They analyzed target audiences on YouTube and through personal experience to understand fans of electronic music are typically males aged 16-26. Their plans were influenced by a similar recent music video. Storyboarding and planning shots was important to envision the video and stay organized during the shoot. While locations were imperfect, teamwork helped get the shots completed.
Schedual planning
The team scheduled in advance to complete their storyboard by October 11th and shoot the night scenes on October 14th at different locations like a funfair and bridge which would take several hours. They then decided to film the daytime scenes on November 6th to allow enough time to confirm availability of the artist and male star between the shooting dates.
Location Research

Grace played the character of Eve in most shots while her teammates Abby and Danielle directed and filmed. The group discussed shots and ensured they captured multiple angles to have options. They set up equipment properly based on past issues and prepared thoroughly. Grace felt they made good progress and can improve by trying new camera skills on future shoots.
Evaluation of Shoot Day

Documentaries use conventions such as archival footage, vox pops, interviews, facts and statistics, reconstructions, stock footage, and music or sound effects to effectively present information to viewers. Media theories associated with these conventions include gatekeeping, where information is selected or rejected for inclusion, and construction of reality, where editing shapes an artificial picture of reality for viewers.
