Safety Education refers to the kinds
of choices we make individually.
It concerns the knowledge, attitudes, and
skills which can change the risks related
with injury.

bullying?
• Pay attention

What are the forms of
cyber bullying?
FLAMING
Sending angry, rude, or vulgar messages directed at a
person or persons privately or via an online group
It is an intense argument, that normally takes place in chat
rooms, over instant messages or email.
harassment
Repeatedly sending a person offensive
messages.
Cyber stalking
Harassment that is highly intimidating or
includes threat of harm.
denigration
Sending or posting harmful, untrue, or cruel statements
about a person to others.
masquerading
Pretending to be someone else and sending or posting
material that make that person look bad or places that
person in potential danger.
They might create fake email addresses or instant
messaging names or they might use someone else’s email
or mobile phone to bully you
Outing AND Trickery
Sending or posting material about a person that contains
sensitive, private, or embarrassing information, including
forwarding private messages or images, engaging in tricks
to solicit embarrassing information that is then made public.

Specifically and intentionally excluding a person from an
online group, such as exclusion from an instant messaging
buddies/friends/contacts list.

interview how every girl in a class but one was invited to a
recent sleepover. The girls at the party went on the Internet

How to be safe in the
Internet
A. Secure your private information. These are some
private information you should keep from giving out on the
Internet:
• Full name
• Home address
• Contact numbers
• Identification (ID) numbers
• Passwords
• Names of family members
• Credit card/bank account numbers.
B. Careful assess before you create an email address or
screen name.
C. Use an alternate name or nickname which is
different from your screen name specially in chat rooms

Emotional Violence

person feel stupid or
worthless.
Psychological Violence

uses threats and
causes fear in an
individual to gain
control.
Spiritual Violence
Spiritual (or religious)
violence occurs when
someone uses an
individual’s spiritual
beliefs to manipulate,
dominate or control that
person.
Cultural Violence
Cultural violence occurs
when an individual is
harmed as a result of
practices that are part of
her or his culture,
religion or tradition.
Domestic abuse, also known as spousal
abuse, occurs when one person in an intimate
relationship or marriage tries to dominate and
control the other person. Domestic abuse that
includes physical violence is called domestic
violence. It happens within the family, or within
other types of relationship where people live
together, like spouse abuse, siblings hurting
each other, or parent/s maltreating his/her/their
child.

Act of forced or use ofpower to have
an unwanted sexual relations or
intercourse.

  • 2. What is Safety Education? Safety Education refers to the kinds of choices we make individually. It concerns the knowledge, attitudes, and skills which can change the risks related with injury.

  • 9. Why is bullying harmful? 1. Victims can receive physical injury from their abuse 2. Young people who bully are at risk of developing criminal behavior 3. Peers of victims who are bullied are also affected by bullying
  • 10. How can we stop and prevent bullying? • Pay attention • When you see something--- do something • Remain calm • Deal with students individually • Hold bystanders accountable • Listen and don’t pre-judge • Get appropriate professional help

  • 14. FLAMING Sending angry, rude, or vulgar messages directed at a person or persons privately or via an online group It is an intense argument, that normally takes place in chat rooms, over instant messages or email.

They might create fake email addresses or instant messaging names or they might use someone else’s email or mobile phone to bully you

  • 21. TYPES of VIOLENCEPhysical Violence Physical violence occurs when someone uses a part of their body or an object to control a person’s actions. Sexual Violence Sexual violence occurs when a person is forced to unwillingly take part in sexual activity. Emotional Violence Emotional violence occurs when someone says or does something to make a person feel stupid or worthless. Psychological Violence Psychological violence occurs when someone uses threats and causes fear in an individual to gain control. Spiritual Violence Spiritual (or religious) violence occurs when someone uses an individual’s spiritual beliefs to manipulate, dominate or control that person. Cultural Violence Cultural violence occurs when an individual is harmed as a result of practices that are part of her or his culture, religion or tradition.
  • 22. Domestic abuse, also known as spousal abuse, occurs when one person in an intimate relationship or marriage tries to dominate and control the other person. Domestic abuse that includes physical violence is called domestic violence. It happens within the family, or within other types of relationship where people live together, like spouse abuse, siblings hurting each other, or parent/s maltreating his/her/their child.
