In the book Garp is a writer and throughout the whole book you see bits and pieces of
Garp s work. A long piece was called The World According To Bensenhaver which
was a very crazy story to say the least. There was kidnappings, knives, blood, rape, so
much happened in only a few pages. Garp was very proud of the book he wrote and
was excited for it to be published. Everyone around him thoughtotherwise but that
didn t stop Garp from wanting his work published.
The world according to Bensenhaver was a very interesting story. At first I did not
quite understand that it was a story Garp had written and he was going to have
soon after published. I also did not quite like the story personally. I liked a few bits
and pieces but nothing reached out to me to keep my attention. You can tell

Of course us knowing his backstory and all about the accident and how he had lost

For a great period of time, the main source of authority in the early western world
was the Bible. People lived there lives according to the bible and followed Christian
tradition. Prior to the Enlightenment, believing in God in the West was like
believing in the sunrise; the answer to all the big questions of life was God (Wade).

The Broadway musical Bye Bye Birdie premiered in 1960 and continues to enjoy
popularity among various audiences. Written and composed by Lee Adams and
Charles Strouse, the musical fictionalizes the real life induction of rock and roll
idol Elvis Presley through the character of Conrad Birdie into the United States
Army. One important element of the musical s plot is the excitement of a group of
teenagers in a small Ohio town when they learn of the arrival of a rock star and the

Jochebed and Miriam
Jochebed and Miriam (Moses mother and sister respectively) showed a great deal of
courage when facing an edict from a powerful Pharaoh.
On the other hand, the Egyptian leader was not courageous. He had complete
control of the Hebrew slaves, and yet he feared them so much he ordered the death
of all newborn baby boys.
Into this chaos and turmoil, Moses is born. Desperate to save her son, Jochebed
kept him hidden. Every whimper from this baby must have brought fear into her
heart, but her faith kept her strong. She knew Moses was special and God had great
plans for him. Three months pass and this scared mother knew she must execute a
different plan to save her son s life.
Moses mother placed him in a basket (a tiny boat made of papyrus reeds and
waterproofed with tar) and positioned the basket strategically for safety. Miriam

High school feels like it goes on forever, but it is over in the blink of an eye. As a

took a lethal dose of crushed prescription sedatives to end his life. He was able to

Because her body was young and healthy, she was likely to physically stay alive for
a long time, but the cancer was eating her brain which would have caused her to
suffer in hospice care for months while her family watched her deteriorate slowly.
Even with palliative medication, she could develop morphine resistant pain and
lose her verbal, cognitive, and motor skills at any time. For her, that seemed like a
nightmare to put her family through. She wanted to live the rest of the life she had

patient with the means to end their life. There are compelling conclusions that argue
for and against PAD, but when they are weighed against each other the arguments to
legalize PAD by far outweigh the arguments against legalizing PAD. PAD should be
legalized.
