Muddy Waters. Waters was born on April 4, 1915 in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. His nickname was
McKinley Morganfield Muddy Waters and was raised by his grandmother in Clarksdale. Waters was
raised in the heart of the blues music which influenced his life in many ways. At the age of 13, Waters
worked at a farm and learned how to played the harmonica. Later, he learned how to play the guitar
and mastered the bottleneck style. He recorded folksong with the Library of Congress field collectors
which helped him gain experience in performing and also helped improve his vocal skills. Next, he
moved to Chicago during the middle of the war and performing at house parties or small taverns. He
made his first recording with Columbia Records but they were never published. After, he recorded
with Aristocrat later Chess Records which include I Can t Be Satisfied/I Feel Like Going Home . He
formed a country group and started to record the Delta Mississippi blues which include Hoochie
Coochie Man and Just To Be With You . In 1977, he signed with Blue Sky Records and produced four

by dragging the reader into this world of hideous stench. Perfume is unique as it creates a reality by

Harmful algal blooms (HABs) which were once a rarity in marine ecosystems are now reoccurring
events that devastate recreational areas to deep water ecosystems (Anderson et al., 2016). Specifically
for California sea lions (CSLs), HABs through bioaccumulation lead to domoic acid (DA) poisoning.
Domoic Acid is naturally occurring in algal blooms; however, due to anthropogenic influences and
climate change, the population of algal blooms that contain DA are increasing (Cook et al., 2016).

CSLs showing signs of DA poisoning at the Marine Mammal Center were sedated and studied using
MRI. Neuro radiologists viewed 34 brain scans taken and noted abnormalities in brain structure. The
severity of brain damage took into account the type of brain damage the mammal was exhibiting:
hippocampal atrophy, temporal horn enlargement, and parahippocampal atrophy, in addition to the
severity of each (Thomas, 2010). From this information, calculations were made to create a brain

Detecting the movement of DA up the food chain is a challenge. Models are currently used to predict
the number of animals affected by DA. These numbers depend heavily on being able to track and
study the animals as they move to different locations. How long an animal was in an area of HABs
and what that animal ate create a barrier in identifying how many animals have been affected and to

Gothic stories often display extreme landscapes, power struggles, and passionate characters, all of
which Mary Shelley includes in her novel Frankenstein. By including these in her writing, Shelley has
expanded her metaphors to help the reader gain extra knowledge about both of her main characters,
Victor Frankenstein and the Monster.

1992 President Barbie was created which led the way for the feminist that shape the future political
