Classroom Environment A general population third grade class was observed to further understand
the psychological aspect of teaching. The Title I school classroom observed has sixteen students,
eight girls and eight boys, and is almost entirely made up of students from a low socioeconomic

The graphic organizer allows students to inform their teacher what they know, what they want to
know, and what they learned. This was the only constructivism observed in the class. Due to time
constraints, the teacher does not have enough time to go more in depth with the students with the
concepts to evoke more meaningful learning. The students in this class could benefit from more
class discussions to elicit a better understanding of the subject matter. The worksheets that the
students work with have very little relevance in their lives, which only adds frustration to the
learning process. With time being the main reason that there is a lack of constructivism, the teacher
could look into alternative approaches. One approach that might work well in this classroom is
problem based learning. The students are inquisitive and innovative. Classroom distractions would
be lowered, and the students would be actively engaged in their learning.
Theories of Intelligence Howard Gardner s theory of multiple intelligence s (MI theory) is a
valuable resource for teachers, if they understood how they could apply this in the classroom
(Snowman McCown, 2012). In this class, there are multiple intelligences observed amongst the
students; however, there is minimal differentiated instruction to allow the students the best

My Design Will Be Built For Both Genders

Analysis Of The Book The First Thing
The first thing I noticed that was unique about the way the book was written was that the entire
novel takes place in just a single day. Woolf gives the reader so many details, seemingly ordinary
ones such as Clarissa going to buy flowers for her party, mending her dress, meeting old
acquaintances, etc. However, these everyday interactions (combined with the character s inner
thoughts) create a very clear and complex image of social class, the perception of time, loneliness
/being alone (not physically, but mentally because of self repression), and lastly, the devastating
effects of war (as shown by Septimus s mental condition).

She even admits that her and Miss. Kilman may have gotten along, but not in this world . Proving
just how important social class is.
Yet, while Clarissa follows the heavy class based system of British society, she also finds herself
limited by it. Forcing her to alter her identity to play the expected part in society and maintain
her social status/class. She admires Sally, and how she would voice her opinions and do things
her own way no matter what anyone else thought of her, in a way she envies her for having the
freedom she never had. There is a big gap between what Clarissa thinks and what she does/how
she allows people to perceive her. Even mentally stifling her own ideas that do not fit into the
role she is attempting to play. This leads directly into her feelings of loneliness because while
she interacts with a lot of people and is married, there is a distance between her true self and
everyone else. Throughout the book, the reader is given insight to how each character perceives
another vs. what they actually say out loud, if they say anything at all. This gives the reader the
ability to see this distance between everyone, even Clarissa s own husband is unable to tell her

Simone de Beauvoir s The Second Sex and Glaspell s Trifles. The connection of these text shows in
greater detail the impacts on overlooked harassment, oppressing women by discriminating aganist
them, oppressing them fundamentally and physically, causing a lack of identity among women.
The diverse and complex theme of feminism and oppression throughout history is shown in all
three text yet takes place in different geographic locations and time periods. A worldwide issue

In Woolf s A Room of One s Own, her use such prominent detail is used to emphasize to a male
reader exactly what her and other women went through during that era. To see and understand
the hardship of being a female during that time period. Illustrating what it is like to be treated
lesser than compared to a male. To be a woman during the 19th century you were never to be able
to do what men did. As a woman you followed the stereotypical aspect meaning if you were
married you stayed home to look after children while your husband went to work. Never making

The Ultra Beast Loop
At this point, I was still feeling good about making the cut off, I got to this point of the course
later than I expected, but I still had over an hour of time to make it less than two miles and figured
I would get it done.
What I wasn t aware of (most of the other Ultra Beast racers weren t either) is we had to do the
Ultra Beast loop on the front end of the back end of the Beast lap (hope that makes sense) and this
section of the course was about a mile up and down a mountain with a total of four additional

The course went in to a stream bed for a brief and very at times technical section and then made its
way out to the Z Wall , which was more challenging than typically as it was around 15.5 miles into
the course and we just spent the last few minutes in very cold running water. A very short distance
after the Z walls was the spear toss, which the hay targets where pretty beat up at this point and
what typically is a dead in the middle of the target stick for me fell out. Another very short
distance away was the next obstacle the Monkey Bars , which at least for me are way harder
than the ones used at Spartan America races. The course went back in the cold stream bed one
last time for a short distance and then came out just near the Slip Wall and just after the slip wall
