College Is A Great Feeder School For Brigham Young University
University or Community College.
Ever since I can remember my parents told me that college was key to being successful in life. If you didn t attend a
good college your life was most likely not going to be a very happy one. This message has stayed with me
throughout my life , education was of great importance and college was the key factor of where you ended up in life.
High school counselors, teachers, parents, and mentors all emphasized that the better the college you attend the more
opportunities you ll have. When I was a high school senior and had to think seriously about the future, I applied for
many schools and landed at Utah Valley University, a great feeder school for Brigham Young University. I attended
Utah Valley University for 1 semester, following Utah Valley I attend a community college instead, Coastline
Community College. I have so far been enrolled at coastline for about a month and can see the likenesses and the
differences between the university life and the community college life. I can see no college is alike, and that doesn t
mean one college is better than another. It took transferring to a community college to see that not even a university
is better than a community college.
Utah Valley University and Coastline Community College, weren t the same type of college, but actually had quite a
bit of similarities in many aspects. One of these very noticeable aspects, is the teaching staff at the colleges. Both of
the colleges had teachers that

The Russian Government And Computer Files At Any Given...
How would you like it if someone had access to your personal computer files at any given moment? What if your
personal files were posted all around the world on television, magazines, newspapers, etc. without your permission?
How would this possible you ask? Easy, the Russian Government sent Google an email asking them for access to
your cloud storage. Google gave it to them with no questions. Everything is ok though because Google sent you an
email saying the Russian Government was investigating something and needed your account. Would you feel better
if they asked you before they took your files? Most people would not be ok with this situation. A person s personal
files should remain personal, unless officially asked by their home government to comply. The year is 2025. You are
driving home and a notification pops up on your cars dashboard. Photos had been copied out of your personal cloud
as part of an official international government investigation by Russia. You immediately look through your cell
phone to call your husband. The phone rings, no answer. You are thinking to yourself what is this, what is going on?
You are thinking of every option possible to solve this, and then you think of your best friend Alice. Alice s husband
is a lawyer, you forget what kind, but maybe he can help. You ring up Alice, she answers. You tell her about the
notice you received and you forwarded it to her. Alice is just as confused as you are, she puts the phone on speaker

PERIOD THE CHAMPIONS OF RENAISANCE HUMANISM RENAISANCE HUMANISM AND THE
REFORMATION EVALUATION AND CONCLUSION BRIEF INTRODUCTION In the history of the world,
many remarkable periods have been referred to most often due to perhaps great events that have led to a turn around
in the thoughts and general lives of the people. One of such periods is the renaissance humanism. The renaissance
humanism is a term used to designate a period in history that is so spectacular and significant owing to its
evolutionary of features. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We could then say that what prepared the ground for the renaissance humanism was mainly from the church and the
fruits of the renaissance period which led to the reformation fell back to the church also. Therefore, we could say that
the renaissance humanism started when the literary world and the world of arts was so charged. At the same time the
church was leading but her great strides were infiltrated or became mixed with pagan/ Greek values that were
seemingly unacceptable. Thus, the European world saw the reason to question the church s consistency in the
religious matters and the absolute attribute of things to God or religion. THE CHAMPIONS OF RENAISSANCE
HUMANISM The earliest humanists were Dante Della Mirandola, Lorenzo Valla and Coluccio Salutati. But after the
fall of Constantinople in 1453, many scholars went to Italy to research and go acquainted with many books together
with the knowledge of the Greek traditional arts. In the northern Europe we fin people like Desiderius Erasmus who
came up with the praise of the folly (1509). This depicts the moral essence of humanism. He preferred heartfelt
goodness to formalistic piety. We could also recall that the founder of the renaissance painting was Masaccio (1401
14280). Boccaccio (1313 1375 wrote the first sexual literature since the Late Latin writers. Nicholas Machiavelli
(1469 1527) really mocked honesty and integrity in politics in his writings as it is farfetched. However,

Analysis Of The Short Story The Seventh Man
There is no peace without forgiveness, a quote from Marianne Williamson. The short story, The Seventh Man by
Haruki Murakami tells the story of the seventh man, who as a young child lost a friend to a large wave caused by a
hurricane. He blames himself for K. s death and it haunts him in the form of night terrors for many years. The
seventh man eventually forgives himself, as he should. Although, some believe the narrator shouldn t forgive himself
as they see him as guilty. Simplistically, this isn t accurate, and it s as plain as day to see when the following are
taken into consideration; intention, situation, and response. To start off, the seventh man s intention plays a huge
deciding factor in if he was guilty of, objectively speaking, killing, or causing the death of, K. and consequently if he
should forgive himself or not. Take The Scarlet Ibis for example, a short story by James Hurst. The brother talks
about his want to kill his crippled brother Doodle from the very beginning and from then on he does nothing but
harm, manipulate, and push Doodle for years until he ultimately dies from the overexertion his brother forced upon
him. In contrast, for as long as the Seventh Man knew K. they were close, and the seventh man looked out for and
loved K. like a brother. Pertaining to his death, the seventh man had no control over the wave(s) and he in no way
deliberately decided to not save K.. He simply was unable to. The seventh man never intended to hurt K., muchless
cause his death, which whether or not he caused it or not is arguable in and of itself, being a prime reason of why he
should forgive himself. On the contrary, some may say that the the seventh man shouldn t forgive himself as he is
responsible for K. s death. The evidence that supports this claim is on page 138 as it reads, I told myself to run over
to K., grab hold of him, and get out of there. The explanation of the quote, forthrightly, being that the narrator could
ve saved K. but he chose not too. This leads to two main reasonings that support why the position that the seventh
man should forgive himself is stronger than the opposing argument. Them being; one, the seventh man s situation
and instinctive response in the moment, and

The Iranian Language Essay
Today the Iranian languages are spoken from Central Turkey, Syria and Iraq in the west to Pakistan and the western
edge of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China in the east. In the North, its outposts are Ossetic in the central
Caucasus and Yaghnobi and Tajik Persian in Tajikistan in Central Asia, while in the South they are bounded by the
Persian Gulf, except for the Kumzari enclave on the Masandam peninsula in Oman.
Historically, the New Iranian stage overlaps with the Islamization of Iranian speaking lands in the seventh century
CE. The Middle Iranian stage began in the third century BCE. The oldest stages go back to the beginning of the
second millennium BCE. The oldest physical document of Iranian is the Old Persian inscription by ... Show more

The later Iranians moved into and across the Iranian plateau, both carrying the new social structure with their
languages, with a lasting impact on the socio political structures of Iran and Afghanistan, and the subcontinent.
The Iranians on their part can probably be correlated with the subsequent so called Yaz I culture in the BMAC
complex, which reflects major cultural changes towards a more rural society after 1 500 BCE. They apparently
remained in Central Asia, and only by the end of the second millennium BCE began to spread over the Iranian
plateau. By the second half of the eighth century BCE, Iranian Median and Persian tribes (Mada and Parswa) had
already been long established among the original non Iranian speakers of the Zagros mountain ranges of Iranian
Kurdestan, according to the records of the Assyrian ruler Shalmaneser III (r. 858 824 BCE). Minorsky (1957: 78)
recognized that the name of the tiny village Qal a Paswe near Solduz in Kurdestan retains the memory of the Iranian
settlements (cf. also Zadok 200 1; 2002). The successors of the Parswa tribes who settled in the southwest of the
Iranian plateau created the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 558 330 BCE) which, beginning with the Sasanian period (224 6
5 1 CE) and thereafter, ultimately resulted in the dominance of Persian over the Iranian expanse.
While the Iranian plateau was increasingly Iranianized, the Iranian tribes known as Scythians by the Greek

Lord Byron And Childe Harold s Pilgrimage By Samuel Taylor...
If you want an inside glimpse into the man that Lord Byron was, all you need to do is pick up some of his prose. In
any of his pieces, there s a raw sense of emotion and vulnerability that no other Romantic shows. William Blake
wrote of nature and religion. William Wordsworth wrote of the beauty of nature and how it made him feel in
hindsight. Samuel Taylor Coleridge wrote of the supernatural and a sense of peace that eventually fades away. All of
those Romantic poets used a piece of their life in their works, whether large or small, but not to the extent that Lord
Byron did. The way that Byron pours his personal life into the prose without overtly putting himself in there, putting
in emotion and internal dialogue without being too ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another important part in Childe Harold s Pilgrimage, Byron unknowingly gives the first glimpse into what would
later be referred to as the Byronic Hero. The Byronic Hero is usually a man who is smart and cunning. He s
sophisticated, moody, and anti authority. He s an arrogant, cynical exile who knew himself the most unfit Of men to
heard with Man; with whom he held Little in common (lines 100 102) and engages in self destructive behavior
including sex, drugs, and alcohol. He was Proud though in desolation; which could find A life within itself, to
breathe without mankind (lines 107 108) which shows that the Byronic hero did not need anyone else. While this
describes most of Byron s characters, it also describes clichéd love interests in modern day teen novels and a classic
trope in film and television. By describing himself and drawing upon himself for inspiration, Byron created
something so iconic and unwavering that, very likely, will never die down. While Byron is himself the original
Byronic Hero, other Romantics did not follow his footsteps: a fever at the core, Fatal to him who bears, to all who
ever bore, (lines 377 378) most Byronic Heroes die relatively young, in a blaze of flames and rebellious greatness.
Blake and Wordsworth died at 70 and 80 years of age, respectively. Byron, however, died at the age of 36 fighting in

Developments in the Constuction of Aircrafts
Early design aircrafts were manufactured from many materials with poor properties that would develop problems in
the aircraft s life and performance. In early aircrafts, such as the Wright Flyer, were constructed from Stika spruce,
which is a natural type of fibrous composite material. This material gave the aircraft many issues, one of them being
fungal rot which then imposing a change in the design of aircraft material. This then brought the introduction of
other alternate materials; such as aluminium, which was a boost in aircraft performance and operational life. As the
evolvement of the aerospace industry reaches the 1970s, the use of composite materials has increased rapidly. By this
time, other materials were introduced to the development of an efficient aircraft such as steel and titanium.
Composite materials are defined as materials that are created from two or more components with considerably
different chemical or physical properties. They are designed in such a way, that when combined together, can
produce materials with characteristics completely different from the component being as an individual. The new
materials may be used and desired due to its positive reasons such as: Stronger material Lighter weight And also less
in costs when compared to the previous traditional material As mentioned above, composite materials are now being
used in a wide range in the Aircraft Industry. They have now allowed the engineers to design and overcome difficult

Effects Of Imperialism On The Indian Economy
Effects of Imperialism to the Indian Economy In 2015 India was ranked among the highest countries globally in
consumer confidence, this comes after the International Monetary Fund estimated an economic growth of up to 7%
annually for the next decade in India. But this hasn t always been the case, in fact, it wasn t so long ago that India
was simply another colonized nation around the world, not to mention it s usually rare to see this kind of economic
growth in such a small period of time. The Effects of globalization, with an emphasis on open trade networks, and
the Imperial developments of the late 19th century have led to the emergence and rise of India s market based
economy. This growth has been affected in a very positive way over a span of centuries by a combination of stronger
economic developments brought about by a massive increase in the countries labor force and the emphasis on
education and self governance. An exposure to both the Western economic systems during the imperial age until their
independence in 1947 and their subsequent involvement in the Asian, Middle Eastern and African trade routes from
the late 15th century placed India in an economic equilibrium where they were able to benefit from both worlds and
become one of the fastest growing economies. The global economic depression of the 1930 s combined with the two
world wars was crucial in establishing early seeds of economic development in India. During the global

Reflective Essay On Spiritual Disciplines
Throughout the semester I have developed an understanding for the spiritual disciplines; silence, solitude, and
Sabbath; which has taught me how to live an intention Christ centered life. The disciplines have not only helped my
personal daily life, but they have also helped me better understand Christ himself. I can, without a doubt, say that I
know that God gave us the gifts of spiritual disciplines to help guide us in the crazy culture we live in. I have gained
a new appreciation for the maker of our world as He has gone out of His way to love on us, and all He asks us in
return to practice disciplines and grow closer to him. The disciplines have have taught me that seeking God is about
more than just saying a prayer before bed. Instead, it is practicing the disciplines and seeing His faithfulness through
the actions. My practice of silence has taught me that the world is a loud place full of so many distractions. This
specific practice has helped me seek God, in a deep way, by committing to listening to him in silence rather than
wondering why I could never here him in the midst of the crowds. My practice of solitude has become a sort of Bible
study time for me. A time to be alone and remember all the good our King has done and will continue to do for us.
My practice of Sabbath has helped me start of each week with a positive outlook. Surprisingly it has also given me a
deeper understanding of academics as well as it forces me to get my homework done before my day of

Abstract Software testing is an expensive and a standout amongst the most repetitive techniques in software

With the increasing use of mobile technologies testing has to keep up with the complexities. Automation is the
efficient solution to this challenge, as it not only reduces the cost of entire process but also makes it quicker and
efficient. This paper focuses on the need for automating testing for mobile technologies and also highlight the
challenges involved in implementation. This paper details about the automation tool Appium which will give an
insight in avoiding the challenges.
Most of the tools available for automating testing for desktops like calabash, KIF require an additional agent that
needed to be compiled with application code as the tool cannot interact with the mobile application without those
agent. For agents like these, libraries associated with them had to be removed at the time of submitting the app.
Whereas Appium on the other hand doesn t need any such sort of extra agents to be included in the original code
there by completely changing the testing process in a much efficient way.
Appium has improved significantly over the time and constantly added up with new features. It has three main
components Appium server, Doctor and Inspector.
Manual vs Automation
In my view here is how manual testing is different form automation, no programming can be done to write test cases
in manual testing , where as in automation, testers can write the programs to identify hidden bugs and other missing
information. Manual testing

The most important thing financial advisors have to do is earn the trust of their clients ( Career Opportunities ). What
they do everyday is this: Dave Spano says that the first thing he does is check his calendar for the day. His day
usually consists of three meetings. In those meetings they review people s financial plans and investment portfolios.
The rest of the day usually consists of communication with employees, clients, and others via email, phone, and face
to face meetings . Dave Spano also says some skill s a financial planner needs is to be really good at math,
understanding pre algebra and being a good communicator. Dave Spano says the workplace is fun, open, and has lots
of activity (Spano). The first thing you should do when you are in the financial planning process is to assemble
information, then you should organize your financial goals and objectives, then you should process and analyze the
information, then you should advise a plan, then you should start the plan, then finally, you should keep watching the
plan and making sure it is doing fine (Curley). The workplace is always fun for a financial advisor.
If a person thinks about their career, they will think something like this. An advantage to financial advising is that
you can feel good about helping people achieve their financial goals (Spano). I think this will feel very good because
it feels great to help people. A

Functions Of Immune Defense For The Elimination Of Pathogens
Yahya Bello
Chemokine receptor CXCR3 mediates gene transcription
Introduction
The invasion of microorganisms constantly threatened many organisms and it has evolved systems of immune
defense for the elimination of pathogens in the body (Shizuo Akira1, 2006). Innate and adaptive immunity are two
branches that are comprised in the immune system (Shizuo Akira1, 2006). The innate immune system is the first line
of the defense against pathogens and it is mediated by phagocytes, which includes macrophages and dendritic cells
(DC). Adaptive immunity involved in the elimination of pathogens in the late phase of infection as well as the
generation of immunological memory (Shizuo Akira1, 2006). This type of immunity is characterized by specificity
and develops by clonal selection from a vast range of lymphocytes bearing antigen specific receptors that are
produced through a mechanism that is generally known as gene rearrangement. The innate immune response is not
entirely specific, but it was rather able to discriminate between self and a variety of pathogens (Shizuo Akira1,
2006). The innate immune system identifies microorganisms through a limited number of germline encoded pattern
recognition receptors (PRRs). This is large varieties of rearranged receptors utilized by the adaptive system. PRRs
identify microbial components known as pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and they are important for
the survival of the microorganism and are therefore difficult for the

programs may suffer. Outcomes evaluation is often described first by looking at its basic components. Outcomes
evaluation looks at programs as systems that have inputs, activities/processes, outputs and outcomes this system s
view is useful in examining any program! * Inputs
These are materials and resources that the program uses in its activities, or processes, to serve clients, equipment,
staff, volunteers, facilities, money, etc. These are often easy to identify and many of the inputs seem common to
many organizations and programs. * Activities
These are the activities, or processes, that the program undertakes with/to the client in order to meet the clients
needs, for example, teaching, counseling, sheltering, feeding, clothing, etc. Note that when identifying the activities
in a program, the focus is still pretty much on the organization or program itself, and still is not so much on actual

While in college he organized Disco Dandiya in his own locality first of its kind in south Mumbai. It was first
popular trend that he picked on early and was able to capitalize on it. So as one grows and starts to learn and
understand life, he starts to question as well. At a very early stage, one starts creating mental models to interpret
various observations. At that point if one finds that what he has learnt on his own is different from what is being
practiced in reality. He tries to distinguish the right from the wrong. He soon starts to seek answer to everything and
then life transforms. So attitude of questioning is very important. Until one questions the establish way of doing

Analysis Of Hide And Seek
Hide and Seek was written by Jakayla Towey. It is a horror story surrounding the ever changing life of Emily. I
would recommend this read to those who are interested in psychological horror. Its development around the game
Hide and Seek and the state of being completely insane is very intriguing and will leave most thinking. The story
won wattpad s Watty Award in 2016 for best horror. The story never heads in an expected direction and always keeps
you on your toes anticipating the next event.
The story begins with a lighthearted game of hide and seek between emily, our main character, Caleb, Emily s little
brother, and Abby, her best friend. Hide and seek is emily s favorite game and plays an important role in the story

sirens outside of her home and police shouting come out of the house . Frightened she hides under her bed hoping
that caleb and her family have done the same. Later, in a police car, emile sees the police take two men and two body
bags out of the house. Emily, while expecting her parents to walk out, soon realizes why her parents aren t walking

rental units make up at least 68 percent of the cities residents. Leaving them with little to no private yard space to
accomodate pet owners needs. Also they state that lack of exercise and socialization negatively effects dogs. The
second passage No Dog Park for Muscatine , is clearly against having a dog park in the community. Their opinion is
that it is a waste of tax payer money and they should not be forced to pay for it. It is also believed that it would cause

The importance of safe and quality health care in today s society must take into consideration the patients
perceptions and requirements. Showing your clients dignity is absolutely necessary to gain their trust and give them
comfort. Respecting patients specific needs, moral values and individual preferences is key in providing the best
possible care. Encouraging and teaching the patients themselves to play a role in the management of their own
health, rehabilitation or ongoing treatment can produce beneficial results. Another significant element is
communication, and openly sharing medical information with the patient and their family allows them to stay
informed and have knowledge about what is happening. These principles are structured strongly on evidence based
practice, but must be morally correct also. Cohering to the evidence based practice helps to eliminate the safety risks
for the patient and the nurse. By establishing high ethical standards and combining this with evidence based practice
we are working towards providing an exceptional service to our consumer.
Nursing codes of ethics, both locally and globally, translate to a moral responsibility to nurture the overall health of
those needing or receiving healthcare. Patient advocacy for healthcare workers to deal effectively with ethical issues
they encounter on a day to day basis must be able to identify the most

Clinical Signs Of Bvdv Infection
Laboratory diagnosis The clinical signs of BVDV infection are highly variable and there are many factors that affect
severity of infection like viral strain, age of affected animals, immune status, reproductive stage and mixed infection.
Therefore, diagnosis based on history, clinical signs and postmortem examination should be considered only as
preliminary diagnosis. The accurate and confirmatory diagnosis of BVDV infection depends only on laboratory
diagnosis. 1 Virus isolation BVDV isolation in cell culture, followed by identification, is considered as the most
reliable method for diagnosis. Many different clinical samples are suitable for BVDV isolation during the viremia
stage as nasal discharges, peripheral blood leukocytes, serum, semen, aborted fetuses and feces. However, presence
of maternal antibodies in serum and buffy coat samples from newly born animals may neutralize the virus and
decrease the sensitivity of virus isolation. Virus isolation methods are labor intensive and may take several weeks.
Furthermore, virus isolation cannot differentiate between PI animals and transiently infected animals. The FBS used
as supplement for propagation of cell lines should be tested for BVDV contamination before usage to avoid false
positive results. Dubovi et al. 2013 stated that there are many factors that may affect the success in BVDV isolation
and discussed the misconception that BVDV isolation is the gold standard for diagnosis. Some of those factors are

Let there be light, Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of
the earth. Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear. Let the land sprout
with vegetation every sort of seed bearing plant, and trees that grow seed bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce
the kinds of plants and trees from which they came. Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night.
Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years. Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth. Let the
waters swarm with fish and other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind. Be fruitful and multiply. Let
the fish fill the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth. Let the earth produce every sort of animal, each
producing offspring of the same kind livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground, and wild animals. Let us
make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the
livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground. Be fruitful and

Taking a Closer Look at a CPU
Although many people are computer nerds; many people do not know what a CPU is; or what it does. A computer
has many parts that make up the hardware, and the software; enabling it to function correctly. One of the main
components that a computer needs to work is a Central Processing Unit also known as the microprocessor. The
central processing unit includes all the computers main parts, and is the basic part of the computer. The CPU is
responsible for executing out tasks, and running the software. The software runs on programs that are translated into
number codes made up of 1s and 0s that the central processing unit can understand. Each code that is executed
means a certain operation should take place. A CPU serves for four functions; Fetch, Decode, Execute, and write
back these functions are the four primary ones. Other functions that follow are the Arithmetic and logic unit, as well
as the Memory access.
In the first step of dealing with a CPU the fetch function is up first. The fetch function involves retrieving
information that it needs to run from the program memory, and basically giving it instructions which is put in by a
number of a whole line of them from the memory. Wherever the memory may be is determined by the (PC) which is
also known as the program counter. The PC stores a number that can keep track of the current place in the program.
When the instruction is fetched the Program Counter is then inputted by the length of the instruction in word terms

The Degradation Of Earth s Skin
John Vang
Professor McKay
GEO 1021
The Degradation of Earth s Skin
Earth s skin, the very flesh of this planet, is slowly degrading due to human impact; this result is desertification.
According to our book, Discovering Physical Geography, desertification is the process through which a formerly
vegetated landscape gradually becomes desert like (Page number). The process of desertification is an ongoing issue
that has inflicted major harm to landscapes all around the globe. Amongst the many that has degraded the land,
consequences have been paid dearly. In this paper, I will review the causes, effect, and spread of desertification
throughout the World. (TOO BROAD) To get us going, I will explain the many factors that has set ... Show more

The Great Plains is now a barren wasteland. The cause for vegetation removal, such as in the Great Plains, vary upon
many factors.
Alone or in combination, the removal of vegetation can be caused by overgrazing, deforestation, unsustainable
farming practices, inappropriate irrigation practices that leads to salinity, and much more. These causes are in turn
associated with a wide range of other problems, thus speeding the process of desertification. Some include: drought,
climate shifts, growing populations, poverty, inadequate infrastructure, and inappropriate technologies (oasisglobal).
I will explain a few of these problems and their association with desertification.
Depending on how it is managed, agriculture can play a positive or negative role on the landscape. In the case of
unsustainable farming practices, the landscape is bound for a negative road. Such practices can include the use of
intense fire to promote nutrients for the crops. According to Green Facts, an organization that provides information
on Health and the Environment, the excessive use of intense fire can cause irreversible changes in ecological
processes, and ultimately, to desertification. This in turn changes the soil organic matter, causes erosion, and changes
the habitat for many plant and animal species (GreenFacts). However, this is not the only human inducing practice
that has caused the lost of vegetation leading into desertification.

Persuasive Essay About Running
Running is a physically demanding sport. If you are looking for a way to get in shape, then you should consider
running. Running uses every muscle in your body because you are engaging every aspect of yourself in the activity.
Also, running is a great way to incorporate more cardio into your workout. Running is not just about getting in shape
and staying shape; but running involves many fun activities and sports.
Some sports that involve running are track and cross country. If you are a competitive individual, then you should
consider track or cross country. If you are a more laid back individual, then you can take into consideration mud runs
or glow/color runs. Those events are always fun, and you get dirty while participating in the event. Running is a
good way to get in shape and have fun doing so, but before you begin running, you need to know the basics of how
to begin.
The first step to begin running is to start with runs/walks. You will start by adding one minute of running for every
four minutes of walking. Gradually increase your running time, so that eventually you will be running for twice the
amount of time that you spend walking. Also, interval running is a good beginners workout. You start by jogging for
one minute, then walking for one minute, then you should increase the time by one minute each time until you are
running for five minutes and walking for five minutes. The technique you choose should be most comfortable to you.
However, you need to be

The Separation Of The Human Memory Process

individual parts that were required, to see how the human memory framework functions are essential cognitive
procedures, that makes us understand how we operate. A memory includes recalling and forgetting. Despite the fact
that these two are against each other by nature, they assume a vital part in the life of an individual. Recalling the
pleasant encounters makes living upbeat, and then again recollecting

Descartes Argument For The Existence Of Human Being
In his meditation II, concerning the nature of the human mind, Descartes aims to provide an argument for the
existence of human being. Since one knows that he/she is or exists, Descartes argues that this awareness of our own
existence must also contain the understanding of our true nature. By identifying the first item of knowledge that is
valid and certain Descartes derives the criteria for evaluating knowledge.
Assuming that the source of our knowledge cannot rely on the senses, Descartes makes an attempt to rebuild the
complex system of knowledge upon material he can find within the contents of his own mind. The Second
Meditation begins with an assumption that one is committed to suspect judgment with respect to anything which
contains any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He further states that if I know that I am, then I must also know what I am. Thereby he argues that an understanding
of my true nature must be contained implicitly in the content of my awareness. Since I became certain of my
existence by questioning the sensory information and the existence of a material world, none of the apparent features
of my human body can have been crucial for my understanding of myself. But all that is left is my thought itself, so
Descartes concluded that I am thing that thinks...thing that doubts, understands, affirms, denies, wills, refuses and
that also imagines and senses (Med. II, p. 537). In Descartes s terms, I am a substance whose inseparable attribute (or
entire essence) is thought (mind), with all its modes: doubting, willing, conceiving and believing. So completely I am
identified with my conscious awareness, Descartes claimed, that if I were to stop thinking altogether, it would follow
that I no longer existed at all. At this point, nothing else about human nature can be determined with such perfect

Organizational Performance ( Op ) Catches An Important...
Organizational performance (OP) catches an important element in case of empirical research in business policy.
Researchers often consider deliberately the performance of organizations on the basis of
Structure
Strategy and
Planning
Several researchers like Gregory et al. examined the following three most important frameworks that could be used
to conceptualize the organizational performance (OP).
Goal approach
System resource approach
Constituency approach
Under the goal approach, the organization sets a goal(s) that could be attained by incorporating the behavior of the
employees by definition accordingly. Under the system resource approach, the organization defines and sets an
interrelated total task implying the external and internal factors upon which the organization depends for its survival.
In the constituency approach, the organization looks for the opportunities for having the numerous constituencies
applicable for both in external and internal arena. It could be with the OP assessment focusing on the fulfillment of
the constituency needs.
Organizational performance covers three definite areas of firm results: (a) financial performance (profits, return on
assets, return on investment, etc.); (b) product market performance (sales, market share, etc.); and (c) shareholder
return (total shareholder return, economic value added, etc.) (Richard et al., 2009).
The researchers assessed the relationship between

The Controversy Of Seawater Banning
Our plan has the United States Department of Interior banning all commercial fishing in Marine Protected Areas, and
establishing and enforcing regulations for the recreational use of these areas. The practice of bottom trawling will be
banned in U.S. ocean fisheries. This plan will decrease the worry of losing all our fish in the sea. We are harvesting
more fish that can be replenished, so banning the practice of bottom trawling and other fishing practices in Marine
Protected Areas put fish like tuna in danger. The decrease in tuna cause the marine food chain to change thus causing
an abundance of smaller fish such as sardines and anchovies. Declines of top predators may cascade down food
webs, and the implications of these cascading processes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our plan of the United States Department of Interior banning all commercial fishing in Marine Protected Areas, and
establishing and enforcing regulations for the recreational use of these areas fits to the resolved. The program will be
run directly from the government as said from the plan. Our plan will be saving our nation approximately $250
million of discarded fish. The amount of fish we have wasted is breaking down. This plan will help to restore our
marine ecosystems so we are able to have another millennia of fish to eat. Our plan also will promote the
development of the Earth s oceans. According to Ocean Conservancy, Underwater parks, called marine protected
areas...allow fish to grow larger, stay healthier, and reach greater abundance and diversity. Fish thrive in these
areas...move to other parts of the ocean and replenish weaker populations...We people depend on healthy fish for
survival...Underwater parks hold up even in the face of disaster. our plan of increasing these marine protected areas
are crucial if we want to continue to live off of fish meat. Also, Callum Roberts says that Marine protected Areas can
allow recovery of species such as corals, sponges, sea squirts, and mollusks that create complex bottom structures
that blind the seabed and perform countless other vital roles such as filtering the water. the plan of expanding marine
protected areas will greatly develop the ocean and its

Taking a Look at Evolutionary Psychology
Evolutionary Psychology is a practice of social and natural sciences that studies human characteristics through the
lens of modern evolutionary theory. This is exactly what Dunbar and his colleges attempt to do with the family in
their book. The discussion of the family has to start with defining what parent involvement actually is. The authors
of the book Evolutionary Psychology use Robert Trivers definition from 1972 that states, any investment by the
parent in an individual offspring that increases the offspring s chance of surviving at the cost of parent s ability to
invest in other offspring . This means that if a parent of a individual uses any of their resources to help improve their
child s chance of survival, meaning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second circumstance for infanticide is if the child is born with severe disabilities or deformities for the simple
reason of is the child worth the investment. Is involved in a child s life who is going to require more of an investment
that an average child, and still highly unlikely to reproduce worth it? Twins are a similar circumstance. Parents have
the dilemma of possibly of not having adequate resources for both children at the same time. So infanticide could be
logical in this situation so the parents could invest heavily into one of the twins to help ensure the best opportunity
for the child throughout life as opposed to dividing the resources in half. This leads into the last circumstance, which
is just not having the adequate amount of resources to raise even a single child. This practice is exemplified to the
rate of aborted children or children sent to orphanages in young single women, or old married women who have had
several children prior. Also discussed is how unique the human family is. Human fathers are involved in their
children s lives more than any other species and humans are the only species where grandparents exist. The
explanation for these occurrences are that the human infant is so dependant that it needs the support of more than just
a mother, and even just the mother and father in some cases. The occurrence of grandparents can also be explained
by the phenomenon of menopause. The human

Determining The Unknown Concentration Of Cobalt (II) Solution
The goal of the experiment was to determine the unknown concentration of the provided Cobalt (II) solution by
using a spectrophotometer/colorimeter. The spectrophotometer was used on the unknown solution to find the
concentration of Cobalt (II). The concepts used from Beer Lambert s Law are the absorbance and concentration of
the tested solution. The equation is A=EbC. A equals absorbance, E is the constant when identifying the species
measuring the wavelength, b is the thickness of the solution, and C is the concentration of the solution. E and b are
both constant, which makes the concentration and the absorbance directly proportional. Results resembled the

Then we got then unknown Cobalt (II) solution and placed it in a cuvette to measure the light transmittance
recording it to three decimal places. Next, the unknown solution of Cobalt (II) was placed in a 100 mL beaker and
the DI water was placed in a smaller beaker to make transferring the solutions easier. For the process of transferring
each solution smoothly, a pipette will be used to place the unknown solution and DI water into the 10 mL graduated
cylinder. First, 100% of the unknown concentration should be placed in a test tube ready to be put in the
spectroscopy. Then, using a clean pipette fill the graduated cylinder with 9 mL of the unknown solution and fill the
rest with DI water using a different clean pipette until 10 mL is reached. The concentration solution is 90%, and 10%
is the DI water which makes the new mixture. The mixture that was just made will then be poured into a test tube
that is beside the 100% concentration of the unknown solution. The process will then be continued by pouring 8 mL
unknown solution and 2 mL of DI water into the 10 mL graduated cylinder to get 80% concentration solution; which
is poured in the test tube that will be placed by the 90% concentration test tube. Again, 7 mL of the unknown
solution will be placed in the graduated cylinder along with 3 mL of DI water, which makes 70% concentration
solution and 30% DI water. The solution will then be poured into a test tube and placed by the 80% concentration.
Then, 6 mL of Cobalt (II) unknown solution was placed with a pipette into the 10 mL graduated cylinder with 4 mL
of DI water. Which makes 60% of concentration solution and 40% DI water, and pour the new mixture into a test
tube and place it next to the 70% concentration solution. Take 50% of the unknown solution and place it in the 10

The Effects Of Gender On Depression And Depression
The Effects of Gender on Depression Men and women are biologically similar in regards to the hormones and
chemicals involved with depression. However socially, each gender encounters different social afflictions that can
often lead them into depressive states. In this essay, we will explore the common struggles that each gender
experiences and how these realities effect their contrasting developments of depression. One common cause of
depression that can be found no matter where you are in the world is poverty. In What s Behind the Gender Gap in
Depression , reporter Gretchen Cuda looks at how major depression is developed in both sexes, focusing mainly on
women and their day to day struggles with the illness. Being poor brings many types of stress, not the least of which
is a feeling of loss of control over your life. That, in turn, can lead to negativity, passivity and lack of self esteem and
all those feelings increase the risk of depression. (Cuda). Although Cuda focuses her report on women and
depression, poverty is a factor that can lead to depression no matter what gender. The importance of financial
stability and the stress that comes with worrying about money can take a toll on one s physical as well as
psychological health. Certain situations can occur in either gender but what occurs in the mind as well as methods of
coping are what make the risk of depression differ for males and females. Most studies show that women are more
likely to become depressed

  • 2. College Is A Great Feeder School For Brigham Young University University or Community College. Ever since I can remember my parents told me that college was key to being successful in life. If you didn t attend a good college your life was most likely not going to be a very happy one. This message has stayed with me throughout my life , education was of great importance and college was the key factor of where you ended up in life. High school counselors, teachers, parents, and mentors all emphasized that the better the college you attend the more opportunities you ll have. When I was a high school senior and had to think seriously about the future, I applied for many schools and landed at Utah Valley University, a great feeder school for Brigham Young University. I attended Utah Valley University for 1 semester, following Utah Valley I attend a community college instead, Coastline Community College. I have so far been enrolled at coastline for about a month and can see the likenesses and the differences between the university life and the community college life. I can see no college is alike, and that doesn t mean one college is better than another. It took transferring to a community college to see that not even a university is better than a community college. Utah Valley University and Coastline Community College, weren t the same type of college, but actually had quite a bit of similarities in many aspects. One of these very noticeable aspects, is the teaching staff at the colleges. Both of the colleges had teachers that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

THE CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF THE MAIN FEATURES OF THE RENAISANCE HUMANISM OUTLINE BRIEF INTRODUCTION RENAISANCE HUMANISM THE SIGNIF ICANT EVENTS IN THE RENAISANSE PERIOD THE CHAMPIONS OF RENAISANCE HUMANISM RENAISANCE HUMANISM AND THE REFORMATION EVALUATION AND CONCLUSION BRIEF INTRODUCTION In the history of the world, many remarkable periods have been referred to most often due to perhaps great events that have led to a turn around in the thoughts and general lives of the people. One of such periods is the renaissance humanism. The renaissance humanism is a term used to designate a period in history that is so spectacular and significant owing to its evolutionary of features. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We could then say that what prepared the ground for the renaissance humanism was mainly from the church and the fruits of the renaissance period which led to the reformation fell back to the church also. Therefore, we could say that the renaissance humanism started when the literary world and the world of arts was so charged. At the same time the church was leading but her great strides were infiltrated or became mixed with pagan/ Greek values that were seemingly unacceptable. Thus, the European world saw the reason to question the church s consistency in the religious matters and the absolute attribute of things to God or religion. THE CHAMPIONS OF RENAISSANCE HUMANISM The earliest humanists were Dante Della Mirandola, Lorenzo Valla and Coluccio Salutati. But after the fall of Constantinople in 1453, many scholars went to Italy to research and go acquainted with many books together with the knowledge of the Greek traditional arts. In the northern Europe we fin people like Desiderius Erasmus who came up with the praise of the folly (1509). This depicts the moral essence of humanism. He preferred heartfelt goodness to formalistic piety. We could also recall that the founder of the renaissance painting was Masaccio (1401 14280). Boccaccio (1313 1375 wrote the first sexual literature since the Late Latin writers. Nicholas Machiavelli (1469 1527) really mocked honesty and integrity in politics in his writings as it is farfetched. However, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Analysis Of The Short Story The Seventh Man There is no peace without forgiveness, a quote from Marianne Williamson. The short story, The Seventh Man by Haruki Murakami tells the story of the seventh man, who as a young child lost a friend to a large wave caused by a hurricane. He blames himself for K. s death and it haunts him in the form of night terrors for many years. The seventh man eventually forgives himself, as he should. Although, some believe the narrator shouldn t forgive himself as they see him as guilty. Simplistically, this isn t accurate, and it s as plain as day to see when the following are taken into consideration; intention, situation, and response. To start off, the seventh man s intention plays a huge deciding factor in if he was guilty of, objectively speaking, killing, or causing the death of, K. and consequently if he should forgive himself or not. Take The Scarlet Ibis for example, a short story by James Hurst. The brother talks about his want to kill his crippled brother Doodle from the very beginning and from then on he does nothing but harm, manipulate, and push Doodle for years until he ultimately dies from the overexertion his brother forced upon him. In contrast, for as long as the Seventh Man knew K. they were close, and the seventh man looked out for and loved K. like a brother. Pertaining to his death, the seventh man had no control over the wave(s) and he in no way deliberately decided to not save K.. He simply was unable to. The seventh man never intended to hurt K., muchless cause his death, which whether or not he caused it or not is arguable in and of itself, being a prime reason of why he should forgive himself. On the contrary, some may say that the the seventh man shouldn t forgive himself as he is responsible for K. s death. The evidence that supports this claim is on page 138 as it reads, I told myself to run over to K., grab hold of him, and get out of there. The explanation of the quote, forthrightly, being that the narrator could ve saved K. but he chose not too. This leads to two main reasonings that support why the position that the seventh man should forgive himself is stronger than the opposing argument. Them being; one, the seventh man s situation and instinctive response in the moment, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Iranian Language Essay Today the Iranian languages are spoken from Central Turkey, Syria and Iraq in the west to Pakistan and the western edge of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China in the east. In the North, its outposts are Ossetic in the central Caucasus and Yaghnobi and Tajik Persian in Tajikistan in Central Asia, while in the South they are bounded by the Persian Gulf, except for the Kumzari enclave on the Masandam peninsula in Oman. Historically, the New Iranian stage overlaps with the Islamization of Iranian speaking lands in the seventh century CE. The Middle Iranian stage began in the third century BCE. The oldest stages go back to the beginning of the second millennium BCE. The oldest physical document of Iranian is the Old Persian inscription by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The later Iranians moved into and across the Iranian plateau, both carrying the new social structure with their languages, with a lasting impact on the socio political structures of Iran and Afghanistan, and the subcontinent. The Iranians on their part can probably be correlated with the subsequent so called Yaz I culture in the BMAC complex, which reflects major cultural changes towards a more rural society after 1 500 BCE. They apparently remained in Central Asia, and only by the end of the second millennium BCE began to spread over the Iranian plateau. By the second half of the eighth century BCE, Iranian Median and Persian tribes (Mada and Parswa) had already been long established among the original non Iranian speakers of the Zagros mountain ranges of Iranian Kurdestan, according to the records of the Assyrian ruler Shalmaneser III (r. 858 824 BCE). Minorsky (1957: 78) recognized that the name of the tiny village Qal a Paswe near Solduz in Kurdestan retains the memory of the Iranian settlements (cf. also Zadok 200 1; 2002). The successors of the Parswa tribes who settled in the southwest of the Iranian plateau created the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 558 330 BCE) which, beginning with the Sasanian period (224 6 5 1 CE) and thereafter, ultimately resulted in the dominance of Persian over the Iranian expanse. • 9. Lord Byron And Childe Harold s Pilgrimage By Samuel Taylor... If you want an inside glimpse into the man that Lord Byron was, all you need to do is pick up some of his prose. In any of his pieces, there s a raw sense of emotion and vulnerability that no other Romantic shows. William Blake wrote of nature and religion. William Wordsworth wrote of the beauty of nature and how it made him feel in hindsight. Samuel Taylor Coleridge wrote of the supernatural and a sense of peace that eventually fades away. All of those Romantic poets used a piece of their life in their works, whether large or small, but not to the extent that Lord Byron did. The way that Byron pours his personal life into the prose without overtly putting himself in there, putting in emotion and internal dialogue without being too ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another important part in Childe Harold s Pilgrimage, Byron unknowingly gives the first glimpse into what would later be referred to as the Byronic Hero. The Byronic Hero is usually a man who is smart and cunning. He s sophisticated, moody, and anti authority. He s an arrogant, cynical exile who knew himself the most unfit Of men to heard with Man; with whom he held Little in common (lines 100 102) and engages in self destructive behavior including sex, drugs, and alcohol. He was Proud though in desolation; which could find A life within itself, to breathe without mankind (lines 107 108) which shows that the Byronic hero did not need anyone else. While this describes most of Byron s characters, it also describes clichéd love interests in modern day teen novels and a classic trope in film and television. By describing himself and drawing upon himself for inspiration, Byron created something so iconic and unwavering that, very likely, will never die down. While Byron is himself the original Byronic Hero, other Romantics did not follow his footsteps: a fever at the core, Fatal to him who bears, to all who ever bore, (lines 377 378) most Byronic Heroes die relatively young, in a blaze of flames and rebellious greatness. • 10. Developments in the Constuction of Aircrafts Early design aircrafts were manufactured from many materials with poor properties that would develop problems in the aircraft s life and performance. In early aircrafts, such as the Wright Flyer, were constructed from Stika spruce, which is a natural type of fibrous composite material. This material gave the aircraft many issues, one of them being fungal rot which then imposing a change in the design of aircraft material. This then brought the introduction of other alternate materials; such as aluminium, which was a boost in aircraft performance and operational life. As the evolvement of the aerospace industry reaches the 1970s, the use of composite materials has increased rapidly. By this time, other materials were introduced to the development of an efficient aircraft such as steel and titanium. Composite materials are defined as materials that are created from two or more components with considerably different chemical or physical properties. They are designed in such a way, that when combined together, can produce materials with characteristics completely different from the component being as an individual. The new materials may be used and desired due to its positive reasons such as: Stronger material Lighter weight And also less in costs when compared to the previous traditional material As mentioned above, composite materials are now being used in a wide range in the Aircraft Industry. Effects Of Imperialism On The Indian Economy Effects of Imperialism to the Indian Economy In 2015 India was ranked among the highest countries globally in consumer confidence, this comes after the International Monetary Fund estimated an economic growth of up to 7% annually for the next decade in India. But this hasn t always been the case, in fact, it wasn t so long ago that India was simply another colonized nation around the world, not to mention it s usually rare to see this kind of economic growth in such a small period of time. The Effects of globalization, with an emphasis on open trade networks, and the Imperial developments of the late 19th century have led to the emergence and rise of India s market based economy. This growth has been affected in a very positive way over a span of centuries by a combination of stronger economic developments brought about by a massive increase in the countries labor force and the emphasis on education and self governance. An exposure to both the Western economic systems during the imperial age until their independence in 1947 and their subsequent involvement in the Asian, Middle Eastern and African trade routes from the late 15th century placed India in an economic equilibrium where they were able to benefit from both worlds and become one of the fastest growing economies. The global economic depression of the 1930 s combined with the two world wars was crucial in establishing early seeds of economic development in India. During the global ... Reflective Essay On Spiritual Disciplines Throughout the semester I have developed an understanding for the spiritual disciplines; silence, solitude, and Sabbath; which has taught me how to live an intention Christ centered life. The disciplines have not only helped my personal daily life, but they have also helped me better understand Christ himself. I can, without a doubt, say that I know that God gave us the gifts of spiritual disciplines to help guide us in the crazy culture we live in. I have gained a new appreciation for the maker of our world as He has gone out of His way to love on us, and all He asks us in return to practice disciplines and grow closer to him. The disciplines have have taught me that seeking God is about more than just saying a prayer before bed. Instead, it is practicing the disciplines and seeing His faithfulness through the actions. My practice of silence has taught me that the world is a loud place full of so many distractions. This specific practice has helped me seek God, in a deep way, by committing to listening to him in silence rather than wondering why I could never here him in the midst of the crowds. My practice of solitude has become a sort of Bible study time for me. A time to be alone and remember all the good our King has done and will continue to do for us. Automation is the efficient solution to this challenge, as it not only reduces the cost of entire process but also makes it quicker and efficient. This paper focuses on the need for automating testing for mobile technologies and also highlight the challenges involved in implementation. This paper details about the automation tool Appium which will give an insight in avoiding the challenges. Most of the tools available for automating testing for desktops like calabash, KIF require an additional agent that needed to be compiled with application code as the tool cannot interact with the mobile application without those agent. For agents like these, libraries associated with them had to be removed at the time of submitting the app. Whereas Appium on the other hand doesn t need any such sort of extra agents to be included in the original code there by completely changing the testing process in a much efficient way. Appium has improved significantly over the time and constantly added up with new features. It has three main components Appium server, Doctor and Inspector. Manual vs Automation In my view here is how manual testing is different form automation, no programming can be done to write test cases in manual testing , where as in automation, testers can write the programs to identify hidden bugs and other missing information. Functions Of Immune Defense For The Elimination Of Pathogens Yahya Bello Chemokine receptor CXCR3 mediates gene transcription Introduction The invasion of microorganisms constantly threatened many organisms and it has evolved systems of immune defense for the elimination of pathogens in the body (Shizuo Akira1, 2006). Innate and adaptive immunity are two branches that are comprised in the immune system (Shizuo Akira1, 2006). The innate immune system is the first line of the defense against pathogens and it is mediated by phagocytes, which includes macrophages and dendritic cells (DC). Adaptive immunity involved in the elimination of pathogens in the late phase of infection as well as the generation of immunological memory (Shizuo Akira1, 2006). This type of immunity is characterized by specificity and develops by clonal selection from a vast range of lymphocytes bearing antigen specific receptors that are produced through a mechanism that is generally known as gene rearrangement. The innate immune response is not entirely specific, but it was rather able to discriminate between self and a variety of pathogens (Shizuo Akira1, 2006). The innate immune system identifies microorganisms through a limited number of germline encoded pattern recognition receptors (PRRs). This is large varieties of rearranged receptors utilized by the adaptive system. PRRs identify microbial components known as pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and they are important for the survival of the microorganism and are therefore difficult for the ... Clinical Signs Of Bvdv Infection Laboratory diagnosis The clinical signs of BVDV infection are highly variable and there are many factors that affect severity of infection like viral strain, age of affected animals, immune status, reproductive stage and mixed infection. Therefore, diagnosis based on history, clinical signs and postmortem examination should be considered only as preliminary diagnosis. The accurate and confirmatory diagnosis of BVDV infection depends only on laboratory diagnosis. 1 Virus isolation BVDV isolation in cell culture, followed by identification, is considered as the most reliable method for diagnosis. Many different clinical samples are suitable for BVDV isolation during the viremia stage as nasal discharges, peripheral blood leukocytes, serum, semen, aborted fetuses and feces. However, presence of maternal antibodies in serum and buffy coat samples from newly born animals may neutralize the virus and decrease the sensitivity of virus isolation. Virus isolation methods are labor intensive and may take several weeks. Furthermore, virus isolation cannot differentiate between PI animals and transiently infected animals. The FBS used as supplement for propagation of cell lines should be tested for BVDV contamination before usage to avoid false positive results. Dubovi et al. 2013 stated that there are many factors that may affect the success in BVDV isolation and discussed the misconception that BVDV isolation is the gold standard for diagnosis. A computer has many parts that make up the hardware, and the software; enabling it to function correctly. One of the main components that a computer needs to work is a Central Processing Unit also known as the microprocessor. The central processing unit includes all the computers main parts, and is the basic part of the computer. The CPU is responsible for executing out tasks, and running the software. The software runs on programs that are translated into number codes made up of 1s and 0s that the central processing unit can understand. Each code that is executed means a certain operation should take place. A CPU serves for four functions; Fetch, Decode, Execute, and write back these functions are the four primary ones. Other functions that follow are the Arithmetic and logic unit, as well as the Memory access. In the first step of dealing with a CPU the fetch function is up first. The fetch function involves retrieving information that it needs to run from the program memory, and basically giving it instructions which is put in by a number of a whole line of them from the memory. Wherever the memory may be is determined by the (PC) which is also known as the program counter. The PC stores a number that can keep track of the current place in the program. Sitting in the basement with family makes him feel nervous. He purposely and consciously tries to work the tools he learned in rehab and visits his counselor and 12 step group daily. The need to separate the memory procedure into its individual parts that were required, to see how the human memory framework functions are essential cognitive procedures, that makes us understand how we operate. A memory includes recalling and forgetting. Despite the fact that these two are against each other by nature, they assume a vital part in the life of an individual. Recalling the pleasant encounters makes living upbeat, and then again recollecting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Descartes Argument For The Existence Of Human Being In his meditation II, concerning the nature of the human mind, Descartes aims to provide an argument for the existence of human being. Since one knows that he/she is or exists, Descartes argues that this awareness of our own existence must also contain the understanding of our true nature. By identifying the first item of knowledge that is valid and certain Descartes derives the criteria for evaluating knowledge. Assuming that the source of our knowledge cannot rely on the senses, Descartes makes an attempt to rebuild the complex system of knowledge upon material he can find within the contents of his own mind. The Second Meditation begins with an assumption that one is committed to suspect judgment with respect to anything which contains any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He further states that if I know that I am, then I must also know what I am. Thereby he argues that an understanding of my true nature must be contained implicitly in the content of my awareness. Since I became certain of my existence by questioning the sensory information and the existence of a material world, none of the apparent features of my human body can have been crucial for my understanding of myself. But all that is left is my thought itself, so Descartes concluded that I am thing that thinks...thing that doubts, understands, affirms, denies, wills, refuses and that also imagines and senses (Med. II, p. 537). In Descartes s terms, I am a substance whose inseparable attribute (or entire essence) is thought (mind), with all its modes: doubting, willing, conceiving and believing. So completely I am identified with my conscious awareness, Descartes claimed, that if I were to stop thinking altogether, it would follow that I no longer existed at all. At this point, nothing else about human nature can be determined with such perfect ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Organizational Performance ( Op ) Catches An Important... Organizational performance (OP) catches an important element in case of empirical research in business policy. Researchers often consider deliberately the performance of organizations on the basis of Structure Strategy and Planning Several researchers like Gregory et al. examined the following three most important frameworks that could be used to conceptualize the organizational performance (OP). Goal approach System resource approach Constituency approach Under the goal approach, the organization sets a goal(s) that could be attained by incorporating the behavior of the employees by definition accordingly. Under the system resource approach, the organization defines and sets an interrelated total task implying the external and internal factors upon which the organization depends for its survival. In the constituency approach, the organization looks for the opportunities for having the numerous constituencies applicable for both in external and internal arena. It could be with the OP assessment focusing on the fulfillment of the constituency needs. Organizational performance covers three definite areas of firm results: (a) financial performance (profits, return on assets, return on investment, etc.); (b) product market performance (sales, market share, etc.); and (c) shareholder return (total shareholder return, economic value added, etc.) (Richard et al., 2009). The researchers assessed the relationship between 1) Subjective and objective measures of return ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. The Controversy Of Seawater Banning Our plan has the United States Department of Interior banning all commercial fishing in Marine Protected Areas, and establishing and enforcing regulations for the recreational use of these areas. The practice of bottom trawling will be banned in U.S. ocean fisheries. This plan will decrease the worry of losing all our fish in the sea. We are harvesting more fish that can be replenished, so banning the practice of bottom trawling and other fishing practices in Marine Protected Areas put fish like tuna in danger. The decrease in tuna cause the marine food chain to change thus causing an abundance of smaller fish such as sardines and anchovies. Declines of top predators may cascade down food webs, and the implications of these cascading processes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our plan of the United States Department of Interior banning all commercial fishing in Marine Protected Areas, and establishing and enforcing regulations for the recreational use of these areas fits to the resolved. The program will be run directly from the government as said from the plan. Our plan will be saving our nation approximately $250 million of discarded fish. The amount of fish we have wasted is breaking down. This plan will help to restore our marine ecosystems so we are able to have another millennia of fish to eat. Our plan also will promote the development of the Earth s oceans. According to Ocean Conservancy, Underwater parks, called marine protected areas...allow fish to grow larger, stay healthier, and reach greater abundance and diversity. Fish thrive in these areas...move to other parts of the ocean and replenish weaker populations...We people depend on healthy fish for survival...Underwater parks hold up even in the face of disaster. our plan of increasing these marine protected areas are crucial if we want to continue to live off of fish meat. Also, Callum Roberts says that Marine protected Areas can allow recovery of species such as corals, sponges, sea squirts, and mollusks that create complex bottom structures that blind the seabed and perform countless other vital roles such as filtering the water. the plan of expanding marine protected areas will greatly develop the ocean and its ... • 35. Taking a Look at Evolutionary Psychology Evolutionary Psychology is a practice of social and natural sciences that studies human characteristics through the lens of modern evolutionary theory. This is exactly what Dunbar and his colleges attempt to do with the family in their book. The discussion of the family has to start with defining what parent involvement actually is. The authors of the book Evolutionary Psychology use Robert Trivers definition from 1972 that states, any investment by the parent in an individual offspring that increases the offspring s chance of surviving at the cost of parent s ability to invest in other offspring . This means that if a parent of a individual uses any of their resources to help improve their child s chance of survival, meaning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second circumstance for infanticide is if the child is born with severe disabilities or deformities for the simple reason of is the child worth the investment. Is involved in a child s life who is going to require more of an investment that an average child, and still highly unlikely to reproduce worth it? Twins are a similar circumstance. Parents have the dilemma of possibly of not having adequate resources for both children at the same time. So infanticide could be logical in this situation so the parents could invest heavily into one of the twins to help ensure the best opportunity for the child throughout life as opposed to dividing the resources in half. This leads into the last circumstance, which is just not having the adequate amount of resources to raise even a single child. This practice is exemplified to the rate of aborted children or children sent to orphanages in young single women, or old married women who have had several children prior. Also discussed is how unique the human family is. Human fathers are involved in their children s lives more than any other species and humans are the only species where grandparents exist. The explanation for these occurrences are that the human infant is so dependant that it needs the support of more than just a mother, and even just the mother and father in some cases. The occurrence of grandparents can also be explained by the phenomenon of menopause. The human ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Determining The Unknown Concentration Of Cobalt (II) Solution The goal of the experiment was to determine the unknown concentration of the provided Cobalt (II) solution by using a spectrophotometer/colorimeter. The spectrophotometer was used on the unknown solution to find the concentration of Cobalt (II). The concepts used from Beer Lambert s Law are the absorbance and concentration of the tested solution. The equation is A=EbC. A equals absorbance, E is the constant when identifying the species measuring the wavelength, b is the thickness of the solution, and C is the concentration of the solution. E and b are both constant, which makes the concentration and the absorbance directly proportional. Results resembled the standard curve and the connection of absorbance and concentration was used to estimate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Then we got then unknown Cobalt (II) solution and placed it in a cuvette to measure the light transmittance recording it to three decimal places. Next, the unknown solution of Cobalt (II) was placed in a 100 mL beaker and the DI water was placed in a smaller beaker to make transferring the solutions easier. For the process of transferring each solution smoothly, a pipette will be used to place the unknown solution and DI water into the 10 mL graduated cylinder. First, 100% of the unknown concentration should be placed in a test tube ready to be put in the spectroscopy. Then, using a clean pipette fill the graduated cylinder with 9 mL of the unknown solution and fill the rest with DI water using a different clean pipette until 10 mL is reached. The concentration solution is 90%, and 10% is the DI water which makes the new mixture. The mixture that was just made will then be poured into a test tube that is beside the 100% concentration of the unknown solution. The process will then be continued by pouring 8 mL unknown solution and 2 mL of DI water into the 10 mL graduated cylinder to get 80% concentration solution; which is poured in the test tube that will be placed by the 90% concentration test tube. Again, 7 mL of the unknown solution will be placed in the graduated cylinder along with 3 mL of DI water, which makes 70% concentration solution and 30% DI water. The solution will then be poured into a test tube and placed by the 80% concentration. Then, 6 mL of Cobalt (II) unknown solution was placed with a pipette into the 10 mL graduated cylinder with 4 mL of DI water. Which makes 60% of concentration solution and 40% DI water, and pour the new mixture into a test tube and place it next to the 70% concentration solution. • 37. The Effects Of Gender On Depression And Depression The Effects of Gender on Depression Men and women are biologically similar in regards to the hormones and chemicals involved with depression. However socially, each gender encounters different social afflictions that can often lead them into depressive states. In this essay, we will explore the common struggles that each gender experiences and how these realities effect their contrasting developments of depression. One common cause of depression that can be found no matter where you are in the world is poverty. In What s Behind the Gender Gap in Depression , reporter Gretchen Cuda looks at how major depression is developed in both sexes, focusing mainly on women and their day to day struggles with the illness. Being poor brings many types of stress, not the least of which is a feeling of loss of control over your life. That, in turn, can lead to negativity, passivity and lack of self esteem and all those feelings increase the risk of depression. (Cuda). Although Cuda focuses her report on women and depression, poverty is a factor that can lead to depression no matter what gender. The importance of financial stability and the stress that comes with worrying about money can take a toll on one s physical as well as psychological health. Certain situations can occur in either gender but what occurs in the mind as well as methods of coping are what make the risk of depression differ for males and females. Most studies show that women are more likely to become depressed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
