• Delivered services to clients including landscape design and construction,
water feature design and installation, and general home renovation.

Director, Compensation & Payroll Services (2005 – 2008)
• Led change as ICBC adjusted and renewed its human resource strategies in
response to changing labour market and talent supply issues.
• Led the design and implementation of a new management compensation
program that provided a direct link of employee performance to both base
salary increases and annual incentive pay.
• Provided ongoing governance, as a trustee and committee member, for two
company pension plans.
• Provided guidance and coaching to the department management team on
matters of employee relations, performance management and other
organizational issues.
• Led a team of HR professionals in providing day-to-day services in
compensation policy and practice, pension and benefit administration, payroll
services, and general HR transactional support.
• Provided advice, as a steering committee member, to the management
bargaining committee during collective bargaining with the company union.
Director, Human Resources Business Operations (2000 – 2005)
• Led a review of the external provider of company dental and extended health
benefit plans. The result was a change in provider leading to improved plan
cost effectiveness and service delivery options to company employees and
retirees.
• Led the review and implementation of changes to the company post-
retirement benefit plan for management employees. The result was a
reduction in long term liabilities while maintaining core coverage for retirees.
• Provided ongoing governance to two company pension plans.

• Lead a team of HR generalists in providing human resource consulting

wide range of human resource issues.
