Short story is brief fictional prose narrative that is shorter
than a novel and that usually deals with only a few
characters.

• ‘In media res’ = (into the middle of things)

Short stories typically range from 1,600 to 20,000
words.
Subject:-
Short stories usually focused on a single subject
or theme.

Short stories usually take place in a single setting and
begin ‘in media res’, which means ‘into the middle of
things’ in Latin.
Limited Number of Character:-
Short stories typically focus on just one or a couple
character.

Plot line:- A way of visually demonstrating a story’s
