2. Career History Location Manager and Grain Merchandiser
Landmark Services Cooperative – Fall River, Wisconsin
Promoted internally to handle the project management of the new 110 car shuttle
loading grain elevator that Landmark Services Cooperative was building in Fall
River, WI and to manage the facility and its employees after the project was
completed.
Oversee the daily activities of the facility. Observe activities, anticipate problems
and ensure the smooth operation. Schedule staff and assign duties to serve the
customer. Solve problems.
Develop and implement strategies to meet the financial and sales goals set for
Landmark’s grain division. This includes marketing/sales plans, cost containment
efforts or product changes. Review grain sales activities to measure productivity,
maintain margins, reduce costs and improve the bottom line.
Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire, train, evaluate and coach
staff. Recommend promotions, retention and terminations.
Create and maintain relationships with grain brokers, ethanol plants, feed mills and
other grain markets. Follow the market and communicate sell opportunities to
producers. Maintain grain bank balances. Maintain relationships with railroads
that serve the locations.
Responsible for location safety. Ensure that all employees have safety training,
equipment is in good working order and the facilities are free of hazards. Follow
all OSHA and DOT rules and regulations.

office to quote grain prices and go over the contracting options that will best fit
