The document discusses the materials used to teach kindergarten lessons on various topics. It considers factors like responding to learning aims, relating to the lesson plan, being age-appropriate, and relevant to the topic. Materials used included songs to greet and engage students, puppets to present topics and scaffold learning, pictures in books and posters to demonstrate concepts, toys to present vocabulary, stories and videos to teach lessons in an engaging way, and games to consolidate learning. The goal was to implement a variety of materials coherently to set contexts and achieve learning aims.

In this talk we looked at how the language classroom is often subverted by the young learner and how teachers can appropriate this chance happening and build it into the lesson to make learning more significant and meaningful.

DIDACTIC UNIT: KINDERGARTEN LEVEL.
TOPIC: TOYS EVERYWHERE.
DURING THE DEVELOPMENT OF WEEK Nº 3, WE WORKED WITH ACTIVITIES ABOUT TOYS RELATED TO NUMBERS, AND IDENTIFICATION OF AMOUNT OF TOYS.
Both the students and I enjoyed this lesson so much. Children really liked the puppets and used them so as to interact in L2. Although some changes were done on the spot, I felt that the activity was encouraging and enjoyable for students.

This presentation provides a briefing on how to upload submissions and documents in Google Classroom. It was prepared as part of an orientation for new Sainik School in-service teacher trainees. As a training officer, my goal is to ensure that you are comfortable and proficient with this essential tool for managing assignments and fostering student engagement.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
1. Materials for kindergarten
When I thought about the design and use of materials for my
lessons in kindergarten, I considered the following:
- The design, choice and use of materials have to respond
to the lesson learning aims;
- Materials should help the teacher to set a context and
relate the activities of the lesson plan;
- They have to be coherent with the children age, interests
and needs;
- They have to be related to the topic being learnt.
Taking this into account, and after analysing the institution
and the group where I had to teach, I planned my lessons
introducing the following materials to achieve the learning
aims:
Songs:
Purpose: To greet the children at the beginning and the
end of the lessons. To ask the children if they were happy.
Below are the links to the songs used:

(Bye, goodbye song)
With the finger family song, in lesson N° 3, I wanted the
children to review and practise vocabulary about family
members. I used it to set a context for a guided drawing
activity which came next. To implement this last activity
I printed and gave the children small family members
pictures, like these:
Puppets:
Bartolito: This puppet was our friend during all the
lessons. He helped me to greet the class, present the
5. topics, introduce activities and materials, and was a
useful resource to implement scaffolding strategies.
Mr. Silence: Was other friend. He helped me to ask for
silence to the class.
Family member puppets: Were useful visual aids to set
a context for lesson N° 1. With them, I presented family
members vocabulary and scaffolded children´s learning.
6. Pictures
For lesson N° 1, I designed a short family book, to show
the children different kind of families and to produce on
them awareness of diversity in families.

Posters
In lesson N° 1, I used a poster to implement an activity
that consisted on printing fingers on the branches of a
tree, to represent the children as part of a family inside
the kindergarten.
7. I lesson N° 4, I used a poster to give a closure to my
practicum lessons. Through the poster, I showed the
children the vocabulary, topics, songs, and stories
worked during the lessons. I divided the poster into four
sections: greetings, songs, stories and topics. The poster
helped me to make a final review of topics and vocabulary,
and to assess children´s learning and engagement with
the different activities and materials.
Toys:
The use of toys was a useful resource to present
vocabulary about animals of the farm and to scaffold
children´s learning.
8. Stories
One of the most engaging lessons was the second one,
where I worked with the video song “A walk around the
farm”. We sang it and then we dramatize it. For that aim,
the classroom was set like a farm and the children were
given cardboard binoculars to look at the animals of the
farm.

To continue talking about families and working with
vocabulary about animals, I choose to tell the story “The
three little pigs”. I found a video of the tale in the web
which was useful for my learning aims.
Link to the video:

10. I also printed pictures to show the children specific
vocabulary of the story and to scaffold their learning.
After listening to the story, we dramatized it, using the
pictures, pig masks designed by me with goma eva, and
a plastic wolf mask.
11. The purpose was to give students the opportunity to
practise the new language; relate meaning with pictures,
gestures and movements, develop imagination, self-
confidence, listening, and coordination skills.
In lesson N° 3, I worked with the finger family song. To
set a context to introduce the song, I created a short
story using Bartolito puppet, a farmyard toy, a picture
of a butterfly and a picture of a house.
Games
To consolidate vocabulary about animals of the farm and
to develop cognitive skills, searching on the internet I
found a video game called “Wrong animals”. I included
it as an extra activity to be developed in lesson N° 2 or N°
3.

12. This game may also be designed and implemented using
printed animals (cut into two pieces), glue, and a blank
cardboard to paste the animals once their parts are
correctly put together.
