Strategic Corporate Services Manager specialising in leading high profile projects,
managing and motivating staff and achieving results. Empowers staff, evokes change and

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Project Management
• Leading a team that achieved completion of a large project that was delivered on time
and on budget as part of the Shared Services reform initiative in the Department of
Treasury and Finance.
Change Management
• Implementation of corporate services functionality involving meetings with key
stakeholders in a range of agencies to ensure a successful outcome that meet their
needs. I also provided advice on employees entitlements and their relation to industrial
legislation.
• Implementing an Automated Payroll Solution at the Department of Education, across 800
worksites and successfully managed the associated changes for schools processing and
accessing data directly into the HR Solution.
• Managing a series of improvement initiatives within Health Corporate Network which
improved the quality of our legislative implementations, project management, and
improved services for Doctors Payroll transactions.
Leadership
• Managing and Leading a large group of people in administering the HR/Payroll function at
DET (85 FTE). This involved being responsible for the successful delivery of a $1.3billion
annual payroll budget to approximately 45,000 employees at over 800 locations spread
throughout the state.
• Leading a team of people at DTF Shared Services and maintaining their focus and
motivation over the duration of projects within tight deadlines. The team was made up of
both Public Sector employees and technical consultants from the private sector.
• Ensuring that contractual obligations of vendors were being adhered to as part of the
implementation of a large HR/Payroll systems, including the documentation of processes
and functionality to ensure that the systems could be maintained in a cost effective
manner in the future.
• Managing a team of people performing a diverse range of activities and leading a number
of small projects ie Superannuation, District allowance changes for regional employees,
service improvement and quality assurance. Some of these projects involved the back
payment of millions of dollars going back a number of years.
• Placing a high importance on building positive relationships with key people both within
and external to the organisation. For example, managers of key customers at various WA
Health sites, central government agencies such as Treasury, Commerce and GESB. Key
partners in service deliver such as Finance, Corporate Business Systems, Information
Management.
Public Sector Management
• Participating in the selection of the Salary Packaging Service Providers appointed to the
Whole of Government, Common Use Arrangements.
2. • Working with the Department of Commerce, Labour Relations on the Standardisation of
Industrial Relations Legislation an influencing the direction of industrial negotiations.
• On numerous occasions I have represented the department (Education, whole of
government and WA Health) in various meetings with union representatives.
• Worked with GESB, Dept of Treasury, and the State Solicitors Office on the
Implementation of important Federal Government changes to Superannuation.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Manager, Employee Benefits Operations, Health Corporate Network June 2014 to date
• Managing a team of 160 Payroll staff to accurately maintain the pay and entitlements of
approximately 50 000 WA Health employees.
• Conducting a review of the processes and procedures to identify areas requiring
improvement, particularly in the managers role.
• Responsible for the accurate and timely payment of all staff transitioning to the new Fiona
Stanley Hospital commencing October 2014.
