The
Reproductive
System
By: Olivia Johnson
Functions
Male
Males have two testis. they are
inside an internal sac like
structure called scrotum. Sperm
development can only occur in a
temperature lower than normal.
once sperm develop they move
to a tube called the sperm duct
and are stored. During storage
sperm change and develop the
ability to swim. They mix with a
liquid called salmen.

Female
About once a month an ovary
releases an egg. After an egg is
released it enters the fallopian tube.
Cilia (Short hair like structures.)
move the egg through the fallopian
tube to the uterus. The uterus is a
nurturing environment for a fertilised
eggs development. babies from the
zygote the to the embryo to the
fetus . Identical twins share the
same placenta. fraternal twins have
separate placenta.follicles relese
the hormones to help the oocytes
develop in the egg.

Interactions with other systems
The endocrine system
creates hormones
The muscular system
helps with the baby

•
•
Homeostasis
The reproductive system does not help in
maintaining homeostasis but is does insure
the survival of the human species
You could technically live without the
reproductive system as a person but as a
species without the reproductive system we
would go instinct
health and diseases
Nutritions, Environmental factors, drugs, and
alcohol are all huge parts in the fetal health.
With good environmental factors and nutrients
the baby will be born healthy.
Having too much alcohol and drugs could kill
the unborn baby.
Fun Facts
0-3 months the baby picks up his/her head
1½-4½ months the baby rolls over
4-9 months the baby sits without support
5-10½ months the baby stands with support
5-13 months the baby crawls
5-14½ months the baby walks with support
7-18 months the baby stands without support
8-16½ months the baby walks without support
