Kasim Reed served as the 60th mayor of Atlanta, Georgia from 2010 to 2018. During his two terms as mayor, Reed focused on improving Atlanta's infrastructure, economic development, and quality of life initiatives for residents. Some of Reed's major accomplishments included overseeing the construction of the Atlanta Streetcar, helping lure major corporations to relocate to Atlanta to boost the local economy, and starting development on the BeltLine project to convert a historic railroad corridor into a network of parks, trails, and transit. However, Reed's terms were also marked by criticism over his handling of police issues and a federal investigation into his campaign finances.
