Sample Essay Writings
Writing an essay on the topic of "Sample Essay Writings" may seem deceptively simple at first
glance, yet delving into the intricacies of the subject reveals a unique set of challenges. The
difficulty lies not in the scarcity of information but rather in navigating the vast sea of examples
and styles that fall under the umbrella of essay writing.
To start, one must grapple with the diverse array of essay types, each demanding its own set of
rules and conventions. From narrative and descriptive essays to argumentative and expository
pieces, the writer must possess a comprehensive understanding of the nuances that distinguish
one from another. Choosing the appropriate style becomes an initial hurdle, and the challenge
intensifies as the writer aims to maintain coherence and relevance throughout the essay.
Moreover, crafting a compelling introduction that not only captures the reader's attention but also
sets the tone for the entire essay requires finesse. The writer must skillfully weave a narrative or
present a compelling argument, all while adhering to the conventions of the chosen essay type.
Transitions between paragraphs and ideas must be seamless, preventing the essay from becoming
disjointed or confusing.
One of the more formidable challenges lies in the art of conciseness. Balancing the need for
depth and detail with the imperative to keep the essay within a prescribed word limit demands a
careful and judicious approach. The writer must make every word count, avoiding unnecessary
verbosity while ensuring that the essay remains informative and engaging.
Additionally, achieving clarity of expression poses its own set of obstacles. Striking the right
balance between sophisticated language and accessibility is a perpetual tightrope walk. The
writer must convey complex ideas without alienating readers, making every effort to
communicate effectively to a broad audience.
In the realm of sample essay writings, the task also involves selecting exemplars that showcase
various styles, tones, and structures. Analyzing these samples and extracting valuable lessons
requires a discerning eye and a deep appreciation for the art of essay writing.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Sample Essay Writings" is an endeavor that
demands a multifaceted skill set. From mastering diverse essay types to navigating the intricacies
of language and structure, the writer must navigate a complex landscape. However, as with any
challenge, the rewards lie in the growth and development that come from honing one's writing
prowess.

Western Influence In The Film Chilsu And Mansu
After watching Chilsu and Mansu (1988), the first thing that I ve noticed apart from
this film being in color was the economic development that took place in Seoul
compared to the previous films that we have seen. The image of Seoul in this film
was more recognizable to today. I also found this film to be relative modern. The film
main female character Jina worked at Burger King (American establishment) and is a
college student. I think she is the first female character that we ve seen in college and
educated. There was also a lot of Western influence in this film. When Chilsu and Jina
went to the movie, they went to see an American film. When they went to the club,
there was American music playing in the background. Jina takes a contemporary...

affluent class. In the film, Chilsu and Mansu were both working class men in the
painting industry. They would paint buildings and billboards. Unfortunately, their
job wasn t stable and they would have difficulty finding work. Throughout the film,
Chilsu seems to never have any money and Mansu and his living situation was not
the best. I felt that Chilsu was aspiring to be apart of the affluent class. He
essentially was living a double life. When he was with Jina he was an art student
that was going to America to study continue his art studies. He would spend
money that he didn t have on taking Jina to the movies, club, etc. When Chilsu was
with Mansu, he was a painting assistant that never has money. In one scene, Chilsu
needed to go pee while working and he happened to see Jina and her mother
shopping. When they were looking at jewelry, he envisions himself in a suit
introducing himself to Jina s mother. In reality, he didn t go in to the jewelry store
and when a man asks him what he was doing there he just ran off. Towards the end
of the film, Chilsu and Mansu went on top of the billboard to vent at their frustration
about being in the working class. The social realism of this film is worth discussing.
This film highlights the struggles that the working classes had to go through. It
showed the daily struggle on the common men in Korea in the 80 s with no
How Is Loss Used In Mid Term Break
How is Loss Experienced in the poems Mid Term Break and November? In both
the poems November, by Simon Armitage and Mid Term Break, by Seamus Heaney,
the persona is compelled into that position. They both describe loss as a traumatic
experience, which the persona tries to detach themselves from in order to accept the
reality. In November, the persona is burdened with guilt and self blame. Realising
that the situation is inevitable illuminates his fears of ageing and death. Mid Term
Break is an autobiographical poem where the persona (Seamus Heany) maintains a
very formal and distant tone in order to push aside his overwhelming grief. In both
poems, the persona tries to distance themselves from the situation to try and make the

Heaney places the powerful monostich at the end, which intensifies the sombre
mood into a powerful shock to the audience. Comparing a four foot box with a foot
for every year doesn t only tell the audience how brief his brother s life was, but also
highlights Heaney s realisation of this harsh, inescapable horror. By rhyming the
phrase bumper knocked him clear with his age on the monostich links the fragility of
the child to the powerful effect on the audience and family. This reminds the persona
and the audience that the impact isn t only on the child, but also on the
Analysis Of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
The film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind directed by Michel Gondry
follows two ex lovers during their breakup. The protagonist of the movie, Joel
Barish, is a middle aged man living in Long Island that lives a dull life. However,
this all changes as soon as he meets a young woman at a party named Clementine
Kruczynski. Immediately drawn to her colorful personality, clothing, and hair Joel
became engulfed in her, wanting to know all of her interworking s and emotions.
It didn t take long for the two to become romantically involved and begin dating.
The pair were together a while, but they began having frequent altercations and
realized that life may be better without each other. A few weeks after the split Joel
decides that he wanted to get back together with Clementine and visits her place of
work on Valentine s Day. While there, he engages in a conversation with
Clementine but to his surprise she has no recollection of him. Soon after his
encounter with Clementine, Joel learns that his ex girlfriend hired a company to
erase her memory of him. Hurt by the actions of his ex lover, Joel decides to hire
the company to do the same. The rest of the movie then follows the deletion of
Clementine from Joel s memory by revisiting all of their significant moments
together while he is in a sleeplike state. Mid deletion, Joel decides that he has made
a terrible mistake and tries to do everything in his power to prevent wiping the
memories of his beloved. Unfortunately,
National Park Vs Sequoia Park
Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National park share a common border.
Sequoia has over 400,000 acres compared to Kings Canyon s acreage which is over
460,000. The two natural attractions that are the vying for the crowning glory of
Sequoia Park are Mount Whitney and the General Sherman Tree. Mount Whitney is
the highest point above sea level in the United States, and the Sherman tree is the
largest tree found anywhere in the entire world. Kings Canyon is managed jointly
with Sequoia Park, and was established to protect the Sequoia trees that grow in both
parks. But, Kings Canyon boasts of the deepest canyon, which is a perfect
counterpart to mount Whitney. Both of these parks fall within the range of the Sierra
Nevada, and parallel... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The momentum of any seismic activity recorded in the mantle under the Sierra area
was considerably less that recorded in other similar areas. The reason behind this
unexplained difference could easily be due to a thinning or extension of the
lithosphere. The thin or extended thithosphere would cause the sierra to be warmer,
and that would explain this abnormality. Infact there are many more geographical
activities that point to a thinning lithosphere. The main indicator are the topography
itself, along with Bouguer abnormalities. These remain only theories at the moment,
but they are the best guess of those educated within the field. Whatever the reason,
these parks remain a beautiful and interesting part of the American Landscape, and

Effective Classroom Environment Essay
Creating and maintaining effective environments for student learning can be a
highly difficult task for classroom teachers in moderate to severe special education
classrooms. When you have students of various levels of academics, social skills
and behavior needs it is challenging to know where to start and where to begin in
creating a behavior management system. During my time at Brandman we focused
a lot on how to create a positive classroom culture and how to create effective
classroom environments. I had opportunities at Brandman to learn to create
individual behavior plans and how to track student behaviors while targeting
specific behavior and social skills goals. It is my personal belief that students learn
best by having a positive environment where they are able to feel supported,
respected and safe. The demographic of my student population also creates a large
need for my students to have structure and feel safe as they do not always get that
support outside of the classroom. For many our school and classroom is their safe
place where they receive the attention that they need and deserve. Through my classes
at Brandman I learned that establishing clear behavioral expectations, reinforcing
positive behaviors, and creating routines and procedures for structure and safety, you
will then establish a classroom environment where students can reach their highest
potentials and will thrive in a secure safe environment. I always base our classroom
goals from our school motto
The Great Fire Of London
Seldom does one pick up a literary book expecting to discover history. Typically one
envisions a literary work to move the soul, or facilitate a grand adventure of the
mind. Stranger yet would be a student of history delving into a historical document in
anticipation of a soul searching adventure. However, thanks to Samuel Pepyswe have
an un edited, un filtered first hand account of what it was like to be in the midst of
some of the most momentous events in English history. Pepys bore witness to and
recorded almost 10 years of experiences which contained the second Anglo Dutch
war, the Great Fire of London, and what living though the Great Plague was like.
And while these events can be found in many history books, Samuel Pepys diary
brings something to the table that predetermined, agreed upon history can teach us
what it was like to be there and live through them in great detail. Samuel Pepys
takes the reader on a grand adventure through some of the most important events in
English history and conveys what it was really like to be there. So who was Samuel
Pepys, and what is this magical literary work? In order to understand how this
adventure unfolds, it is essential to understand the author and the circumstances that
result in such a pure experience. Samuel Pepys was the son of a tailor, but rose to the
rank of Secretary of the most powerful Navy on the planet at that time in history.
During his lifetime, he cavorted London, experiencing her majesty, music,
Human Distribution Patterns Of Acacia Saligna
Abstract
Distribution patterns of Acacia saligna are quite diverse in South Africa especially
taking under consideration that they do not have immediate threats that inhibit their
spread. However, this species occurs in very different environmental gradients, as it
can occur from a wet habitat/area to a bare rock surface that is a very dry habitat.
Due to such observations for the distribution of this species a question is imposed in
this paper as to how do traits vary along environmental gradients? Two phenotypic
traits/characteristics are investigated, Specific Leaf Area (SLA) and wood density.
SLA was calculated by adding the total sum of all the leaf area per individual and
dividing that with the total sum of all the leaf dry mass per individual. SLA = Total
leaf area/ Dry leaf mass, SLA unit g/cmВІ. The highest value for SLA is at the dry
site, intermediate in wet site and lowest in the ultra dry site. The wood density for
branch and stem samples was calculated using the latest dry mass value/ volume.
Wood density unit measure is g/cmВі. The stem wood density was highest at the ultra
dry site, followed by wet site and then the dry site. Branch wood density was highest
at the dry site, intermediate at ultra dry site and lowest at the wet site.
Introduction
Acacia saligna is a small tree endemic to the Swan Coastal plain in the Mediterranean
climate region of south west Australia and is widely naturalized in Mediterranean
type ecosystems throughout the world (Tozer and
Colonial Life Vs. Present Day Life
Colonial life vs present day life Colonial life was very much unlike our lives today.
During colonial life philosophies and what people did were very different from
today. Some of which they did has had influence on our own daily lives. This meant
the colonies had influence and taught us lessons on the daily life for women, daily
life of children, slavery/racism and government. The role of women has changed
immensely since colonial times. A woman during colonial times had to give all
her money and property to her husband after their marriage. Today that is not what
women have to do when they are married. In addition, women had to do chores
around the house, some of the jobs would have been teach their daughters, mend
and make clothes, take care of the chickens and clean the house. In the present day
they can do whatever they want for a job. Women had no voting rights or position
in public life, even though recently we had a women run for president. This means
a lot has changed in women s rights and daily life. Women now have a more
important role in daily life and in public life. In the daily life of children, they had
many things to do. The boys would often work in the fields with their fathers,
while girls worked in the house with their mothers. For entertainment they would
play games or read books, while today we for entertainment we use our phones,
computers, T.V and movies. They would also be an apprentice to learn valuable
skills and trades so that they could use them when they were of working age and
could have a job of their own to earn money. While today children will not usually
be an apprentice because we have a better education from school on skills we need.
In colonial times, children often were not able to get an education unless they
were wealthy. All children today have access to school and an education, which is
very different from colonial times. For those reasons, childhood has changed a lot
since colonial times. . Slavery was very important to the success of the colonies.
The first slave boat landed in Jamestown in 1620, it brought slaves from interior
Africa who would be forced to do work with no pay. The way slaves got to the
colonies was through triangular trade and middle
Persuasive Essay Against Gun Control
A law that would outlaw guns would be a more of a disadvantage to the law abiding
citizens than it would be to the criminals. If a law like that would be enacted, the
criminals would not stop carrying guns but the pleasant citizens of the United States
would. Currently, there is three major laws that prohibit specific firearms. The
National Firearms Actof 1934 restricts citizens from possessing automatic weapons,
hand grenades and other powerful arms. There is another federal law, The Gun
Control Act of 1968, which prohibits mail order sales of weapons, and requires
anyone in the gun selling business to be licensed. Finally the third is the Brady
Handgun Violence Prevention Act of 1993 which requires dealers to perform
background checks.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to jacob Davidson for Time magazine, For one, we need to remember
that we ve had a remarkable decrease in the U.S since early 1990 s, even though the
number of firearms has increased by about 10 million every year (Davidson). For
decades, things have been impressively outstanding than it was before 1990. Even
though there had been an increase in firearms, almost 10 million a year, gun crime
has not been much of an issue, in that it has decreased. In contrast, the Second
Amendment was drafted in order to protect the militias to own and use firearms,
not the citizens. According to an article about gun control, all law articles on their
Second Amendment from 1888 to 1959 stated that an individual right was not
guaranteed (Should More). But the Second Amendment was created in order to
protect all able bodied men the right to own guns so they could have the choice of
joining the militia. A pro con article about gun control states, According to the
United States Code, a militia is composed of all able bodied males at least 17 years
of age.... (Should More). All able bodied individuals have the right to own guns with
intention to become law abiding citizens of the United States. As stated in the
Second Amendment, all able bodied men that is eligible for service in the militia, is
allowed to own a firearm. If more gun control laws were enacted then, it would
Stereotypes In The Twilight Saga
The Twilight Saga is a series of five romance fantasy films from four novels by
American author Stephenie Meyer. In the twilight saga portrays the stereotype of
women being controlled by a vampire until she falls in love with him, not many
people would see it because the movie is based on a romantic lovestory. Bella s low
self esteem makes it easy for Edward to show he s the dominant one in the
relationship. He isolates her from her familyand defends her from other vampires.
Throughout all the movies of twilightEdward is practically controlling Bella with
everything she does. For example, in one of the scenes of the Twilight saga: Eclipse,
Edward removes the engine from Bella s car because she wants to go visit her friend

Max Roach: His Influence On Drumming
Zach Mondlick
10/5 11/16/2014
Max Roach, a percussion virtuoso capable of playing at the most brutal tempos with
subtlety as well as power, is usually considered one of the most important drummers
in history. He worked with a great deal of the greatest jazz musicians, including
Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Coleman Hawkins, Dizzy Gillespie,
Charles Mingus, Sonny Rollins and Clifford Brown. His death at 83 was a step
toward the end of the bebop jazz world s most influential generation. Few remain
amongst the giants who were jamming alongside Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie
while they built the harmonically dense, rhythmically powerful post WWII music,
dubbed bebop. A leader of this bebop... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eight years later, the two organized a so called rebel festival in Newport, R.I., to
protest the Newport Jazz Festival s treatment of performers. That same year,
Roach collaborated with the lyricist Oscar Brown Jr. on We Insist! Freedom Now
Suite, which played variations on the theme of black people s struggle for equality
in the United States and Africa. The album, which featured vocals by Abbey
Lincoln ( Roach s frequent collaborator and, from 1962 to 1970, his wife), received
mixed reviews: many critics praised its ambition, but some attacked it as overly
polemical. Roach was undeterred. I will never again play anything that does not
have social significance, he told Down Beat magazine after the album s release. We
American jazz musicians of African descent have proved beyond all doubt that we
re master musicians of our instruments. Now what we have to do is employ our skill

Participant Observation In Sociological Research
The two different methods that can be used in observation is with participant
observation and visual sociology. The participant observation is an observation of
people being studied. This method is not often successful, sociologists are needed
to participate in the participant s daily life that is being observed. The people that
will help with this method will be people in their social group ( family, friends,
professors, coworkers etc.) This method is needed for the sociologists be objective
observers and be the actual participants in the social of their study. The observers
record their observations in notes, which will be useful for examination of the study.
In the visual sociology, the techniques that are being used here are photography and
videotape. These techniques are methods for interviewing.

this surveys are used in market research, election polling, opinion polling, television
ratings. This method is the most used in sociological surveys. The second method is

about people they are researching. The third method is opinion polls, this method has
marketing polls that help corporations to make decisions about their products. The
fourth method is sampling error , this is part of the opinions palls. This important

Leadership And President Of Diversified Funding
When trying to find the meaning of a word, people turn to the dictionary; in the case
of leadership, Webster Dictionary defines it as, the power or ability to lead other
people (Merriam Webster). Yet, this definition is not sufficient. Leadership embodies
varying degrees of meaning as well as different types of leaders, including successful
and unsuccessful ones. Leadershipand leader can be used interchangeably in this
sense, as a leader represents all that leadership seeks to obtain. Representatives
from various companies define leadership in differing ways. Mark Little, the
founder and president of Diversified Funding, states A leader is someone [who]
leads by example and has the integrity to do the right thing even when it is not
popular. A good leader has positive influence over others, inspiring them to become
a better person and example for others to model their life against, as well
(Helmrich). This definition of a leader is key in understanding the actions of
various successful leaders such as Lincoln and Civil Rights lawyers such as Charles
Hamilton Houston and Jack Greenberg in regard to the Brown v. Board of
Education case. In regard to these to mean and other Civil Rights lawyers such as
Thurgood Marshall, Pauli Murray, and Eleanor Holmes Norton, Andrea Walker
Leidy, owner of Walker Publicity Consulting, is precise in saying,
Leadership is the ability to see a problem and be the solution. So many people are
willing to talk about problems or can even
Producing Dat Designing Samples
Producing Data : в—Џ Designing Samples : To design a sample one is looking into
a population which is defined as the entire group of individuals that we are using to
gather information from. Within this population we are looking for a sample, which
is the random information we gather to observe from the population. The population
is chosen based on what information we are trying to gather, you can gather
information from populations by using a census or sampling methods. When
sampling you are studying part of a population to gather information about it as a
whole, while a census makes effort to get information from every individual in the
population. There are various ways to create a sample, both right and wrong, an
example of a wrong way... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Inference : в—Џ Estimating Confidence : When estimating the accuracy within the
guess of your experiment, you do so by using your margin of error which is
showing how accurate you believe your guess is. A confidence interval equals to
your estimate plus or minus your margin of error. в—Џ Inference for Regression :
Statistical inference can bring us to conclusions about a population through the
looking of sample date and probability to show us how reliable our inferences are.
Our confidence interval will more times than not tell us what would occur if specific
intervals were to occur, the larger the confidence interval the more likely the estimate
is to be true. While a determined P value shows us how unlikely the observed
outcome is. With these assumptions we can come to a null hypothesis which states
that there is no significant difference Probability: в—Џ Probability Models : There
are various ways of determining probability outcomes by usually, listing your
possible outcomes and determining your probability of each outcome. A probability
model is a description of a random phenomenon that is made up of two parts. One
probability model is through sample space S of a random phenomenon is a set

Executive Of Keiser University Financial Aid Office
Currently the Director of Keiser University financial aid office is getting ready to
accept a regional position. This change will occur in a few months, however they
are getting the office ready for the upcoming changes slowly in order to have a
smooth transition. The office director has been working there for 14 years and a lot
of the officeregulations and rules were molded to her standards. The past few
months a couple of directors from other universities has been interviewing for the
job. However none were chosen for the position, due to their leadership styles.
These leaders style of management were not at all what the office is accustomed to
so therefore a more similar leadership style to the one that was there before for 14
years is more appropriate for the environment, the nature of the job and the workers
that has been working there for years.
The potential directors that were interviewed were persistent with wanting to control
everything that s going on in the office and making sure that they are over every
decision that are being made. They want to be the go to person for everything that is
happening in the office. They were treating it like a dictatorship rather then a
peaceful environment where everyone can work at their own pace as long as they
accomplish deadlines.
The person that the office has been accustomed to is someone that gives the workers
room to use their good judgment when making decisions. The prior leader allows

Algeria After Independence Essay
After independence (1962 1999)
The Evian Accords which were signed in 1962 giving Algeria immediate
independence and French aid to help reconstruct the country. The French Sahara with
its oil resources was also handed over to Algeria. In return the FLN guaranteed
protection and civil rights for the French Algerians choosing to remain in the country,
and the option of choosing either French or Algerian nationality after three years.
Eight years of war had shattered Algeria. There had been more than one million
Algerian casualties and nearly two million Algerians had lost their homes. For over a

The country s oil resources were developed and an industrial sector was established.
Education and literacy became a focus of concentration and agricultural land reform
continued. In the process the Boumedienne government developed a socialist
political system which was codified in a constitution in 1976. Under the new
constitution Boumedienne was elected president of Algeria and ruled until his death.
However, for all Algeria s accomplishments during this period, imposing authoritarian
one party socialism on a traditional Islamic country was considered a mistake.
When Boumedienne s chosen successor, Colonel Chadli Benjedid, was elected
president of Algeria he began to relax the government s authoritarian practices and
made a genuine attempt to solve some of the country s problems. Benjedid also
pardoned Ahmed Ben Bella in 1980 and released him from house arrest. However, for
all his liberal tendencies, Benjedid was a product of the FLN military elite and was re
elected in 1984 because he ran unopposed.
With the fall of oil prices and the resurgence of Islam, the government s credibility
fell dramatically. The manifest failure of world socialism and the government s
failure to solve the country s increasing social and economic problems, encouraged
more and more Algerians to

Superheroes Psychology
The compilation of various essays in The Psychology of Superheroes by Robin S.
Rosenberg provides an interesting psychological look at comic book world
characters in the context of the contemporary and ever growing success of the
superhero genre in film and television. Themes the book covers are super characters
and their positive attributes, group dynamics, environmental factors, introspection,
gender roles, stress, and mental illness, just to name a few. The book does not have
any original characters of its own, rather picking out noteworthy figures from
galleries of superheroes and their rogues. Early on, it is concluded that superheroes
have many positive facets that readers wish to underscore; however, the novel

This movie deconstructed and celebrated the superhero genre in a mature but fun
way. However, under the layers of this homage to the super humans, I did not
realize the extent of sex and gender identity that can be analyzed through the
characters models. The Incredibles reinforces the skewed body proportions that
can be seen in superhero comics. Artist Rob Liefeld is infamous for his over
exaggerated male bodies bulging with muscles and female bodies with
unbelievably tiny waists. The Incredibles, surprisingly, has more realistic body
proportions for Mr. Incredible, but Mrs. Incredible is a caricature of the female
body shape. However, behaviorally, Mr. Incredible and Mrs. Incredible contain
characteristics that are typically considered stereotypical male behavior. The
disconnect between a super woman s body type and personality demonstrates an
embodiment of the ideal feminine physique and ideal masculin attributes that
allow her not only to be adored as a woman, but also respected and honored like a
man (217). It bothers me that the female idealized body, small waists and larger
bust, has no practical purpose for superhero fighting, yet persists in the superhero
genre. Though The Incredibles is my favorite Pixar film, the book gave me a new
perspective on it and the female body in the superhero media. I hope as time goes on,
the genre can

Influence of Indian Warfare on the Development of the United States Army
Throughout history, when two or more armed groups oppose one another in battle,
certain tactics are transferred from one to the other. These tactics are usually
perceived by either group as superior to their own. This process of transferring tactics
often occurs over a length of time, and usually encompass a number of conflicts
between the groups. This is a natural phenomenon for armed forces that mimics the
Darwinian Theory of Evolution; the strongest survive, the weak die. For a group to
become the strongest in armed conflict, it must employ superior tactics and doctrine
over its enemy. One method that an armed force uses to become stronger is to adapt

The militia was strictly a local institution to a colony s townships or counties. They
consisted of males usually between the age of sixteen and sixty, who were obliged
to keep weapons in their homes and be prepared to be called in the event of Indian
attack. Periodically throughout the year, the militias were called to train at their local
county or town seat (Bell 28). Although the local militia trained together, they rarely
fought together. Whenever a colony was threatened, the government of the colony
directed the militia commander of the locality that was threatened to assemble his
men. This commander would then muster the most able of his militia, usually the
youngest, in the number he thought he would need. This was also similar to the
process used to form a militia for an expedition into Indian country. Upon completion
of the defense of the colony or the expedition, the men would immediately disband
and return to their homes (Bell 29).
In the early days of the militias, though the value of their training was minimal in
respect to that of their contemporary European professionals, the militiamen were
competent Indian fighters. This was due in part to the nature of frontier life. Males
were required to develop skill in the use of firearms from an early age, as hunting was
the primary source of food in

parents can often be linked to conscientious and agreeable young adult children

The De Beers Company is one of the wealthiest companies in the world. De Beers
leads and dominates the diamond industry in diamond mining, diamond trading, and
industrial diamond manufacturing. In 1871 a South African man named Cecil Rhodes
created De Beers. Rhodes rented water pumps to miners then invested his profits by
buying up small mining operations. In 2011 the De Beers Group sold their
remaining stake to Anglo American for $5.1 billion in cash. (DeMarco, 2011).
Before the sale the diamond company was owned by the Oppenheimer family. Now

These stockholders do a great job planning on how to keep the company making
big profits. This gives these stockholders lots of control. De Beers has done a great
job expanding their markets and making sure those places have high demand for
their product. In an article on Telegraph.co.uk, Josephine Moulds states De Beer s
sales in the Middle East, India and Asia drove pre tax profits up 74% to $1 billion in
the first half (Moulds, 2011).
The governments in the diamond industry have a lot of control what the companies
can do. When mining diamonds many of land and resources are used. Governments
have to take the interest of their people and also take into account what impact the
diamond industry has on the local environment. In the country of Angola diamond
mining has had a huge impact. Brilliantearth.com states irresponsible diamond
mining has caused soil erosion, led to deforestation, and forced local populations to
relocate (Brilliant Earth, n.d.). Governments also have to regulate labor laws for their
country. In some countries diamonds are mined by small children in unsafe
conditions. These responsibilities fall under the local government to protect the land
from these mining companies. Local governments can write laws and regulations
require diamond mining companies to take extra precautions in order to operate.
This could require the diamond company to decide is it worth it to follow these
regulations or find a cheaper place to mind
Dispositional Optimism Research Paper
Utilizing Dispositional Optimism Life is tough. Life forces humans to endure in a
universe that may be completely random and nothing in it may hold any meaning
aside from the arbitrary value that I attribute. Moreover, if nothing means anything in
life, then there is no true reason in living. We are all just postponing the inevitable
great equalizer we call death. Why not just skip the hardship, pain, and suffering that
exists in this world and get straight to a place where we cannot feel its horrors
anymore? When thinking thoughts such as these, I expect to find that such a
negative, pessimistic disposition might not yield beneficial results. Conversely, one
might infer that an host weilding an optimistic disposition will have a greater... Show

Five year old Danny is in kindergarten. It is playtime and he hops from chair to
chair, swinging his arms and legs restlessly, and then begins to fiddle with the light
switches, turning the lights on and off again to everyone s annoyance all the while
talking nonstop. When his teacher encourages him to join a group of other children
busy in the playroom, Danny interrupts a game that was already in progress and
takes over, causing the other children to complain of his bossiness and drift away to
other activities. Even when Danny has the toys to himself, he fidgets aimlessly with
them and seems unable to entertain himself quietly. To many, this may seem like a

It is an unrealistic expectation of a person with ADD. What is normal is that they
will be inconsistent. Typically, they have problems with following through on
instructions, paying attention appropriately to what they need to attend to, seem not
to listen, be disorganized, have poor handwriting, miss details, have trouble starting
tasks or with tasks that require planning or long term effort, appear to be easily
distracted, or forgetful. In addition, some people with ADD can be fidgety, verbally
impulsive, unable to wait their turn, and act on impulse regardless of consequences.
However, it is important to remember not all people with ADD have all of these
difficulties, or all of the time.
Due to the fact that society has traditionally thought of a person with ADD as being
hyper, many children who have ADD with no hyperactivity are not being identified or
treated. Individuals with ADD without hyperactivity are sometimes thought of as
daydreamers or absent minded professors. The non hyperactive children with ADD
most often seem to be girls (though girls can have ADD with hyperactivity, and boys
can have ADD without hyperactivity). Additionally, because of the ability of an
individual with ADD to over focus, or hyper focus on something that is of great
interest or highly stimulating, many untrained observers assume that this ability to
concentrate negates the
How It Will End By Duhamel Summary
Relationships, Comparisons, Assumptions, and What Lies Beneath As time passes in
a relationship, it is inevitable that confrontations are bound to occur. Whether small
disagreements created from minor issues, to mediocre arguments based on daily
matters, to serious incidents that can reflect relationship taboos, it is a couple s
perception and understanding of each other that can strengthen or weaken their
union. The poem How It Will End by Denise Duhamel portrays two couples involved
in similar matters as those previously described. One couple is having, what appears
to be, an argumentat the beach and the second couple is watching them from afar, as
they re on a boardwalk. As the poem progresses, the second couple s assumptions of

In Duhamel s poem, this is clearly represented. One couple appears to be far from
having a happy day at the beach; they re arguing, the female s body language reveals
a need for acceptance, distance, and rejection. The second couple s belief of what is
stirring and their relationship comparison based on these thoughts, solidifies the
underlying truth that marriage is not easy. Lines 20 to 21: I start to coach the girl
to leave her no good lifeguard, but my husband predicts he ll never leave, are
depicting the couple s mirroring on what they would actually do in this situation.
The relationship judgement concept continues in lines 23 through 25 with That s
your problem you think every fight is funny. You never take her seriously, and he
says, You never even give a guy a chance and you re always nagging where a
compromise issue is portrayed this time, obviously on both couples. Relationships
require you to extend yourself for the sake of the other, that is collectively
understanding each other s needs, accept mistakes, and practice forgiveness.Should
relationships be compared to others? Is the concept of assumption safe for a
union? Is proof necessary for a couple to be happy? Nothing good ever comes of
comparing your relationship to someone else s. It is better to acknowledge that each
bond is unique and has its strengths and weaknesses. One of the most important
reasons not to compare relationships is that you re not seeing the full picture.
Furthermore, in the last two lines of the poem: She has her arms around his neck and
is crying into his shoulder, He whisks her up into his hut. We look around, but no one
is watching us it confirms that the second couple has issues lying deep beneath their
own. Once you begin comparing relationships, you ll probably start focusing on the

The Importance Of Football In High School
Sports is not just a hobby that we do in our free time, it is something that we are
passionate about and love doing. There will be times where we all have to take
risks to be playing a specific sport, like football. Many teens have had head injuries
due to head to head contact. There has been a lot of issues bringing up this topic
and very contradicting. It has been news reporters have been wanting to know if
young teens should risk their bodies to get a brutal head damage. Should football
not be played in high school? I think teens should play the sport. Before anyone
says that I think that teens should become a part of something dangerous, I do not
think people think what sports actually mean. Playing any sport, no matter if it is
tennis or water polo, they all give people a good exercise, making your body sweat
and leaving you smelly. There are many teens who do not to even go outside for a
walk or for a jog. Football is a really physical sport that involves a lot of movement.
If teens would not exercise, they just wouldn t like to do anything at all, spending a
lot of time inside and not getting the exercise that they need. Football is a sport that
is played and practice during the summer, including all that equipment that they
have to carry with them in every step that they make in the field. Football is a good
way to make teens, who are pretty heavy for their age or just someone who does not
have no motive to do anything, to start off playing a sport and doing

Animal Assisted Therapy and Developmental Disorders in Minors Animal Assisted
Therapy also known as animal assisted therapy has been formally introduced to the
world in the last ten years or so. Although animals have always been a place of
comfort for a lot of people, scientists just began to realize the impact animals have on
society. The world has begun to experiment with what animals can do to benefit
human health. The most common type of animal assisted therapy is equine assisted
therapy. Equines are horses. Equine assisted therapy s impact on minors who have
mental health issues have led to a successful new type of therapy that includes
multiple benefits. Equine assisted therapy has worked well in is treating adolescents
and children how to communicate and connect with others. Two big issues that
animal assisted therapy has been known to help is Autism and kids with attachment
and social problems. Equine assisted therapy (EAT) started before the 1960 s. Equine
assisted therapy is most known for the chance to help physically disabled people
recover movement in their limbs. Another big role equine assisted therapy contributes
to therapy is throughout helping kids with autism or any other psychological
condition. Specifically, people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) benefit the most
from it. Throughout equine assisted therapy, autistic children can begin to trust,

Persuasive Essay On Commercialism In Sport
When we think of sport, we think of fair play, competition, strength and
determination. Australians are extremely passionate about their sport and do not hide
this fact. They are drawn in by the need to win and the atmosphere sport prevails,
influencing the way sport is viewed on the world of commercialism. Majority of
Australians would sit down to watch at least one significant sporting event every year.
Whether this be through the sportof rugby, tennis, cricket or the Olympics,
Australians are attracted to seeing their team or country perform to the best of their
ability. We must discuss the need to watch these events and the organisations need to
feed commercialism and promotion through the context of sport, to better their own
needs. We look to address why sport has become dominated by commercialism and if

if you re lucky it is available 24 hours a day on paid television. Athletes are able to
make a career out of sport and provide entertainment for a number of different
reasons. However, this does not come without a number of negatives. A dominating
influence on commercialism in sport is the influence of doping. The pressure to
succeed and stay at a level where sponsorship is everything, athletes choose to
enhance their own performance by taking banned substances. Another negative effect
on media in sports shows the demanding need for gambling. Australians are choosing
to watch a particular sport due to the need to win money or create more excitement
when enjoying a game. All major sporting industries have ties with betting agencies.
They are allowed to promote their advertisements by paying big dollars and

The Relationship between the Strategy of Knowledge Folders and Study Skills

seniors in a high school science academy where they are expected to be prepared for

they could be successful in college or the workplace. I wanted the students to

I wanted to change the behavior of the students by providing strategies for improving
the way they completed their work and the way they studied. I decided to modify one
of Rogers Peak Learning Systems assessment strategies, the Knowledge Wall, into
Knowledge Folders. These were folders in which the students placed all their class
work and homework and could access during a timed assessment. I hoped that the
Knowledge Folders would help with the students study skills of free writing and
emphasize quality homework and class work. If the students had written thoroughly
about the concept, and had much detail in their class work and homework, then they
were able to answer the questions on the assessment with greater clarity. This could
show them the relationship between their work and the assessment questions during
the course of the assessment period. Explicitly teaching the use of this strategy could
increase the learner s motivation and lead to increased achievement for doing quality
class work and homework. This led to my action research question of: What is the
relationship between the assessment strategy of Knowledge Folders and improved
study skills as measured by student motivation and academic performance?
Methodology I decided to implement the strategy of Knowledge Folders during
assessments in hopes of the students improving their metacognition and motivation.

Taking a Look at Food Allergies
Food, food is something that we as human beings live off of. But not everybody is
as fortunate as others, nowadays food allergies occur in 1 out of every 13 children.
This indicates fifteen plus million people have food allergies. This epidemic poses
a threat to many citizens that live with food allergies because of the incorrect
labeling, distribution and safety of food products. The research provided is to
show one, what food allergies are and how they affect daily life of those who live
with food allergies. Food allergies are extremely important and educating people
about food allergies will hopefully quick start the progress to find a cure.
Food allergies have been reported but not looked into until 1976, when the public
became aware of the immune response to certain foods. The data collected showed
that certain food s caused reactions in people, which provoked further research on
such topics. Food allergy awareness came about in 1976 through newspapers and
novels, because of reported civilians dying from ingesting food that they were
allergic too. A huge propaganda movement took place worldwide to show the
dangers of food allergies but was shortly subsided. The first Epi Pen was launched
and registered in the United States in 1980; this was an amazing new start because
every three minutes, a food allergy reaction sends someone to the emergency
department ( Food Allergy Facts and Statistics FAAN ).

Movement. The idea of eugenics was eventually picked up by Germany, China,
Peru, India and Bangladesh. The movement is still in effect till this day; however, it
is not as prevalent as it once was. The beginning of the Eugenics Movement all
started at Cold Spring Harbor, New York. The United States coined the term Eugenics
from Great Britain in the early 1900s. In the year 1910, a man by the name of
Charles B. Davenport founded the Eugenics Records Office (ERO). The funds for

Why We Should Eat Pork
It seems clear that, there are various different reasons why we consume pork and
many people would feel that all these reasons are enough to justify and explain its
consumption. This could be down to the nutritional value of the meat, the idea that if
we didn t eat pigs then they wouldn t exist in the first place and the philosophical
views on the consumption of meat in the first place. However, my research has also
shown that there are many reasons why people feel we should not eat pork. The next

the reasons for this view.

The researchers also found that it s possible to train pigs and teach them different
talents, such as jumping hoops, bowing and playing video games as well as being
able to learn routines quickly. Many other scientists have also shown that pigs are
highly intelligent, for example , We have shown that pigs share a number of
cognitive capacities with other highly intelligent species such as dogs, chimpanzees,
elephants, dolphins, and even humans, said neuroscientist Lori Marino of Emory
University . It was also discovered that pigs can understand basic symbolic language
and learn multiple signs for actions as well as placing coloured pig shaped blocks in
the correct coloured holes on a wooden board. They found that the pig can do this
using its mouth and on its own. The Discovery News has also reported that, pigs have
complex social networks, with them often learning from one another and cooperating
together.
Lastly, researchers in the Netherlands carried out an experiment to understand the
behaviours of pigs in more depth. The experiment went as follows: pigs were

expect either happiness or distress. This was done by playing them music and either
rewarding them with a treat such as chocolate raisins, or putting them in a stressful
situation, such as keeping them in isolation in a small pen. After that, untrained pigs

Why The Economy Of Newfoundland Is Failing
The economy of Newfoundland is failing. We are all grown, responsible adults, and
it s time we acknowledged it. Since the 1960s, Newfoundland has dealt with
economic hardship because of declining fish stocks and varying world demand for
many of our products. Fishing, pulp and paper manufacturing, and iron ore mining
remain major activities. Though they bring in some money, they generally do not

The economy of Newfoundland and Labrador is heavily dependent on natural
resources. That s no secret. Though, our resources are slowly swimming away. Quite
literally. Fish are swimming away and northwards. And that s our concern! As the

my past for an early encounter with HI and HIT. A physician I was shadowing
about a year ago, Dr. Zamir, attempted to explain the system he used that contained
his patient s electronic health records (EHRs). My limited understanding of the
system he was using at the moment was analogous to my grandparent s
understanding of a cellphone. Little did I know, that Dr. Zamir guiding me through

Ecological Footprint Quiz Analysis

average of 5 earths. While I know that my life style is not sustainable, it is very
easy to lose track of just how unsustainable the average American life is. According
to the pie chart breakdown, 48% of my ecologic impact is in services area. In
further researching information about this, I found that these services are not
variable in the calculator; everyone taking the quiz has a portion of their nation s
services footprint simply due to living in that country. As is described on the website,
service areas include (but are not limited to) health care, entertainment, restaurants,
real estate, legal services, government and the military (Global Footprint Calculator,

of are included in my footprint simply because I live in the United States. I suppose
that one way I can lower my ecological footprint is simply by moving to a different

Japanese Gender Inequality
About the women discrimination or gender gap, I think Japan has a longest history
that women were discriminated by men. To improve those gender gap, let s look at
Japan s FACT as a BAD EXAMPLE . They strengthened the thoughts of women
discrimination in historical era of samurai. After that, they didn t accept any
Gentlemen s behavior coming from Western countries, so that it becomes a huge
part of the culture that Japanese men look down on women. In 20 s century, I think
most of Japanese men and even Japanese women thought that husband going out for
work and his wife stay at home, do the house work, and seeing their children is
quite an ordinary thing. This thought is what we call women discrimination and we
have to change it. According to the World Economic Forum s Global Gender Gap
Report in 2012, Japan ranked 101 out of 135 ranked countries. That means there are
100 countries that were determined to have fewer gender based disparities than
Japan. Now, this score is based on four factors: economic participation and
opportunity (which is essentially Japanese women in the workplace), educational
attainment, health and survival, and political empowerment. Japan does really well
in educational attainment and health and survival. The scores that hurt Japan the
most are the ones related to women in the work place. It s well known that Japanese
women don t have the same job opportunities as men in Japan. The number one

A Reflection On Classroom Management In Schools
Part II: Reflection 1 Module 2 Classroom Management In many classrooms,
especially from schools serving low socio economic communities, teachers spend
considerable part of their class time and energy to deal with behaviour related
issues. Behaviour needs to be dealt with appropriately, before and after its
occurrence. It is always preferable to prevent behaviour from occurring, to applying
strategies to deal with an already occurred behaviour. Prevention can minimise, if
it cannot eliminate. A rich assortment of approaches to apply prevention are widely
published that are referred in the remaining paragraphs many of which are
underpinned by teachers skills and appropriately prepared lessons. Supportive
classrooms are characterised by student engagement on academic tasks and respect
for the contributions of all students irrespective of their ability (Fields, 2006).
Students will be motivated to behave appropriately when discipline is based on
mutual respect, so students should be actively involved in the development of their
classroom s Code of Conduct . As Rogers (2008) recommends, teacher should lead
the discussions to set classroom rules based around: (a) the key rights to respect of
person, property, place, space, feelings; (b) the right to learn without undue, unfair

regulate their own

time job after college. In my role, we assist student s enrolling in courses and help
plan how to fund their education. This job can be very satisfying yet frustrating at
the same time. I feel that it is a great learning environment and overall, employee
satisfaction is high. I feel that my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

submit documents. Although it was necessary for students to send in these
documents, many of them had questions. There was not adequate phone coverage to
be able to assist all students who had received an e mail. Students become frustrated
that they have to sit on hold for thirty minutes while waiting for an advisor and once
connected to the advisor they may not receive as detailed information as they would
prefer. In addition, advisors become frustrated with management that they were not
informed of the messages that were relayed to students. Things happen in
organizations because people working individually and in groups make them happen;
people make the difference (Schermerhorn). This can be both positive and negative.
The lack of communication happens because people neglect to put in the work to
make a difference and improve communication. In addition, the lack of motivation
from disgruntled employees causes lack of work as well. However, if these
problems were resolved and increase satisfaction among employees it could create
ambition for employees to make difference in how they perform their duties as well.
I feel that there are improvements that can be made that can rectify the situation the
Student Finance department is currently in. I feel that one of the most important
changes needs to be in communication. The way that we

From narrative and descriptive essays to argumentative and expository pieces, the writer must possess a comprehensive understanding of the nuances that distinguish one from another. Balancing the need for depth and detail with the imperative to keep the essay within a prescribed word limit demands a careful and judicious approach. The writer must make every word count, avoiding unnecessary verbosity while ensuring that the essay remains informative and engaging. Additionally, achieving clarity of expression poses its own set of obstacles. Striking the right balance between sophisticated language and accessibility is a perpetual tightrope walk. The writer must convey complex ideas without alienating readers, making every effort to communicate effectively to a broad audience. Western Influence In The Film Chilsu And Mansu After watching Chilsu and Mansu (1988), the first thing that I ve noticed apart from this film being in color was the economic development that took place in Seoul compared to the previous films that we have seen. The image of Seoul in this film was more recognizable to today. I also found this film to be relative modern. In reality, he didn t go in to the jewelry store and when a man asks him what he was doing there he just ran off. Towards the end of the film, Chilsu and Mansu went on top of the billboard to vent at their frustration about being in the working class. The social realism of this film is worth discussing. Effective Classroom Environment Essay Creating and maintaining effective environments for student learning can be a highly difficult task for classroom teachers in moderate to severe special education classrooms. When you have students of various levels of academics, social skills and behavior needs it is challenging to know where to start and where to begin in creating a behavior management system. During my time at Brandman we focused a lot on how to create a positive classroom culture and how to create effective classroom environments. I had opportunities at Brandman to learn to create individual behavior plans and how to track student behaviors while targeting specific behavior and social skills goals. It is my personal belief that students learn best by having a positive environment where they are able to feel supported, respected and safe. The demographic of my student population also creates a large need for my students to have structure and feel safe as they do not always get that support outside of the classroom. For many our school and classroom is their safe place where they receive the attention that they need and deserve. Through my classes at Brandman I learned that establishing clear behavioral expectations, reinforcing positive behaviors, and creating routines and procedures for structure and safety, you will then establish a classroom environment where students can reach their highest potentials and will thrive in a secure safe environment. I always base our classroom goals from our school motto

Human Distribution Patterns Of Acacia Saligna Abstract Distribution patterns of Acacia saligna are quite diverse in South Africa especially taking under consideration that they do not have immediate threats that inhibit their spread. However, this species occurs in very different environmental gradients, as it can occur from a wet habitat/area to a bare rock surface that is a very dry habitat. Due to such observations for the distribution of this species a question is imposed in this paper as to how do traits vary along environmental gradients? Two phenotypic traits/characteristics are investigated, Specific Leaf Area (SLA) and wood density. SLA was calculated by adding the total sum of all the leaf area per individual and dividing that with the total sum of all the leaf dry mass per individual. SLA = Total leaf area/ Dry leaf mass, SLA unit g/cmВІ. The highest value for SLA is at the dry site, intermediate in wet site and lowest in the ultra dry site. The wood density for branch and stem samples was calculated using the latest dry mass value/ volume. Wood density unit measure is g/cmВі. The stem wood density was highest at the ultra dry site, followed by wet site and then the dry site. Branch wood density was highest at the dry site, intermediate at ultra dry site and lowest at the wet site. Introduction Acacia saligna is a small tree endemic to the Swan Coastal plain in the Mediterranean climate region of south west Australia and is widely naturalized in Mediterranean type ecosystems throughout the world (Tozer and

During colonial life philosophies and what people did were very different from today. Some of which they did has had influence on our own daily lives. This meant the colonies had influence and taught us lessons on the daily life for women, daily life of children, slavery/racism and government. The role of women has changed immensely since colonial times. A woman during colonial times had to give all her money and property to her husband after their marriage. Today that is not what women have to do when they are married. In addition, women had to do chores around the house, some of the jobs would have been teach their daughters, mend and make clothes, take care of the chickens and clean the house. In the present day they can do whatever they want for a job. Women had no voting rights or position in public life, even though recently we had a women run for president. This means a lot has changed in women s rights and daily life. Women now have a more important role in daily life and in public life. In the daily life of children, they had many things to do. The boys would often work in the fields with their fathers, while girls worked in the house with their mothers. For entertainment they would play games or read books, while today we for entertainment we use our phones, computers, T.V and movies. They would also be an apprentice to learn valuable skills and trades so that they could use them when they were of working age and could have a job of their own to earn money. While today children will not usually be an apprentice because we have a better education from school on skills we need. In colonial times, children often were not able to get an education unless they were wealthy. All children today have access to school and an education, which is very different from colonial times. For those reasons, childhood has changed a lot since colonial times. . Slavery was very important to the success of the colonies. The first slave boat landed in Jamestown in 1620, it brought slaves from interior Africa who would be forced to do work with no pay. The way slaves got to the colonies was through triangular trade and middle

Life forces humans to endure in a universe that may be completely random and nothing in it may hold any meaning aside from the arbitrary value that I attribute. In addition, some people with ADD can be fidgety, verbally impulsive, unable to wait their turn, and act on impulse regardless of consequences. However, it is important to remember not all people with ADD have all of these difficulties, or all of the time. Due to the fact that society has traditionally thought of a person with ADD as being hyper, many children who have ADD with no hyperactivity are not being identified or treated. Individuals with ADD without hyperactivity are sometimes thought of as daydreamers or absent minded professors. The non hyperactive children with ADD most often seem to be girls (though girls can have ADD with hyperactivity, and boys can have ADD without hyperactivity). Additionally, because of the ability of an individual with ADD to over focus, or hyper focus on something that is of great interest or highly stimulating, many untrained observers assume that this ability to concentrate negates the

Whether small disagreements created from minor issues, to mediocre arguments based on daily matters, to serious incidents that can reflect relationship taboos, it is a couple s perception and understanding of each other that can strengthen or weaken their union. The poem How It Will End by Denise Duhamel portrays two couples involved in similar matters as those previously described. One couple appears to be far from having a happy day at the beach; they re arguing, the female s body language reveals a need for acceptance, distance, and rejection. The second couple s belief of what is stirring and their relationship comparison based on these thoughts, solidifies the underlying truth that marriage is not easy. Lines 20 to 21: I start to coach the girl to leave her no good lifeguard, but my husband predicts he ll never leave, are depicting the couple s mirroring on what they would actually do in this situation. The relationship judgement concept continues in lines 23 through 25 with That s your problem you think every fight is funny. You never take her seriously, and he says, You never even give a guy a chance and you re always nagging where a compromise issue is portrayed this time, obviously on both couples. Relationships require you to extend yourself for the sake of the other, that is collectively understanding each other s needs, accept mistakes, and practice forgiveness.Should relationships be compared to others? Is the concept of assumption safe for a union? Is proof necessary for a couple to be happy? Nothing good ever comes of comparing your relationship to someone else s. It is better to acknowledge that each bond is unique and has its strengths and weaknesses. One of the most important reasons not to compare relationships is that you re not seeing the full picture. Furthermore, in the last two lines of the poem: She has her arms around his neck and is crying into his shoulder, He whisks her up into his hut. Before anyone says that I think that teens should become a part of something dangerous, I do not think people think what sports actually mean. Playing any sport, no matter if it is tennis or water polo, they all give people a good exercise, making your body sweat and leaving you smelly. It is always preferable to prevent behaviour from occurring, to applying strategies to deal with an already occurred behaviour. Prevention can minimise, if it cannot eliminate.
