Parent-Child Relationships In No-No Boy
In novel No No Boy, Japanese American writer, John Okada, tells a story centered around the life of a
young Japanese American boy named Ichiro Yamada who was seen and treated as a No No boy
during/after World War II. After Japan s attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States government ordered
the mandatory relocation of people with Japanese ancestry regardless of their citizenships and
incarcerated them in internment camps. In internment camps, Japanese Americans who refused to sign
the Loyalty Oath and refused to serve in the U.S. Army were defined as No No s, and would be sent to
prison. The novel discussed the continuous struggle of Japanese American community in the racially

and had little to none affection for Japan. To Ichiro, the U.S. was his homeland, and he should be loyal
to the U.S. by joining the military. This generational gap between two different immigrant generations,
Ichiro and his paranoid and controlling mother, already had the potential to create conflicts; yet the
war between Japan and the U.S. intensified the tension. To Ichiro, being a No No Boy caused by his
mother s powerful influence was destructive to him. His decision was against his will; and this
decision not only destroyed his future by sending him to jail for two years, but also made him no
longer a true American citizen which he used to identify himself to, because he betrayed his country.
However, Ichiro was not a true Japanese either, since Japan was foreign to him in the first place. Thus,
Ichiro was neither a true American nor a true Japanese; both side rejected him. Failed to gain back his
bright future and seek for belonging and acceptance, Ichiro was constantly in confusion and rage. And
this could be seen throughout Ichiro s character development as he never felt peaceful or relieved, and
he kept regretting about his decisions, kept questioning his self identity and self worth, kept punishing
himself by rejecting any possible opportunities which might provide him a better future... not until his
mother passed away. The quote from Ichiro s mother revealed one of the major sources that caused

China, A Home And Folk Remedy
The essay gives a synopsis of Chinese culture in terms of life processes, health and illness,
Maintaining wellness, causes of illness, traditional way of healing the cure, and the impact of cultural
background of health professional during treatment. The context of this essay will highlight the
concept of cultural stereotype and its influence on ones health due to the customs and beliefs. In china,
a home and folk remedy is a conventional way of treating illness and is preferred over the western
medical practices. (Dixon.B, 2009, pp. 4 5). Some orthodox Chinese communities assume that
incongruity of qi and yin and yang disturbs the health of people. (Dixon.B, 2009, pp. 4 5). The beliefs

The way people perceived life in China affect their mental health and illness.
Traditional Chinese practices have great contribution in maintaining wellness in china. The psychiatric
wellness is maintained when the activities of mind, body and soul combine together. (Dixon.B, 2009,
pp. 4 5). Natural recourses like hot springs and healing waters are required to maintain wellness.
Indeed, the conventional Chinese Medicine is cultural asset of wellness (Heung.V, Kucukusta.D,

is best known to maintain spiritual esteem balanced secretion. However, T ia Chi helps in controlling

Health and Illness is determined by the interaction between healthy mind, body and soul. In china, self
stigmatization is very common in people with mental illness. For example, Young and Ng (2015, p.
176) suggested that most of the Chinese people with mental disorder suffer from public stigma and
self stigma. Due to the unhealthy mind and surroundings, it is hard for people to recover from illness.

Cbt vs Psychoanalysis
Introduction The psychodynamic group consists of four main therapies; Freud s psychoanalytic
approach, Jungian, Adlerian and Object Relations. The therapist is focused on personality
reconstruction, gaining insight to unconscious motivations and suppressed materials predominately
relating to early childhood. The basic psychodynamics of the person are established early in life
during the stages of psychosexual development. The role of subsequent experiences is determined by
the motivational patterns established in early childhood (Mischel, 1971, pg.51). The cognitive
behavioural group consists of four behavioural treatment therapies; Behavioural Modification,

This process is called a lifestyle assessment (Corey, 2001 pg. 115). Alderian Therapy includes
incorporating social interest, community feeling and birth order. To be happy and connect with others
we need to feel a belonging in society. Richard would need to master how to relate to others, make a
contribution, achieve intimacy, have self acceptance and develop a spiritual dimension. Encouraging
Richard to identify old patterns and act as if he was a new person the person he wants to be, would do
this. Corey (2001) explains the reorientation stage as the final stage in therapy This phase focuses on
helping people discover new and more functional alternatives. Clients are encouraged and challenged
to develop the courage to take risks and make changes in their lives (pg. 124). Depending on the birth
order and sibling relationships, the people in a family will experience the same environmental
upbringing but have different psychological situations. Birth order and the interpretation of one s
position in the family have a great deal to do with how adults interact in the world (Corey, 2001, pg
133). Analysis: Assuming Richard is an only child he may feel a great need for achievement and drive,
which is what he may have been doing to try to please his parents and wives by being a perfect

ABSTRACT
This project focuses on preparing samples for major and trace element analyses of the Cat Hills
volcanic field. Fourteen rock samples were collected from different locations from the Cat Hills
volcanic field. Whole rock samples were crushed with a Chipmunk jaw crusher to obtain gravel sized
particles. Samples were separated using sieves with a mesh spacing of 0.0037 inches and 0.0195
inches. Gravel sized samples collected from the 0.0195 sieve fraction were leached in 5% nitric acid

What Are The Similarities Between Lord Of The Flies And...
The Odds of Survival
May the odds be ever in your favor. In other words you will need luck in order to survive the battle
you are going to enter. Lord of the Flies is a classic literature book published in 1954 by William
Golding, a British author. This book is about a group of boys stranded on an island during WWII and
they turned into savages in order for survival. The Hunger Games is a pop culture literature book
published in 2008 as well as a movie released in 2012, which written by Suzanne Collins. The Hunger
Games is about a dystopian society where oppressed people live in factions based on their wealth; as
well as having children chosen to fight to kill one another as a punishment to the people for the
rebellion. Many people may not compare these two books but there are lots of things similar in each
book. Lord of the Flies and The Hunger Games have many similar aspects such as like settings,
character behaviors, and the ways of survival.
In the book Lord of the Flies and the book The Hunger Games, the settings are very closely related
even though some people may not compare them to each other. In Lord of the Flies, Jack s tribe found
a little neck on the island and named it the castle, and this is where he and his tribe hid out during their
time on the island. The castle was filled with a bunch traps to help keep them safe, and one of the traps
consisted of the boys having a rock on the lever and releasing it when the wrong people tried to enter
the castle. In

Hershey s Chocolate

Abstract
Hershey s Chocolate is one of the most recognizable brands in the U.S. Hershey built this recognition
by building brand loyalty. They began to build this loyalty in the early 1990 s by targeting their
marketing to adults. The reasons for this are many, but two are that adults eat about 55% of all candy
consumed and that mothers shape their children s early taste in candy. Hershey revised their marketing
strategy in several ways. Hershey also has an amusement park in the hometown of the Company,
Hershey, Pennsylvania.

mobile fast paced adults carry a small re sealable bag in their car or in a desk drawer, instead of
leaving a half eaten candy bar in the same place. The process of choosing the bag of candy over a
candy bar falls into the low involvement, high knowledge problem solving process (Peter amp; Olson,
2012, p. 177). The consumer has a high knowledge of the product, a candy bar, and presumably has a
favorable view of the candy. It requires low involvement because the buyer knows they like the candy,
but prefer to have the bag of candy because of the convenience and other attributes previously
mentioned. I prefer the original size of candy bar.
My Last Candy Purchase
The most recent candy purchase I made was at the local grocery store. I have a favorable disposition

pick up, so I began my assault on the aisles without taking a cart (thinking and deciding actions of
cognition). I stood in the adult beverage section for several minutes trying to decide what flavor I was
in the mood for that weekend. I made a selection (overt behavior) and continued

The Rise Of The Scientific Revolution
The Scientific Revolution made a greater impact on western history then the Enlightenment because
of two main reasons, the printing press and the scientific method. First off, the printing press changed
society in many ways, from the enlightenment to present day. The printing press spread around the
new beliefs and ideas of the enlightenment, for example, many books like Dialogue Concerning the
Two Chief World Systems , Starry Messenger , and On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Bodies
became accessible due to the invention of the press. These ideas became known to many, and people
started to think for their own and create their own beliefs, with logic and doubt to ancient ideas such
as church teachings. To further prove the impact of

The Experiment By Mary Ainsworth
Abstract
This report discusses and evaluates the experiment conducted by Mary Ainsworth (1970) on several
types of attachments one year olds form and can form with their parents, specifically mothers. It
discusses how these attachments are formed and further explains the function of the attachments for
future development. Supported ideas are included to support agreement with Ainsworth s theories.
Suggested interventions to help children develop healthy attachments concludes the report.

infants are naturally attached to their mothers or both parents. This notion is not entirely true.

There has been much research on attachment between parent/caregiver and child, but the most
recognizable of this research is mostly credited to Mary Ainsworth s (1970) study of one year olds and
their mothers in the Strange Situation . The words attachment and bonding are often used
synonymously to describe the relationship between parent and child. According to scientists, these
terms are distinctive by definition. Attachment is the child s way of using the parent/primary caregiver
as security, safety and source of comfort from which to explore (Waters Cummings, 2000). Bonding is
the formation of a mutual emotional and psychological closeness between a child and the
parent(s)/primary caregiver; mostly in the interest of the parent. Attachment theory is of importance
when related to parenting for children. Ainsworth describes three types of attachments: secure,
insecure avoidant and insecure resistant. A fourth type was later added to describe disorganized
attachment. A review of the Strange Situation procedure and interventions to help children develop
healthy attachments to primary caregivers is described in this report.
The Strange Situation The Strange Situation procedure was conducted with infants ranging from 12 to
18 months old and 56 middle class, Caucasian American families. The purpose of the study was to
determine various styles of attachments and the nature of these attachments when

Persuasive Essay On Robotics
Despite being stereotyped as nerdy by many, robotics is a rewarding extracurricular that can be
beneficial to anyone. Robotics is a program centralized around STEM, which stands for science,
technology, engineering, and math. Today, many schools will have a robotics program, most of which
are run by either VEX or FIRST. All of these programs are centralized around a team working together
to build a robot to the best of their ability to score as many points as possible. All the while,
participants also learn teamwork and technical skills that can be applied to the real world. I have been
a part of VEX Robotics Competition for three years, and prior to that participated in FIRST Lego
League for five years. Throughout this essay, I will mainly focus on VEX Robotics Competition, as
that is the program that I am currently a part of. STEM and robotics programs in schools must become
more available and receive more time and attention because they help train students for engineering
fields which are steadily growing, assist students in being accepted into colleges, and transform
lessons in school into practical, real world skills. To begin, engineering fields have shown consistent
growth, so it is important that students are prepared for pursuing these fields. Experience early on with
practical skills in a robotics club setting can give students an edge if they choose to go into
engineering. For this reason, it is important that robotics be available to as many students as

Five Principles Of Resilience
ORGANISATIONAL RESILIENCE: A REVIEW
Prof. Fabiola M. Dhanaraj, Principal, Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing, Kanchipuram.
Introduction
The term Organizational Resilience may be new to many of us especially in nursing. Our workplaces
can face resilience which we should be able to manage. Resilience is an abstract term that is used
substantially across a range of disciplines, such as psychology, sociology, economics, ecology,
engineering and network theory, to name but a few. In its most general human context, resilience can
be stated as the ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change . However, in its most
generally accepted form, the term resilience refers to the way in which any entity or system achieves
an end state of keeping going .

1. Leadership: Resilience begins with enterprise leadership setting the priorities, allocating the
resources and making the commitments to establish organizational resilience throughout the
enterprise. Leadership achieves a balance between risk taking and risk containment to ensure ongoing
innovation, but in the context of prudent risk minimization.
2. Culture: The second component of organizational resilience is enterprise culture. A resilient culture
is built on principles of organizational empowerment, purpose, trust and accountability. A resilient
culture is built on a strong sense of trust between employees, management, suppliers and partners.
People assume responsibility without question. People commit to action and do what has to be done
regardless of rank, title or job description. A resilient organization is a passionate organization, and it

Persuasive Essay On Advertising
Television, newspaper, social media; no one can escape advertisements. They consume our world and
affect us everyday. Persuading, grabbing attention, or enticing their audience to buy explains the
overall goal of advertisers. In an ad published by the Network Advertising of Mumbai, India in May
2010, it uses the model of persuasion to discuss a highly controversial topic. By using a visual that
involves a little boy trapped inside the two fingers of a smoker, the Network Advertising of Mumbai,
India uses this image as an attempt to convince smokers that smoking becomes only a pleasure for
you, but poison for your family. This ad uses blank space to draw attention to the main image to tell
the story. A background filled with a dull green has the words written Smoking. Pleasure For You.
Poison For Your Family (Adsarchive). The image shows a little boy trapped inside the two fingers of a
smoker wearing a dingy white shirt and green pants along with no shoes. Could they be dirty from the
cigarettes? Squeezed by a discolored hand of a smoker, the young child expresses a look of depression
across his face. All of the colors in this ad associate with the feelings of the heartbroken and
seriousness. In this advertisement, an ethos, logos and pathos appeal show throughout. In white bold

The Book Of The Grotesques, Hands, And The Teacher By...
In Sherwood Anderson s three short stories The Book of the Grotesques , Hands and The Teacher we
confront the beauty and difficulty in existing amongst multiple beautiful, harsh truths in a world where
so many choose and push only one. These stories in succession reminded me of Mark Edmundson
paraphrasing William Carlos Williams: People die miserably every day for lack of what is found in
despised poems (1). But what Anderson brings us is another version of a small, poetic, dangerous
layering of truths. Adolf Myers, Kate Swift and their students live in a world of small, lowercase t

Anasazi Disappearance
The History and the Disappearance of the Anasazi Introduction: My topic is the history and the
disappearance of the Anasazi. I chose this topic because I am from Colorado and we visited Mesa
Verde on school trips. I find the Anasazi culture interesting and doing research on them seemed like it
would be enjoyable.
` The Anasazi populated the four corners area of Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. They
became independent somewhere between 200 and 500 A.D. and disappeared 1100 years later leaving
behind many remains. There are many theories about what could have happened to the Anasazi but the
speculation with the strongest evidence is that they scattered due to drought and decreased resources.
Despite their disappearance, the Anasazi ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The article Riddles of the Anasazi states Using data from tree rings, researchers know that a terrible
drought seized the Southwest from 1276 to 1299; it is possible that in certain areas there was virtually
no rain at all during those 23 years. No rain for 23 years would be a justified reason for them to find
other places to live. The Anasazi also chopped down many trees for beams and firewood which lead to
deforestation. There is also evidence of an even longer drought from the years 1130 to 1180 which
shows that they were strong enough to withstand droughts before. It doesn t make sense for them to
last through a 50 year drought then leave because of a 23 year drought therefore it is still a mystery
what caused them to leave. The evidence isn t strong enough to know if this is why they left for
certain but there is more evidence that supports this is than any other reason for their

Statutory Rape Of A Child Under Section 13
1. Rape of a child under 13
This offence is commonly referred to as statutory rape and comes under section 5 of the SOA 2003
which states that a person will be criminalised as long as he is over the age of criminal responsibility
(10 years old) and may face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment if he uses his penis to
intentionally penetrate the vagina, anus or mouth of another person who is under the age of 13. The
elements of this section are the same as rape i.e. section 1, except that the victims consent or no
consent is irrelevant. This can be seen in the case of G (2008) where the defendant aged 15 had sexual
intercourse with the victim who was 12. V had consented to it, and D reasonably believed that V was
over 13. D was charged with a section 5 offence to which he appealed, his appeal was dismissed by
the House of Lords as the issues of consent and D s belief in V s age are irrelevant to the offence.
2. Assault of a child under 13 by penetration
This offence comes under section 6 of the SOA 2003 and states that a person commits an offence if he
intentionally penetrates the vagina or anus of another person under the age of 13 in a sexual manner.
This section mirrors the section 2 offence, however, this offence does not require the victim to lack
consent to penetration or for the defendant to lack a belief in the victims consent which means that D
will be held liable for the offence if he sexually penetrates V who is under the age of 13 in the
proscribed manner.

Phantom of the Opera Review
Phantom of the Opera is the longest running musical to date and has become one of the most beloved
and well known musicals on Broadway. The musical was inspired and loosely based on the characters
and the story of the book Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. This CD is the original London
cast which means that this recording is with the first cast that ever preformed the musical with the
actors that created the parts. The musical was written and composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is
one of the most famous musical composers and has composed some of the most well loved musicals
of the last fifty years. Webber created incredible and emotional music for Phantom of the Opera that
set this musical apart from all the others. One thing that makes Phantom of the Opera a unique musical
experience is because it does not try to fit into one genre and does not try to be too modern. This
makes it unique because most of today s musicals are trying to be more pop culture. The Phantom of
the Opera manages to stay in the time period where the story takes place but weaves in modern
comedy and rock music. The most obvious way that this is done is with the main theme of the
musical. The pounding of the organ is one of the most well known themes in musical theatre and it is
reminiscent of rock music with the guitar but it is different than rock because it is an organ not a
guitar. There are many other contrasts between old and new in the musical. One contrast is of musical
and opera. The

Stereotype Of The Angry Black Woman
I am loud, irate, and unapproachable. If you disrespect me, I become uncontrollable, because my only
method of communication is through deleterious speech that only escalates the situation further. I am
the angry black woman. We see this horrific stereotype almost every day on television and very
seldom notice it, because we get lost in the entertainment of it. The Angry Black Woman stereotype is
harmful to black women, young and old, because it shows us in a negative light and can control how
other and how we see ourselves. When women get angry, it s often blamed dismissively on their
monthly menstrual cycle. But imagine just how infuriating it would be if all of your negative emotions
were blamed on your year round skin tone. The stereotype of the angry black woman is a prime
example of how these categorizations function as social control mechanisms. Media constantly use
this stereotype of the angry black woman as rude, stubborn, and most of all angry. Though we all
know that most movies are fictional, they are harmful because they can demonstrate different real life
personalities. The Angry Train scene in Why Did I Get Married, displays this stereotype. In this scene,
we see Angela, Marcus wife confront her husband about his baby mama looking at her crazy. The
passengers behind Angela and Marcus asks her to quiet down, and from there, we see the angry black
woman break out, hence the scene title, Angry Train . We also hear some racist remarks from the

Symbolism In The Open Boat By Stephen Crane
Undoubtedly, Stephen Crane s Open Boat is regarded as one of the finest and most intriguing short
story written by an author with a naturalistic point of view or perspective. Stephen sets up the story
based on his real life experience thereby bringing out the intrinsic reality to his audience using
symbolism, poetry, and imagery. Perhaps the most intriguing naturalistic approach of the Open Boat is
the way Stephen expresses the themes in the short story with an ironic twist regarding the vastness of
the universe and the insignificance of man. As such, Stephen Crane s short story, The Open Boat, is a
true depiction of the tag of war between the unpredictable cosmic universe and man exposing the
themes of determination for survival, mortality, friendship, with an exquisite touch of other devices
such as poetry, symbolism or imagery, and tone. This paper aims at dissecting this subject matter
through a detailed analysis of the plot created throughout the novel. Since the story is based on the
true life experience of Stephen Crane, the setting of the story, therefore, is determined by the actual
event off the coast of Florida. As mentioned in the story, the setting area of the story is the Mosquito
Inlet. Based on the occurrence of the real event, the story is contextualized within the period of
January 1897 (enotes 7). The main theme expressed by Stephen Crane in the story is nature s
indifference towards man or nature versus man. The author elaborates the realization of

For each table, there will be 1 vial per strain. In addition, 2 graduated cylinders with 500 ml capacity
will be needed on each table. 2. Each of the cylinders needs to be covered on the inside with paraffin
wax that can be applied with forceps and cotton. 3. Transfer the flies of a vial into the cylinder using a
funnel. Ensure that during the transfer process, the funnel is kept in a vertical position so that the flies
do not come in contact with paraffin layered cylinder walls. 4. The ability of the flies to fly measure
their flying potential. The flies with good flying ability will hit the walls of the cylinder close to the
top, whereas the flies with lesser flying potential will hit the cylinder walls at lower levels or hit the
bottom. 5. Document the number of flies and the position of collision with the cylinder walls. The
cylinder can be divided into 3 areas for ease of measurement. Procedure: Extraction of Mitochondria
The experiment will entail the following: 1. 3 strains of female flies (wt, sdhB, and w501) will be used

acts of nuclear, biological, and chemical terrorism. There have been many references by both the
media and politicians to a War on Terror, and if we are to characterize this as a war, it is a war with an

You will be tasked with the difficult attempt of consolidating your efforts, agreeing to shared aims,
and destroying the ability and willingness of the West to continue to degrade our nations and way of
life. With the United States drawing down its forces in Iraq, the work of the Iranians on their nuclear
technology, and recent developments in the world at large distracting the West, this is our chance to
strike back at our enemy after a decade of war in which we have continued to retreat. We must regain
our strength and influence in our homelands. You must rebuild the strength of your organizations, both
in terms of men and money and in terms of operational capacity and reach.
However, you must also be creative and take the fight back to the enemy s lands. For too long they
have sat in safety as they bomb our lands and invade us from afar. It is time for their populations to
feel the costs of war as we have felt it for decades. There are many weaknesses to be exploited and
avenues of approach. To you is left the task of figuring out which is most worthwhile and practical.
The price of failure is great, for failure means the loss of our beliefs and lands. Good luck, and may
you succeed in the monumental tasks before you.

Participatory Sensing And The New Era Of Technology
After reading and gathering information about this article participatory sensing, my first initial thought
was what is participatory sensing? Participatory sensing is an approach to data collection and
interpretation in which individuals, acting alone or in groups, use their personal mobile devices and
web services to systematically explore interesting aspects of their worlds ranging from health to
culture. There are many authentic forms of participatory sensing, but one in particular is the article
written by Katie Shilton. As Shilton expresses the use of participatory sensing through forms of
privacy, mobile phone, and ubiquitous data collection. Based on these forms of technology about
participatory sensing, how would it improve our lives and our communities, but at what cost, we are
willing to have our privacy be out there in many databases? As we move into the new era of
technology, the thought of our personal information being place into database collection have many
concerns, but few are left untold about the truth of their information. The database is derive from
many information like mobile phone as they are used to analyze the research behind the use of mobile
phones communication. The use of mobile phones is used to collect data for personal or social projects
for the mobile and urban coverage. Moreover, Participatory sensing is meant to enable and encourage
anyone to gather and investigate previously invisible data. An example, through the mobile phone

(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nthFhrKqh3I). As per his communication style, he is able to
perform effectively in individual communication. However, in case of mass audience, he is unable to
perform accordingly. The reason behind performing weak in front of a mass audience is his
nervousness. In this context, he is able to manage in hiding his nervousness while delivering speech.
Apart from that, communication style is not enough to create strong impact over the listeners. The
individual should also have a prompt communication skill for attracting the audience towards the
viewpoint. In case of Tim Cook, he is not that active with his physical gesture while addressing a mass
audience (Schriver, 2012).
As opined by (Hawkins Fillion, 2012), communication style of Tim Cook can be more effective by
considering some activities. The activities such as improving presentation and body language while
communicating. Apart from that, a prompt decision should be delivered with sufficient energy. Rate of
speech of Cook is very low, which probably prevents him from presenting his own statement. On the
other hand, Arnold (2014) opposed that appearance of Cook is very formal, which is not feasible with
the agenda of Steve Jobs. Jobs use to maintain his signature turtleneck and jeans. Thus, he was able to
engage the audience towards his speech by providing qualitative materials as support. In case of Tim

The Many Theories of the JFK Assassination
Introduction
There are many theories that have been introduced to people surrounding the assassination of
President John F. Kennedy. The assassination of the 35th President of the United States, John
Fitzgerald Kennedy, occurred on November 22, 1963. Kennedy was fatally shot while riding in the
presidential limousine through the streets of Dallas, Texas. The projectile that struck his head shattered
the right side of his skull. During an interview with the Detroit Free Press (2013), a former secret
service agent named Clint Hill recalled his actions moments after the shooting. He tells the reporter
that he covered the presidents head because, She didn t want anybody to see the condition he ... Show

The 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination was commemorated on November 22, 2013. President
Lyndon B. Johnson created the Warren Commission to investigate the assassination of John F.
Kennedy. The final report presented by the commission claimed that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone
in killing the president. (Wikipedia, 2013). This report has proven to be highly controversial among
citizens. There have been many theories as to who killed Kennedy, why they did it, and from what
location. There are some theories that are more prominent than others such as: The CIA, The Mafia,
The anti Castro Cubans, a man from the Secret Service, and Lee Harvey Oswald. There are other
theories believing that Lyndon B. Johnson and UFO specialists may have been involved. Each one of
these theories will be explored throughout this paper.
The CIA Involvement Theory
The CIA s involvement in the killing of JFK is one of the popular theories put forward by conspiracy
theorists. President Kennedy was said to have told an official in his administration, I want to splinter
the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds (McGovern, 2013, para. 3). Many of the
individuals who disliked Kennedy believed he was the reason for the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in
1961. They also believed that he would reduce the size of the military industrial complex and that he
was not going after communism hard enough. The CIA was involved

bonds can have the same structure than bonds (straight payoff with possibility to increase), but they
are quite more risky, because if there is no conversion, they paid the same amount for a product than
can be two times less rentable. Second, bonds are a call option on the equity, that means that there
expectations should be bullish, hoping for an increase in share price. This should be their real goal,

Although many returnees ended up returning to their homes, the country was still broken due to many

corruption, and economic hardship compound the legacy of wartime displacements (Ó Tuathail and

corruption, caused the country to remain broken even though so many people were able to return to
their prewar homes. The country also remained broken after the war because the Bosnian Muslims
were still left isolated and vulnerable. As supported by McMahon and Western, Second, exiting
Bosnia will now leave Bosnian Muslims isolated and vulnerable, sending precisely the wrong message
to the Muslim world at a time when Brussels and Washington are trying to mend relationships frayed

The Main Categories Are Violent Crimes And Property Crimes
There are many different types of crime. The two main sub categories are violent crimes and property
crimes. Violent crimes are against people, such as murder, rape, aggravated assault, and robbery.
Property crimes include burglary, larceny theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. Young white males
commit the majority of both of these crimes, and make up more than half of the arrests of all crimes.
This is because society makes men feel like they have to show their masculinity and aggression and
competitiveness and fight the system and commit crimes, violent or property. People of all ages and
races, and women also commit many crimes, however. Still, the majority of crimes are committed by
young people, white people, and males, typically a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This social problem is so serious not just because of all of the consequences that follow it, but the
culture that has sprung up today that perpetuates rape and, especially, victim blaming. Child abuse is a
major social problem because many children are abused by their parents, sexually, mentally, or
physically, and some are even murdered by their parents. These abused children grow up to face future
mental health issues, as in depression, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, or low confidence and self
esteem. Child abuse occurs at every socioeconomic level, crosses ethnic and cultural lines, and is
present in all religions and at all levels of education. Child abuse is caused by multiple reasons
including stress from caring for children, especially if the child has a disability, special needs, or
particularly difficult behavior, a lack of resources necessary to properly care for a child, difficulty
controlling their anger (which can be due to physical or mental health problems such as depression
and anxiety, or alcohol or drug abuse), isolation from a family or community, personal problems like
marital conflict, unemployment, or financial difficulties, or a lack of maturity. These two crimes are
not the only two major or common ones, but as you can see, they are a much larger sub problem to the
big social problem of crime that they make crime an even more complex and important issue.

  • 2. Parent-Child Relationships In No-No Boy In novel No No Boy, Japanese American writer, John Okada, tells a story centered around the life of a young Japanese American boy named Ichiro Yamada who was seen and treated as a No No boy during/after World War II. After Japan s attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States government ordered the mandatory relocation of people with Japanese ancestry regardless of their citizenships and incarcerated them in internment camps. This generational gap between two different immigrant generations, Ichiro and his paranoid and controlling mother, already had the potential to create conflicts; yet the war between Japan and the U.S. intensified the tension. To Ichiro, being a No No Boy caused by his mother s powerful influence was destructive to him. His decision was against his will; and this decision not only destroyed his future by sending him to jail for two years, but also made him no longer a true American citizen which he used to identify himself to, because he betrayed his country. However, Ichiro was not a true Japanese either, since Japan was foreign to him in the first place. Thus, Ichiro was neither a true American nor a true Japanese; both side rejected him. Failed to gain back his bright future and seek for belonging and acceptance, Ichiro was constantly in confusion and rage. And this could be seen throughout Ichiro s character development as he never felt peaceful or relieved, and he kept regretting about his decisions, kept questioning his self identity and self worth, kept punishing himself by rejecting any possible opportunities which might provide him a better future... not until his mother passed away. They began to build this loyalty in the early 1990 s by targeting their marketing to adults. The reasons for this are many, but two are that adults eat about 55% of all candy consumed and that mothers shape their children s early taste in candy. The consumer has a high knowledge of the product, a candy bar, and presumably has a favorable view of the candy. It requires low involvement because the buyer knows they like the candy, but prefer to have the bag of candy because of the convenience and other attributes previously mentioned. I prefer the original size of candy bar. My Last Candy Purchase The most recent candy purchase I made was at the local grocery store. I have a favorable disposition toward this store (cognition). First off, the printing press changed society in many ways, from the enlightenment to present day. The words attachment and bonding are often used synonymously to describe the relationship between parent and child. According to scientists, these terms are distinctive by definition. Attachment is the child s way of using the parent/primary caregiver as security, safety and source of comfort from which to explore (Waters Cummings, 2000). Bonding is the formation of a mutual emotional and psychological closeness between a child and the parent(s)/primary caregiver; mostly in the interest of the parent. Attachment theory is of importance when related to parenting for children. Ainsworth describes three types of attachments: secure, insecure avoidant and insecure resistant. A fourth type was later added to describe disorganized attachment. A review of the Strange Situation procedure and interventions to help children develop healthy attachments to primary caregivers is described in this report. All of these programs are centralized around a team working together to build a robot to the best of their ability to score as many points as possible. All the while, participants also learn teamwork and technical skills that can be applied to the real world. I have been a part of VEX Robotics Competition for three years, and prior to that participated in FIRST Lego League for five years. Throughout this essay, I will mainly focus on VEX Robotics Competition, as that is the program that I am currently a part of. STEM and robotics programs in schools must become more available and receive more time and attention because they help train students for engineering fields which are steadily growing, assist students in being accepted into colleges, and transform lessons in school into practical, real world skills. To begin, engineering fields have shown consistent growth, so it is important that students are prepared for pursuing these fields. Experience early on with practical skills in a robotics club setting can give students an edge if they choose to go into engineering. For this reason, it is important that robotics be available to as many students as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In an ad published by the Network Advertising of Mumbai, India in May 2010, it uses the model of persuasion to discuss a highly controversial topic. In Sherwood Anderson s three short stories The Book of the Grotesques , Hands and The Teacher we confront the beauty and difficulty in existing amongst multiple beautiful, harsh truths in a world where so many choose and push only one. These stories in succession reminded me of Mark Edmundson paraphrasing William Carlos Williams: People die miserably every day for lack of what is found in despised poems (1). But what Anderson brings us is another version of a small, poetic, dangerous layering of truths. I chose this topic because I am from Colorado and we visited Mesa Verde on school trips. I find the Anasazi culture interesting and doing research on them seemed like it would be enjoyable. ` The Anasazi populated the four corners area of Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. They became independent somewhere between 200 and 500 A.D. and disappeared 1100 years later leaving behind many remains. There are many theories about what could have happened to the Anasazi but the speculation with the strongest evidence is that they scattered due to drought and decreased resources. There is also evidence of an even longer drought from the years 1130 to 1180 which shows that they were strong enough to withstand droughts before. It doesn t make sense for them to last through a 50 year drought then leave because of a 23 year drought therefore it is still a mystery what caused them to leave. Rape of a child under 13 This offence is commonly referred to as statutory rape and comes under section 5 of the SOA 2003 which states that a person will be criminalised as long as he is over the age of criminal responsibility (10 years old) and may face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment if he uses his penis to intentionally penetrate the vagina, anus or mouth of another person who is under the age of 13. The elements of this section are the same as rape i.e. section 1, except that the victims consent or no consent is irrelevant. This can be seen in the case of G (2008) where the defendant aged 15 had sexual intercourse with the victim who was 12. V had consented to it, and D reasonably believed that V was over 13. D was charged with a section 5 offence to which he appealed, his appeal was dismissed by the House of Lords as the issues of consent and D s belief in V s age are irrelevant to the offence. 2. Assault of a child under 13 by penetration This offence comes under section 6 of the SOA 2003 and states that a person commits an offence if he intentionally penetrates the vagina or anus of another person under the age of 13 in a sexual manner. This section mirrors the section 2 offence, however, this offence does not require the victim to lack consent to penetration or for the defendant to lack a belief in the victims consent which means that D will be held liable for the offence if he sexually penetrates V who is under the age of 13 in the proscribed manner. ... • 23. Phantom of the Opera Review Phantom of the Opera is the longest running musical to date and has become one of the most beloved and well known musicals on Broadway. The musical was inspired and loosely based on the characters and the story of the book Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. This CD is the original London cast which means that this recording is with the first cast that ever preformed the musical with the actors that created the parts. The musical was written and composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is one of the most famous musical composers and has composed some of the most well loved musicals of the last fifty years. Webber created incredible and emotional music for Phantom of the Opera that set this musical apart from all the others. One thing that makes Phantom of the Opera a unique musical experience is because it does not try to fit into one genre and does not try to be too modern. This makes it unique because most of today s musicals are trying to be more pop culture. The Phantom of the Opera manages to stay in the time period where the story takes place but weaves in modern comedy and rock music. The most obvious way that this is done is with the main theme of the musical. The pounding of the organ is one of the most well known themes in musical theatre and it is reminiscent of rock music with the guitar but it is different than rock because it is an organ not a guitar. If you disrespect me, I become uncontrollable, because my only method of communication is through deleterious speech that only escalates the situation further. I am the angry black woman. We see this horrific stereotype almost every day on television and very seldom notice it, because we get lost in the entertainment of it. The Angry Black Woman stereotype is harmful to black women, young and old, because it shows us in a negative light and can control how other and how we see ourselves. When women get angry, it s often blamed dismissively on their monthly menstrual cycle. But imagine just how infuriating it would be if all of your negative emotions were blamed on your year round skin tone. The stereotype of the angry black woman is a prime example of how these categorizations function as social control mechanisms. Media constantly use this stereotype of the angry black woman as rude, stubborn, and most of all angry. Though we all know that most movies are fictional, they are harmful because they can demonstrate different real life personalities. The Angry Train scene in Why Did I Get Married, displays this stereotype. In this scene, we see Angela, Marcus wife confront her husband about his baby mama looking at her crazy. Symbolism In The Open Boat By Stephen Crane Undoubtedly, Stephen Crane s Open Boat is regarded as one of the finest and most intriguing short story written by an author with a naturalistic point of view or perspective. Stephen sets up the story based on his real life experience thereby bringing out the intrinsic reality to his audience using symbolism, poetry, and imagery. Perhaps the most intriguing naturalistic approach of the Open Boat is the way Stephen expresses the themes in the short story with an ironic twist regarding the vastness of the universe and the insignificance of man. As such, Stephen Crane s short story, The Open Boat, is a true depiction of the tag of war between the unpredictable cosmic universe and man exposing the themes of determination for survival, mortality, friendship, with an exquisite touch of other devices such as poetry, symbolism or imagery, and tone. This paper aims at dissecting this subject matter through a detailed analysis of the plot created throughout the novel. Since the story is based on the true life experience of Stephen Crane, the setting of the story, therefore, is determined by the actual event off the coast of Florida. As mentioned in the story, the setting area of the story is the Mosquito Inlet. Based on the occurrence of the real event, the story is contextualized within the period of January 1897 (enotes 7).
