This document proposes a new reversible watermarking method that utilizes histogram shifting modulation to adaptively handle local image content for effective data insertion. The scheme enhances watermark embedding by using a classification process to identify optimal regions for watermarking, significantly reducing image distortion compared to existing methods. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves superior capacity and lower distortion, especially in textured and medical images, while synchronizing the watermark embedder and extractor.
