
mean him and others see him as a masculine man who does not open up to others
easily. In the remake he is just some guy who is supposed to help out in the movie
but ends up having to risk his life for Ann. In both films he falls in love with
Transformation In Fall Of The House Of Usher And Tell
Tale...
Gothic Literature and Magic Realism (Rough Draft)
What you fear most of all is fear itself Reamus Lupin. Transformation in stories
causes fear and, fear is what we are known to be afraid of. What exactly is
transformation? Transformation in scary stories is what changes the story to create
fear. Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by a certain pain or threat. This all
happens in Gothic Literature and Magic Realism. Gothic literature is one of the
beginning genres of scary stories. It was formed around 1760 and is still used today.
One person in history that commonly used Gothic Literature is Edgar Allan Poe.
Edgar Allan Poe wrote many pieces of Gothic Literature such as Fall of The House
of Usher and Telltale Heart. This essay will be about transformation used in Gothic

There can be many types of supernatural transformation but, I ll only go over three
types. The first thing are ghosts. In Fall of The House of Usher ghosts are used to
scare us. I learned that the glimpse I had obtained of her person would thus
probably be the last I should obtain that the lady, at least while living, would be
seen by me no more. The next transformation is Possession. We see possession in
all types of Horror. One horror game that I like is Outlast. We didn t choose this.
Why should we have to pay for it? Why do we have to die? Walker will kill us all
just for being sick. We re still people... We didn t choose this! The last type of

Supernatural Character Analysis
Characters you should know from Supernatural and things about them (MAY
CONTAIN SPOILERS)
Supernatural is a show about two brothers named Sam and Dean Winchester, or as
Crowley says, Moose and Squirrel. The two brothers crisscross the country fighting
demons, witches and all kinds of different monsters and ghosts making friends and
enemies along the way.
Dean and Sam
Sam and Dean are brothers which means they don t always get along but when
they do fight it doesn t last long because they eventually figure out they need each
other and that they are each other s weaknesses. They are what s called hunters
and not just normal hunters they hunt monsters and take care of them. Sam is 4
years younger than his brother but he is taller and has longer hair. Sam seems like
a teddy bear on the outside but could actually kill you. Dean is the older brother
and has short hair and is only a little shorter. He looks like he could kill you but is
actually a real teddy bear. Dean has been through so much and so has Sam but Sam
isn t affected as much. Dean loves pie and Sam hates clowns, both of these facts are
very important. There parents are John and Mary Winchester. Mary was killed by
(SPOILER ALERT) a yellow eyed demon named Azazel (END OF SPOILER) when
Sam was exactly 6 months old which drove John into hunting bringing the boys with
him raising them like soldiers. Dean always followed his father s orders but Sam ran
away and went to stanford for a little while, until Dean brought him
The Ethics Of Gene Therapy
Over 70,000 people worldwide have cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that causes a
buildup in mucus, difficulty breathing, and damage to the lungs (Cystic Fibrosis,
n.d.). Currently, there is no cure, but treatments such as gene therapy may help
those who have the disease (Gene Therapy, n.d.). Gene therapy is a method of
treating genetic diseases in which a vector such as a virus delivers the genes to
target cells. This causes the expression of a person s genes to change (Hanna, 2006).
Somatic cells or germline cells can be treated (GeneTherapy, n.d.). Gene transfer to
somatic cells changes the recipient s genome (Hanna, 2006). Somatic gene therapyis
likely to be a successful way to treat diseases caused by a single mutation (Gene

Geneticists learn from them which allows them to make advancements in gene

a single mutation. Somatic gene therapy, while risky, could treat these diseases and
ease the suffering of those who have them. Germline gene therapy, on the other hand,
remains an ethical issue. Some say that it could eliminate genetic diseases altogether
for future generations while others say that it could cause more deadly and
catastrophic problems for future generations. Nevertheless, it is vital for geneticists to
continue to test gene therapy. It is a wonderful way for them to gather information to

Descriptive Essay About Snow
It was a cold day, so cold that your arms start to sting as if a needle is impaling the
surface of your skin. The wind applies a force which feels as if your face is oozing
with thick crimson red blood. The gray puffy clouds covered the sky and dropped
small snowflakes onto the road s surface. A man stood there, freezing, clearing the
coat of thick white snowfrom the concrete road. His nose runs with a river of snot
that floods out when the cold windstrikes. His sense of smell is heavily clogged by
the slimy snot, but he can still smell the scent of the steamy hot chocolate which
sits on the top of his snow covered car. His feet start to numb because of the cold
flood which soaks through his boots to his white, silky socks. His feet feel as if he
stepped into the freezing cold ocean. As if he fell through ice and he was stuck
standing there. The vast pile of the ice white snow feels almost like a quicksand
around his black rubber boot. Foggy figures of people shovel the big piles of snow
off the sidewalks. They scrape and pick at the glossy white ice which sticks to the
sidewalk like a little boy clinging to his mother s side. His feet still sting as if he
was stepping on pins and needles. His hands are damp with sweat from grasping
the curved metal shaft attached to a socket which holds the blade. The blade cuts
holes into the thick powdered snow which is removed from the endless pile. The jet
black shovel is filled with slushy snow and crystal shards of ice. The end of
Symbolic Perspective Paper
Symbolic Perspective The culture of an institutions is highly tied to the symbolic
leadership (Bolman Gallos, 2011; Tull Freeman, 2011). Bolman and Gallos (2011)
write a duty of leaders is to appreciate the power of a strong and coherent institutional
culture and their role and responsibilities in creating and sustaining that culture (p.
125). Symbolic leaders view their responsibility to tell the institutional history/stories,
set the vision for the future, as well as use ceremony, rituals, and symbols to capture
the attention of others to frame the image/meaning of the university(Bolman Gallos,

An essential element of the symbolic prospective is knowing the institutions past,
often done through telling stories. It is through these stories that one can infer the
culture and shred experiences of the constituents of the institution. There is a lack of
story telling though on a wider scale at this university. Colleagues share their stories
informal and there has been resent efforts to better use alumni for this purpose, but
there is not a systematic means to coordinate these efforts. The availability of
technology though opens up great possibilities to address this concern. Possibilities
could include providing increase opportunities to share the stories of graduate or
upperclassmen through video conferencing. As previously discussed the relatively
short life span for students at the basic science campus prevents an understanding of
the growth that has occurred. Anther option is a marketing campaign of then and
now. This could be done through interviewing colleagues, alumni, upperclassmen to
collect and share their stories and the history of the
African Americans Oppressed
In this primary document, African Americans have dependably been oppressed. At
the point when Africans first came to America, they were taken against their will and
compelled to work as slaves. They were given no compensation and frequently
severely whipped and beaten. African Americans battled for their opportunity, and up
until the Civil War it was never given to them. At the point when the Civil War
started, they needed to join in battling to free all slaves. Their chance to be officers
and battle close by white men similarly did not come effortlessly, but rather in the
long run African Americans substantiated themselves ready to withstand the battle
and go down as genuine American heroes. With the war simply starting, ex slaves and
other African Americans needed to get in on the action. They needed to battle against

production of cocoa rapidly decreased, raising the price per tonne. Shown below is
a graph of the price decrease and increase of cocoa over the past few years. In May
the production escalated expeditiously. Because of cocoa production decrease the
government created a project called CODAPEC. CODAPEC released to spray onto
the natural cocoa farms to kill any disease. The Cocoa production increased

The chemicals released can affect the flora and fauna of the environment along with
the chemical physicality. Unfortunately, the production of cocoa beans created a
problem. The husks for the cocoa pods created a big waste affecting the natural

Purgative medicines are cheap in cost but children dislike the taste because of its
bitterness. The researchers came up with this project due to the desire of helping
the parents of infected children in convincing their kids to take good tasting
purgative remedy that is cheaper in cost and can be done at home. The researchers
found out that pounded and boiled akapulko seeds are used as an effective
purgative agent. Akapulko is an herbal plant that can be used in curing skin,
stomach, lung, and mouth problems, and is well known for its sudorific, diuretic
and purgative characteristics. It can be ingested without having any side effect or
contraindications. The researchers thought of pulvoron, being a healthy, delicious,
and attractive treat for all. The akapulko seeds were consider as extender in place
of the traditional rice crisps, nuts, or nougats in the pulvoron. Established that
akapulvoron could be an effective and safe purgative treat, the researchers intended
to conduct a sensory analysis of the product to determine if it would be generally

Most business networks today use switches to connect computers, printers and
servers within a building or campus. A switch serves as a controller, enabling
networked devices to talk to each other efficiently. Routers, on the other hand, are
a much more sophisticated piece of technology. They are small like a switch and
look like modems in which multiple nodes can be connected. Today s routers are
actually designed for the purpose of connecting multiple area networks (both local
and wide). In terms of the internet, routers actually serve as a temporary destination
for network traffic. Routers are capable of transmitting and receiving data packets
but will actually read the packet to get its IP address for determining the packet s
destination. Unlike the switch, routers are capable of joining the multiple
networks together; in the case of Kudler Fine Foods, their three store locations.
Cable is the medium through which information usually moves from one network
device to another. There are several types of cable which are commonly used with
LANs. In some cases, a network will utilize only one type of cable, other networks
will use a variety of cable types. The type of cable chosen for a network is related to
the network s topology, protocol, and size. (FCITC, 1997) There are four basic
types of cable: Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP), Shielded Twisted Pair (STP),
Coaxial Cable, and Fiber Optic Cable. Unshielded twisted pair can range from
basic telephone grade wiring to high speed cabling. This cable consist of four pairs
of wires inside the outer covering each pair twisted with a different number of twists
per inch to reduce/eliminate interference from adjacent pair or other devices. The
tighter the twisting the higher data rates it supports but it also will increase the cost
of the cable. Shielded twisted pair cables are actually shielded from radio and
electrical frequencies and

Why Is Karl Marx Considered Radical
Karl Marx and His Radical Views
Karl Marx[i] Karl Marx is among the most important and influential of all modern
philosophers who expressed his ideas on humans in nature. According to the
University of Dayton, the human person is part of a larger history of life on this
planet. Through technology humans have the power to have an immense effect on
that life. [ii] The people of his time found that the impact of the Industrial Revolution
would further man s success within this world and would ensure his success as a
species. Marx was extremely radical in finding that this was a positive impact on
humans in nature.

Marx believed the workers were not collecting the benefits of the Industrial
Revolution. Marx says that men are forced to work for natural survival. Marx also
suggests that working men only have time to engage in the basic animalistic
tendencies of a quest for survival. He says that man becomes alienated from nature
and other humans as well. Marx is basically saying that man lived day by day, by day
and he has nothing else to really live for.
Marx thought that as the workers grew stronger, they would eventually rebel against
the organization. In doing this, they would create a classless society where
everyone would be equal and all property would be abolished. The basis of Marxism
is the conviction that socialism is inevitable. Marx believed the free enterprise system,
or capitalism, was doomed and that socialism was the only option[iv]. Obviously, this
was not a favored philosophy with expanding industrialists, entrepreneurs, and
existing political systems of the mid nineteenth century [v].
Marx wrote The Communist Manifesto with the German radical, Fredriech Engels,
Fredriech Engels[vi]
who was also Marx s best friend. The Communist Manifesto was a pamphlet written
on the eve of the German Revolution in 1848. In his essay, Marx explains his radical
theories on politics and history. Marx and Engels also examined the positive aspects
of capitalism in The Communist Manifesto. They thought the bourgeoisie had

Sai Mistry, undergoes a personal development process that is the product of her life

Sai s emotions are naive because she is not the first woman in history to grow up at
an intersection of opposing cultural forces. Just as a giant squid is not predisposed to
meet other creatures of his kind, Sai s sheltered upbringing prevents her from
meeting people with similar experiences. Sai s exploration of her appearance
allows her to gain the crucial tool of agency to help her gain maturity. At the
beginning of her relationship with Gyan, Sai begins to explore her appearance;
she becomes continually obsessed with her own face ;however, she is aware that
she is whetting her appetite for something else (83). Sai is using her face as a
placeholder for her desire to connect with others. Then, as her relationship escalates,
she feels that her companionship had increased the sensation of fluidity she d felt
before the mirror, that reduction to malleable form (146) Sai s interest in her
appearance highlights her new interest in her agency, which is a mark of her
emerging maturity. She is beginning to understand through the reflections around her
that she can edit herself as well as her identity. She is realizing that she does not
need to be limited by the static, old fashioned influences in her community; she can

History And The Texas Judiciary System
The history of the Judicial System in Texas began in the early nineteenth century,
specifically in 1836. Since then, it has gone under many changes in structure, the
importance of certain roles, and many constitutional amendments. Because of all of
these adjustments and layering, the Texas Judiciary System is one that is very
complex and intricate with many separations and overlapping areas.
One unique feature about Texas s system is the bifurcated appellate system. This
means that there are two separate courts at the highest level, both of which have
specific requirements to hear certain types of cases. The only other state that follows
this type of structure for their judiciary system is Oklahoma. The following
information about the structure and description of each level of the judiciary
system is taken from the Texas Courts government sponsored website. Starting from
the very top breaking down the structure level by level, the Texas Supreme Court,
one of the two Texas Supreme courts, deals with civil issues and juvenile criminal
cases. The other court, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, hears cases that only
deal with criminal activity not involving juveniles. In addition to these highest level
courts, the Texas Judiciary has several levels that lead up to these two courts. The
level right below the two Supreme Courts consists of fourteen Texas courts of
appeals that have been created one by one since the creation of the judiciary system
in 1836. Each of these

medication to stop aches and pains, and when is an appropriate time to return to
work? This injury is unlike any I have ever experienced and takes time and effort to
get life going normally. However, it is not the injury that is causing the grief; it is
finding an ability to mentally grasp the fast past movement of daily business through
reasoning, facts, and reality. If I could describe it in words, it would be like standing
in the center of the city with... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The biggest challenges I face is making this robust reality more than just a bad dream,
but find a successful method to redeem any sanity that through rational thinking,
things can change for the better. For me, it is all about applying critical thinking
skills and problem solving techniques to understand the conflict thoroughly, and
personally begin to find ways to create new ideas that may lead to growth and
development; that can reassure an ability to perform within the daily hustle of
business. I have chosen to reference the Ladder of Inference for critically analyzing
the conflict. The Ladder of Inference will allow time for reasoning things through and
thinking about facts (Mind Tools Editorial Team, 1996 2017, Retrieved from https:/
/www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newTMC_91.htm). Nevertheless, clearly
identifying proper ways to implement a thinking strategy will help make correct
decisions
Arrow Of God District 9 Comparison
Arrow of God written by Chinua Achebe is set in the 1920 s located in Nigeria. The
book focuses on the main character Ezeulu, the Igbo people s chief priest. Throughout
the text we see Ezeulu have conflicts with other tribes and with Christian
missionaries, get sent to prison for denying a position from the British, and Ezeulu
having difficulties within his own tribe and their yam harvest (Achebe). All the
events that happened in Arrow of Godlead to a much deeper meaning. If we take a
look at a look at the very complex film District 9produced by Peter Jackson, we see a
very different but similar story. This is a mockumentary type film that explores
the life of a MNU executive, an alien and his son, the Nigerian gang, and a
mercenary soldier employed by MNU (IMDb). In both stories, Arrow of God and
District 9, there are very blunt patterns of fiction, distinct archetypes, and prominent
philosophies used. The stories above are two different types of media, with similar
content. Both book and movie shows a tribe being pushed out of their home, in
almost the same way. In both stories we see patterns of fiction, which is when a
reader is introduced to a characterand some event or a challenge occurs. In Arrow of
God, Ezeulu is faced with a difficult decision towards the end of the story. We call
this The Choice. Ezeulu is faced with the decision to allow his tribe to participate in
the New Yam Feast, but instead tells them not to and famine strikes the
Essay I Want to Be Physician Assistant
You must love your work, and not be always looking over the edge of it...You must
have pride in your own work and in learning to do it well, George Elliot says in his
novel Middlemarch. Elliot suggests that passion is what stops the moans and
groans of going to work every day and turns work into fun. It is crucial too to learn
fully how to do the job so that the outcome of practicing it involves love, pride and
satisfaction. However, in this hard economic time, one cannot make decisions based
on pure passion and heavenly outcome; other factors such as income are essential
too. Also, one needs to consider the time, effort, dedication and service to others one
is committing oneself to. When on the brink of choosing a career, it is... Show more

Then, one must have about three years of health care experience before entering into
a program. After both prerequisites are achieved, one has to attend an accredited PA
program, a 27 month long program that includes classroom lectures and clinical
rotation. Once one has completed the program they must take the Physician Assistant
National Certifying Exam (PANCE) administered by the National Commission on
Certification of the Physician Assistant. Once one has passed the PANCE, they are
officially a certified Physician Assistant. A Physician assistant practices medicine
under the direction of a physician, and can nearly do anything regarding medicine.
What exactly are some of the thing a physician assistant does on a day to day basis?
Physician Assistants perform physical examinations and take medical histories. They
also make diagnoses, treat illnesses, and prescribe the needed medication. Like
physicians they can also perform procedures and make rounds in hospitals and
nursing homes. A PA is able to do a variety of things from counseling patients to
assisting in surgeries. Why should one become a physician assistant rather than a
physician? A physician assistants has advantages that physicians lack. One benefit
would be the time spent on academic studies. A physician assistant puts in an average
of 27 months of education in the PA program, whereas a
The Digital Assistant, Or Pda
The personal digital assistant, or PDA, was a small hand held electronic device
that was intended for use as a simple organizer, including features like a calendar
and tasks list. Today, the PDA has fallen into disuse, replaced by its more popular
and powerful successor: the smart phone. Voice recognition technology is giving
rebirth to the spirit of the PDA in the form of new intelligent digital systems
designed to help you manage your affairs. These reborn personal assistants are
gaining popularity in both consumer and business markets due to their ability to
streamline commonplace tasks. As new technologies are discovered, additional
applications and markets will be uncovered for this technology to take root in. A
Brief History The idea of digital personal assistants has been around in the public
realm quite a while thanks mainly to Hollywood since the 1960 s. Many movies
back in the sixties would depict computers or other devices that had the ability to
plan and organize events with limited human interaction. Due to the production of
several science fiction titles such as Star Trek, Star Wars, and A Space Odyssey,
the early conceptions of such beings as cognitive personal assistants came to the
public eye. Early examples of such devices included Star Trek s talking computer,
the Hal 9000, and R2D2; devices that could in most cases assist or come up with
plans instead of requiring humans to do the organization, reasoning, or brainstorming
of all factors in the decision
Budweiser Rhetorical Analysis Essay
Budweiser creates numerous commercials every year to advertise to the public.
Many of their well known and most effective commercials have been aired during
the Super Bowl. This is the one time a year ordeal where they can advertise to
millions of people at a single instant. In 2013, Budweiser presented Clydesdale
Brotherhood, which was geared to the emotional and tender side of the audience
watching. With this heartfelt ad, Budweiser imparts the viewers attention to the
content they are trying to transmit to the consumers ( ). Budweiser uses various
rhetorical strategies and other techniques to bring people closer to the beer
company like never before. The advertisement starts by displaying a charming little
farm and the soothing background music of Landslide by Stevie Nicks. The
audience is then introduced to a man sporting a Budweiser cap tending to a young
Clydesdale horse. The commercial develops as the man helps raise and train the
young Clydesdale. Budweiser begins to show many sincere... Show more content on

Each scene of the commercial was intented to tug at the inner emotions of the
audience thus generating a relation between Budweiser and the viewers. This
advertisement used the song Landslide which was extremely effective due to the
way Budweiser linked key words in the song to various scenes to further more
fervently connect the audience to the ad. When Stevie Nicks sang the part I took
my love and took it down, the audience observes the link of companionship being
created amongst the Clydesdale and the man as they interact and love one another
over the years. Next, she sings I ve been afraid of changing, and the Clydesdale is
led onto the Budweiser truck by his master. The following phrase Cause I built my
life around you, draws the viewers to the sight in which the man grips the horses s
old rope and reflects on the significant piece the horse had in his

To begin with, one must delve into the intricacies of Hughes' writing style and the thematic elements embedded in the poem. Unraveling the layers of meaning and deciphering the symbolic language can be an intellectually demanding task. Additionally, the essay should not merely regurgitate facts about the poet or the poem but must instead offer a unique and insightful analysis that goes beyond surface-level interpretation. The personal reflection required for this essay adds another layer of complexity. Police Foils The police are often characterized as foils when compared to detectives due to their analytical thinking that requires logical reasonings in order to solve a mystery, and a lack of creative thinking that detectives use to place themselves in the mind of the criminal. As well, detectives will often solve a mystery that otherwise discombobulates the police. In Edgar Allan Poe s The Murders in the Rue Morgue and The Purloined Letter, It is evident that the inability for the police to solve a case efficiently through their lack of creative thinking and a scarcity of analytical thinking highlights Dupin s superiority in solving crimes more effectively than the police. It is evident that the Police are inconsistent when they are not detailed in their search which highlights Dupin s

The TD establishes a production budget and allocates funds to individual departments like sets, costuming, and audio; she or he assesses the equipment needs of the production based on the artistic designs and hires appropriate crew. • 5. The Color Purple Analysis Thinking Ahead of Her Times Treating women properly with dignity and respect has commonly been an issue because it has been a constant struggle for them to gain it throughout history. This controversy goes way back to the early twentieth century and in The Color Purple by Alice Walker, we clearly see how women are not given the respect or dignity they deserve. Although people seem to not recognize it as a problem, this issue must be addressed. In The Color Purple one definitely sees how Celie represents a repressed woman and how she learns to fight back over time to overcome her struggles in life. In The Color Purple, Celie a young black girl who lived in Georgia was very bright and wrote countless letters to God. These letters contained horrid experiences Celie went through. She was constantly subjected to abuse and told she was ugly. So these letters became an outlet for her to cope with her situation. The letters also show how Celie has pulled through numerous struggles she endured starting from the age of 14 and ending up into her mid forties. Although Celie has her doubt that God even takes her concerns into consideration, these letters serve as a type of therapy to help her ease her suffering. Having gone through countless unbelievable troubles, Celie feels she can express her private thoughts and feelings freely. Celie knows that Nettie, her dear sister is not receiving the letters as Mr. _____ hides them from Nettie so that she cannot receive them. In her

Sporttryouts also make kids work harder for what they want. One reason why tryouts should exist is because coaches look for the best team and the kids with the most talent. Everyone needs social justicein their life because everyone should be treated equal because everyone is unique in their own way. For example, among high school graduates in 1992, only 21 percent of those with family incomes of less than $25,000 were highly qualified for admission at a four year institution, and 20 percent were minimally qualified. For students with family incomes above $75,000, 56 percent were highly qualified and 12 percent minimally qualified (Department of Education). Analysis Of The Poem Southern Gothic Devan Gilbert Mrs. Myszkowski English 1102 17 April 2016 Southern Gothic Literature In the 19th century, the Southern Gothic genre quickly became popular after Edgar Allen Poe poems in the 18th century. Most writings were formed around the Civil War era, which plays an enormous part in the tone and setting in Southern Gothic writing styles. (O Connell 63) Southern Gothic writing elements consist of horror, romance and psychological and domestic dramas (63). The setting of Southern Gothic was always dingy and dark which explains the tone of most southern states at this time. Southern Gothic writing styles were known to be grotesque, violent and gloomy with dark psychological twists that were to be carried on into the 20th century. There can also be other ways to exercise Southern Gothic styles like including strange events, paranormal elements and representing history in an almost comical approach. • 14. Man s Inhumanity Towards Fellow Man During the time of the French Revolution, the nobles were very powerful, and this allowed them to have much control over the peasants and the way they lived. In Dickens A Tale of Two Cities, he illustrates the disparity of the peasants, and the great contrast between the social classes. The peasants lived in harsh conditions with very little, and were greatly mistreated by the nobles, who abused their power over them. The peasants realized around the timeof the Revolution that they must change their state of living, and take revenge on the nobles for the evil ways they had been treated for many, many years. Man s inhumanity towards fellow man is a theme that is constantly repeated and thoroughly developed throughout the novel, beginning with the wine cask, then with the birds and the scarecrows, and lastly with the grindstone. When the wine cask spills, the peasants around St. Antoine are desperately trying to drink whatever they can; and, as this is happening, the reality of the poverty in St. Antoine and other parts of France is shown, as well as the great disparity present in these areas where the nobles are depriving the peasants. Dickens expresses this when he says, A large cask of wine had been dropped and spilled in the street...all the people within reach had suspended their business, or their idleness, to run to the spot and drink the wine (Dickens 20). The cask that spilled in the street of St. Antoine represents the blood that will be shed during the time of

The researchers came up with this project due to the desire of helping the parents of infected children in convincing their kids to take good tasting purgative remedy that is cheaper in cost and can be done at home. The researchers found out that pounded and boiled akapulko seeds are used as an effective purgative agent. Akapulko is an herbal plant that can be used in curing skin, stomach, lung, and mouth problems, and is well known for its sudorific, diuretic and purgative characteristics. It can be ingested without having any side effect or contraindications. The researchers thought of pulvoron, being a healthy, delicious, and attractive treat for all. The akapulko seeds were consider as extender in place of the traditional rice crisps, nuts, or nougats in the pulvoron. Most business networks today use switches to connect computers, printers and servers within a building or campus. A switch serves as a controller, enabling networked devices to talk to each other efficiently. Routers, on the other hand, are a much more sophisticated piece of technology. They are small like a switch and look like modems in which multiple nodes can be connected. Today s routers are actually designed for the purpose of connecting multiple area networks (both local and wide). In terms of the internet, routers actually serve as a temporary destination for network traffic. Routers are capable of transmitting and receiving data packets but will actually read the packet to get its IP address for determining the packet s destination. Unlike the switch, routers are capable of joining the multiple networks together; in the case of Kudler Fine Foods, their three store locations. Cable is the medium through which information usually moves from one network device to another. There are several types of cable which are commonly used with LANs. In some cases, a network will utilize only one type of cable, other networks will use a variety of cable types. The type of cable chosen for a network is related to the network s topology, protocol, and size. (FCITC, 1997) There are four basic types of cable: Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP), Shielded Twisted Pair (STP), Coaxial Cable, and Fiber Optic Cable. Unshielded twisted pair can range from basic telephone grade wiring to high speed cabling. This cable consist of four pairs of wires inside the outer covering each pair twisted with a different number of twists per inch to reduce/eliminate interference from adjacent pair or other devices. The tighter the twisting the higher data rates it supports but it also will increase the cost of the cable. Shielded twisted pair cables are actually shielded from radio and electrical frequencies and

Why Is Karl Marx Considered Radical Karl Marx and His Radical Views Karl Marx[i] Karl Marx is among the most important and influential of all modern philosophers who expressed his ideas on humans in nature. According to the University of Dayton, the human person is part of a larger history of life on this planet. Through technology humans have the power to have an immense effect on that life. [ii] The people of his time found that the impact of the Industrial Revolution would further man s success within this world and would ensure his success as a species. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Marx believed the workers were not collecting the benefits of the Industrial Revolution. Marx says that men are forced to work for natural survival. Marx also suggests that working men only have time to engage in the basic animalistic tendencies of a quest for survival. He says that man becomes alienated from nature and other humans as well. Marx is basically saying that man lived day by day, by day and he has nothing else to really live for. Marx thought that as the workers grew stronger, they would eventually rebel against the organization. In doing this, they would create a classless society where everyone would be equal and all property would be abolished. The basis of Marxism is the conviction that socialism is inevitable. Marx believed the free enterprise system, or capitalism, was doomed and that socialism was the only option[iv]. Obviously, this was not a favored philosophy with expanding industrialists, entrepreneurs, and existing political systems of the mid nineteenth century [v]. Marx wrote The Communist Manifesto with the German radical, Fredriech Engels, Fredriech Engels[vi] who was also Marx s best friend. Since then, it has gone under many changes in structure, the importance of certain roles, and many constitutional amendments. Because of all of these adjustments and layering, the Texas Judiciary System is one that is very complex and intricate with many separations and overlapping areas. One unique feature about Texas s system is the bifurcated appellate system. This means that there are two separate courts at the highest level, both of which have specific requirements to hear certain types of cases. The only other state that follows this type of structure for their judiciary system is Oklahoma. The following information about the structure and description of each level of the judiciary system is taken from the Texas Courts government sponsored website. Starting from the very top breaking down the structure level by level, the Texas Supreme Court, one of the two Texas Supreme courts, deals with civil issues and juvenile criminal cases. The other court, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, hears cases that only deal with criminal activity not involving juveniles. In addition to these highest level courts, the Texas Judiciary has several levels that lead up to these two courts. The level right below the two Supreme Courts consists of fourteen Texas courts of appeals that have been created one by one since the creation of the judiciary system in 1836. Each of these
