Step by step instructions to register for classes at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College

1. Register for Classes with
Schedule Builder

2. 1. Visit the College website www.nwtc.edu
2. Click “Current Students”

3. 3. Click “my.NWTC”

4. 4. Enter your student ID
5. Click “Continue”

5. 6. Enter your password
7. Click “Sign In” to log into the system

6. 8. Click “Academics”

7. 9. Click “My Program Courses” to locate classes required for your program. Be sure to
write down the 8-digit catalog number assigned to the course(s) you want to take (i.e.
10801136, class number for English Composition 1 (3 cr).

8. 10. Now that you have a list of catalog numbers you can use them to build a class schedule
in a new app! Click “Schedule Builder”, then click “Launch Schedule Builder”

9. 11. Select a Term
12. Click “Save and Continue”

10. 13. Select your preferred campus, instruction mode and sessions by clicking the “Change”
button next to each option
14. Click “Add Course” to search for classes with catalog numbers (refer to step 9)

11. 15. Enter the first catalog number on your list (without the dashes)
16. Click “Search”

12. 17. Click “Add Course”

13. 18. Repeat steps 15 – 17 until all of your selections are captured in the ‘Courses’ list
19. Click “Continue”

14. 20. Click “Add Break” to build breaks into your schedule – Schedule Builder will exclude
classes that conflict with your break times

15. 21. Name your break before you set start and end times (‘Work’ is used in this example)
Select the affected day(s) then click “Add Break”

16. 22. Repeat step 20 – 21 until you have all you are finished adding breaks
23. Click “Generate Schedules”

17. 24. Schedule Builder will give you a summary of your schedule options

18. 25. Scroll down the page and click “View 1” to scroll through the summary of options

19. 26. Choose the schedule that fits your needs best then click “Send to Shopping Cart”

20. 27. Click “OK” to log out of Schedule Builder

21. 28. Select a Term then click “Continue”

22. 29. Click “Proceed to Step 2 of 3”
30. On the pages that follow click “Finish Enrolling”, then “Accept Terms and Continue” to
complete the registration process
