Ilya Boyko created rough designs for the content page of their indie fashion magazine by referencing existing content pages to determine the best combination of text and photos for their genre. Bleed zones were not included in the rough designs due to space constraints but will be added to the initial and final designs. Boyko reviewed dozens of content pages and developed two common templates which they filled with original photographs and titles. They experimented with fonts, color palettes, and textures, concluding that the fonts used in the first version were most reader-appealing and suitable for the magazine.

The student created a music video, digipak, and website for the indie rock band Daze to promote their new song. To make the music video, the student followed many conventions of the indie rock genre, such as using vintage clothing and filming techniques to create a nostalgic 90s atmosphere. Audience feedback confirmed the video succeeded in its retro style. The student also learned about their target audience's preferences through surveys. A variety of hardware, software, and web tools were used to complete the project and further the student's technical skills.

ROUGHDESIGNS During the process of creat- ing rough designs for my mag- azine’s content page, I have been using existing content pages, which I have referenced in my previous presentations to figure out which combina- tion of text and photos works best for my specific genre of the magazine. Regarding bleed zones: I un- derstand the impotsnce of them, nevertheless I did not include them un the rough de- signs due to them taking up a lot of space, but they are defi- nitely going to be present in the initial and final designs.

CONCLUSION Having reviwed dozens of content pages in the indie fashion category, I have come up with two most com- mon and reader-appealing design templates, which I later on filled with my original photographs and article titles. After that, I have experimented with font com- binations and differentcolor palettes and textures. I have concluded and noted that fonts used in version one were the most reader-appealing and suitable for this type of magazine. Regarding textures, I decided to keep them due to the rough and vintage look they give to the pages of the magazine.
