Tabor s Portrayal Of Jesus
The source that I am going to be using for my paper is Bart.D.Ehrman, Jesus: Apocalyptic Prophet of
the New Millennium with also using Tabor portrayal of Jesus book. I am going to be describing the
major difference Bart D.Ehrman, Jesus: Apocalyptic Prophet of the New Millenniums and Tabor
portrayal of Jesus throughout the book. I thought it was very interesting to see the different opinions
and how the scholar felt about certain things and what they believed was true. Not to mention that
some of their feelings that they felt and believed may not be true because we all have our questions of
the history of Jesus. I just want to mention in order to believe in something we need to have faith in
what we believe. There are many questions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The New Testament gospels are a twisted tale of political intrigue and religious power plays with
stakes destined to shape the future of the world s largest religion. (p.81) our New Testament gospels
contain historical material, the theological editing is a factor that the discerning reader must constantly
keep in mind. (pg.139). The gospel of Matthew implies that Isaiah s prophecy was fulfilled with the
amazing virgin birth of Jesus but the original text carries no meaning because it really had no meaning

The Importance Of The Nuremberg Code
At the Nuremberg medical trials, 23 doctors and scientists were tried as war criminals... Twelve
doctors were found guilty, and four were executed (Leaning 2). During World War Two German
doctors were experimenting on humans. Nuremberg Trials were being held as a cause of the human
experimentation. People were being experimented on without their consent to do so. There were 24
war criminal trials in Germany and 12 cases in the US. In affect The Nuremberg Code prevents
patients from being experimented on through informed consent.
The Nuremberg Code sets rules for doctor and patient assurance. To emphasize Nuremberg Code
demands that physicians obtain informed consent from each test subject (Hyder, Nuremberg Code 3).

In effect a person at anytime can choose not to be involved with an experiment. Also the Nuremberg
Code allows a person to act upon their belief of what is right for them.
The Nuremberg Code main objective is informed consent. To explain ...centrality of the doctrine of
informed consent to the Code...in the context of broader international human rights violations and
called for a permanent international court or tribunal to deal with crimes against humanity, such as
torture and atrocities, on an ongoing basis (Grodin 2). Thus if someone disrupts the rule of informed
consent they can be charged with pernicious crimes. In other words patients must make an informed
decision of being tested on after being told all of the effects of the experiment ( Hyder, Nuremberg
Code 3 ). Meaning people being tested on should know all of the positive and negative side effects of
the experiment. Patients should be fully informed on what the experiment is before starting it. Notably
Its informed consent requirement has become adopted by most medical associations codes of conduct
and has become enshrined in the laws and regulations on many nations ( Hyder, Nuremberg Code 3 ).
Accordingly many medical federations have taken in the concept of informed consent. It has also been

The War On Terrorism And The World Trade Center
The day that took thousands of innocent Americans lives, September 11th, 2001, will forever be
marked as an infamous day in American history. Four commercial airplanes were hijacked by an
unknown group of terrorists, as all four planes aimed to hit major buildings such as the World Trade
Center. Three of the four were successful as the fourth went down in a field in Western Pennsylvania.
President Bush pinned the al Qaeda, a Muslim extremist group led by Osama bin Laden, as the group
behind the terrorist attack. Since its charter, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) came together
for the first time since inception to participate in said war ( War on Terrorism ). Congress later
approved forty billion dollars worth of emergency ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
America s present global predominance does not render it immune from the danger of terrorism. To
the country, U.S. preeminence makes the American homeland more appealing as a target, while
America s openness and freedom also make it more vulnerable. ( War on Terrorism )
In just six years al Qaeda, Arabic for the base , and also the network of Osama bin Ladin, had
devolved from a regional threat to U.S. troops to a global threat. Al Qaeda was the group accused by
President George Bush who performed the terrorist attacks in 2001. Bin Ladin had expanded this
network by assembling a coalition of radical Islamic groups of varying nationalities to work toward
common goals. . ( War on Terrorism ) In order to assist its growth, al Qaeda now includes members of
factions of several major militant organizations such as Egypt s Islamic Al Jihad. Bin Ladin had been
indicted by a U.S. court several times as his network is connected to many acts of terrorism. The
Taliban, another radical group who ran much of Afghanistan is often compared to the al Qaeda. Since
1998 the Taliban group has been trying to disconnect themselves from al Qaeda. Contradictory,
Taliban officials have denied persistent requests from the United States to take down bin Ladin by
claiming that there is an inadequate amount of evidence to prove that he has been involved in anti
American terror acts ( War on Terrorism ). As

Informative Essay On Toilet Papers
Did you know that packaged toilet paper wasn t sold in the United States until 1857? And we didn t
get tissue rolls until the 1880s! Many people don t know this but Toilet Paper, a modern day household
staple, is a fairly new invention to the greater United States and prior to its invention our kin had to
make do with corncobs, leaves, hay and even snow or stones to clean up after the bathroom act.
Today, most people take toilet paper completely for granted until it runs out of course! In 1973
Tonight Show host Johnny Carson made a joke about toilet paper shortage that resulted in an actual
though temporary toilet paper shortage when several of his viewers, not seeing the joke in such a
scenario, went running out to buy up as much of it as

Abstract The aim of this experiment is to study how schemas affect the way you interpret a story.
Schemas are visual representation of previous knowledge that you have learned. Schemas can be
affected by social and cultural factors such as religious beliefs, morals, and expectations. This

Golf: A History Golf often makes people think of boring, old men walking around a huge green
course. This is not always the case. Many different people have been known to enjoy the game of golf.
Where golf came from is bound to surprise some people who think it is just for elderly people. Golf is
very interesting to learn about, including: the history, association s tournaments, women in golf, and
famous players. The history of golf is widely discussed and no one knows for sure where it came
from. It is said to have originated in early Roman eras. Though its origins are uncertain, many
countries have early records of the game. Women have always been excluded in most sports ... Show

The PGA was founded in 1916 and is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The PGA has
both men and women members.
The PGA Hall of Fame was established in Lake Park, Fla., in 1940. Ten years later a Ladies Golf Hall
of Fame was formed... Zaharias was the first woman named to all four halls of fame. Several states
have halls of fame to honor their native golfers. The Golf House is a library and museum of golf,
which was opened in 1951 at the USGA s headquarters in New York City but has been located in Far
Hills, N.J. since 1972. It features a large collection of books, trophies, and other mementos. (Golf

The Ladies Professional Golf Association is the same as the PGA, but for women. Several
professional tournaments for women were staged during the 1920s and 30s. It was not until the 1940s
that efforts began in earnest to form a professional golf organization for women. (The Ladies
Professional Golf Association 5 6) The first, the Women s Professional Golf Association (WPGA),
was created in 1944. Even the success of its players could not keep the WPGA going and it folded in
1949. The LPGA was incorporated in August 1950 by the old members of the WPGA and more.
Funding for LPGA tournaments was at first so poor that golfers had to perform many of the
organizational tasks and course maintenance chores. Soon, the introduction of the Weathervane series

US Intervention In Vietnam
To what extent was US military intervention in the Vietnam War justified? This paper will examine the
causes of the conflict and why the US got involved. The paper will inspect the US relationship and ties
with the different countries and parties involved in the conflict. The paper will also look at various US
policies, such as foreign policy and the containment of communism, and the public opinion of the war.
Effects of the war will also be looked at as a reference, but these effects will not be the focus of the
paper. Both secondary and primary sources will be utilized to provide context and obtain a clearer
understanding of the tension in the war.

The US did not want to help France reinstate colonial rule but at the same time knew that a Vietminh
victory would result in a loss of another area to communism (Gurtov 24). After France was defeated,
the US started to get directly involved and in the Geneva Conference, still wanted to explore more
military solutions (Messing 1309; Schulzinger 72). The Geneva Accords failed to keep the peace as
the US did not agree to its final declaration (Messing 1312). It is assumed that the United States is
bound by the Geneva accords and its actions should correspond with the accords (Messing 1320).
According to the US legal advisor, in this case the US actions are justifiable because North Vietnam
had broken the accords first; however, there is little evidence to support this claim and convincing
cases can be made that say the opposite (Messing 1321). Even if North Vietnam had broken the
accords first, the United Nations Charter article 2, paragraph 4, unlike traditional international law
makes such forcible self help an unlawful means of withholding compliance with an international
government (Messing 1321). While the US involvement in the war is legal to some extent, there is
enough evidence to cause debate in the other

Analysis Of The Poem Taps Upon The Grass
Taps upon the grass. We moved to Prairie Grove, May of 2007 from Fort Smith, Arkansas. It was a
beautiful day and even though the drive with a newborn and a traitor full of our belongings was
intense. The scenery was absolutely memorizing, little did we know or realize how many wonderful
things there were about this little town to explore. We had lived in Prairie Grove for a few years before
we started attending local events. It was a Friday afternoon and I was heading to the school to pick up
my oldest son Elliott from band practice and I noticed a lot of people setting up tents and walking
around in old settler clothes. Men in blue and gray suits, some were riding horses. Women in
petticoats and big bulky dresses. All walking around the Battlefield Park like this was something
normal that went on everyday. I m thinking, Ok, this town is kind of weird. Soon I started to learn the
history of the town we moved to, and all the intricate details surrounding the town of Prairie Grove.
Come to find out, Part of the Civil War battle was fought on the Prairie Grove Battlefield on
December 7, 1862. The Confederate Army under Major General Thomas C Hindman engaged the
Union Divisions of Brigadier General Francis J. Herron and James G. Blunt near Prairie Grove
Church. They were suppose to attack Blunt on Cane Hill but this plan was foiled by the untimely
arrival of two union divisions. The Hindman division

How Is Eric Harris Related To Columbine Shooting
Why did Eric and Dylan do it? What made the two even consider the columbine massacre? Dylan
Klebold was a depressant. He felt as if people in the school had left him out, as if he wasn t important
enough for them. Dylan killed because he was in the state of mind that he did not matter to anyone or
anything, as if he was useless and he wanted attention for once. He had succeeded at getting his
attention. Dylan was hotheaded, but depressive and suicidal. Dylan would have never pulled off the
Columbine massacre without Eric. Eric was not a depressive, like Dylan, that was for sure. (196) Eric
Harris was a psychopath. Eric found joy out of violence and didn t care who he hurt. He had no regrets
over hurting people. Eric was sweet faced and well spoken, like many other manipulative
psychopaths. Adults, and even most kids would describe Harris as nice. Harris was actually cold,
calculating, and homicidal. Harris was not merely a troubled kid, but psychiatrists say, he was a
psychopath. Harris has a private journal, it opened with I hate the f***ing world. Harris s hatred
supposedly led him to revenge. This all make look like hate in Eric s eyes, but really it was more
about demanding other people. Gray2 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Media Portrayal Of Islam Essay
The Media Portrayal of Islam
Islam is portrayed and is commonly accepted as the most violent and largest direct threat to the West.
This is a generalization made by most of the West, but it is not particularly the West or the Islamic
people s fault. There is constant turmoil in Islamic countries in the Middle East and these conflicts are
what make the news in the West. The only representation in the media that the Islamic nation gets is
that of war. Though most Islamic people are not violent, the select few that do participate in terrorist
groups give the rest of the Islam nation a bad image.
The news today has to do with what people want to hear, not particularly what is worth while or even
accurate. In the Daily ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The press has presented Islam within a certain emotional frame, and it has made the violence in the
Middle East seem like the main interaction between the West and Middle East.
Ever since the bombing of the World Trade Center on February 1993 the United States of America has
stepped up its commitment to stopping terrorism. The general public after the bombing also took a
new view on Islam, a negative one. The February 7 arrest of Ramzi Yousef made the world open its
eyes to Islamic terrorists. The FBI is even involved in terrorist investigations and it does not help the
image of the Islamic people that most wanted man by the United States of America is Usama Bin
Laden, a Saudi Arabian. He is the leader of the terrorist organization known as Al Qaeda, which is one
of the most active terrorist groups. His central issue is the United States presence in the Arabian
Peninsula and the military presence in his former homeland Saudi Arabia. Bin Laden made a
declaration in February 1999 in the name of his International Islamic Front for Jihad against Jews and
Crusaders. He stated that to kill Americans and their allies, both civil and military, is an individual
duty of every Muslim who is able, in any country where this is possible. These kinds of statements are
immediately taken by the Western media and given to the public. The public of course reacts with
anger and creates a bias against

Examples Of Animals In Animal Farm
In the novel, all social classes of animals are discontented because of the treatment they get from their
owner, Mr. Jones. On the farm, Jones sets them [the animals] to work to grow and gather the resources
on the farm. They also breed more animals, which are then taken away. Therefore, he gives back to
them the bare minimum that will prevent them from starving, and he keeps the rest for himself (8).
Jones cares about what he makes from the farm, meaning that the animals are not well cared for

Damodaran on Capital and Operating Leases
Dealing with Operating Leases in Valuation Aswath Damodaran Stern School of Business 44 West
Fourth Street New York, NY 10012 adamodar@stern.nyu.edu
Abstract
Most firm valuation models start with the after tax operating income as a measure of the operating
income on a firm and reduce it by the reinvestment rate to arrive at the free cash flow to the firm.
Implicitly, we assume that the operating expenses do not include any financing expenses (such as
interest expense on debt). While this assumption, for the most part, is true, there is a significant
exception. When a firm leases an asset, the accounting treatment of the expense depends upon whether
it is categorized as an operating or a capital lease. Operating lease expenses are ... Show more content

These leases are called combination leases. Accounting For Leases The effects of leasing an asset on
accounting statements will depend on how the lease is categorized by the Internal Revenue Service
(for tax purposes) and by generally accepted accounting standards (for measurement purposes). Since
leasing an asset rather than buying it substitutes lease payments as a tax deduction for the payments
that would have been claimed as tax deductions by the firm if had owned the asset (depreciation and
interest expenses on debt), the IRS is wary of lease arrangements designed purely to
speed up tax deductions. Some of the issues the IRS considers in deciding whether lease payments
are tax deductible include the following: Are the lease payments on the asset spread out over the life
of the asset or are they accelerated over a much shorter period? Can the lessee continue to use the
asset after the life of the lease at preferential rates or nominal amounts? Can the lessee buy the asset at
the end of the life of the lease at a price well below market? If lease payments are made over a period
much shorter than the asset s life and the lessee is allowed either to continue leasing the asset at a
nominal amount or to buy the asset at a price below market, the IRS may view

Follow Filial Piety In Confucianism
In the teachings of Confucius, there are concepts ranging from jūnzǐ to zhì, but the two key teachings
that are predominant in both Analects and Menzi readings are lǐ and xiào. Lǐ refers to having certain
rules to follow for proper behavior, while xiào refers to practicing filial piety with in ones family,
friends, and ruler. Furthermore, an example that shows lǐ is shown in Book Ten of the Analects,
showing how proper behavior has to be altered depending on the situation that one is in (Ivanhoe: 27).
Proper behavior has to be shown at all times, but there are distinct situations where more respectful
behavior is required. Overall, having rules for proper behavior keeps order within Confucius families,
rulers and essentially the universe. Having this proper behavior not only shows respect for others, but
it also shows how knowledgeable one is (Ivanhoe: 27).
Additionally, xiào is shown in the Analects by the way in which Book seventeen represents it. Analect
17.9 does not specifically talk about how to follow filial piety, but it provides an example on how
education will teach you how to follow filial piety (Ivanhoe: 44). Following filial piety in
Confucianism also keeps order in society, by assuring the people to respect their elders. This also
shows how everything is connected back to the family. Ancestors are very important with in the ...

therefore it should be followed (Menzi:

Human Differences Between Humans And Humans
research into the minds of dogs and humans has brought to light the similarities between the human
and canine brains. Examples include having a theory of mind, sentience, the possession of mirror
neurons, and the ability to generate emotions and respond emotionally. The origin of these similarities
have yet to be explained. One theory states that the similarities could have developed in both humans
and dogs, and then strengthened when dogs were domesticated and perfected their social functions in
order to adapt to a human dominated environment. Another theory is that pack behaviour in dogs is
similar enough to human social behaviour that dogs developed independently from humans, then
became domesticated because their behavior already aligned with that of with early humans. Some
evidence of that is the fact that humans and canines have occupied the same geographical regions for
hundreds of thousands of years. Our best estimate of dogs became domesticated is somewhere
between 14,700 and 36,000 years ago (Liane, Interdisciplinary investigations of the late glacial double
burial from Bonn Oberkassel). This paper will explore why humans and dogs started to live together,
whether humans and dogs developed their social cognitive abilities in together or separately, and when
dogs became cognitively distinct from wolves. For the vast majority of our existence humans have
lived in small hunter gatherer groups. Similarly, wolves live in small social groups or pairs. They also

American Kitefliers Research Paper
Did you know that there is something in the United States called the American Kitefliers Association?
And there s something called competitive stunt kiting. As you might expect, the people who compete

Richard Dermer. He is a pizza shop owner and kite collector. The walls of Dermer s pizza joint are
covered in kites from all over the world. That is impressive enough. But it s not his only
accomplishment. Dermer worked at Hideaways, one of the first pizza places in Oklahoma. It opened

He told Collectors Weekly: I was very much a novice, but I started learning. And the more we got into
going to kite festivals and collecting kites, the more I discovered and the deeper the subject became.
My kite book library now runs over a hundred volumes. I learn stuff new every time I go to an event.
And I think the kites out in the garage are multiplying when the lights are out. What does Dermer s
collection and hobby bring to the United States? It brings an international perspective and history on
kite flying. In India, for example, kite flying is a fierce. It is a sometimes violent sport. In Thailand,
kite battles reflect the war of the sexes between men and women. Kites were used in World War II.
They were used to distract German planes and for target practice. When Dermer started stunt kiting, it
was pretty new. All the kits were triangular, they all looked about the same. But soon, Dermer told
Collectors Weekly, that changed. In the 80s and 90s, kites went through quite a developmental phase
where they were getting better and better as new lighter, stronger materials were being developed.

Benjamin Franklin was a Political Hero in Sheila Kemp s...
Sheila Kemp did an outstanding job in her short history of one of America s most treasured arguably
the most looked up to political heroes. Whether the Cockpit had as astounding an effect on Franklin s
political career, and the defining moment that pushed him on the path as an advocate for independence
is up for argument. Did Kemp adequately protect her position: that Benjamin Franklin became a
revolutionary after his incident at the Cockpit? The questions seem to be answerable morally, as well
as historically. In truth, Kemp defended her position with as much armor as she could smith whilst
writing her definingly short biography, but sometimes lost her argument in midst of a flood of
historical information. Thus, in this review the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Kemp, Franklin was merely representing the wrong colony at the wrong time. And said
that, although events in Massachusetts put Franklin on the hot seat, there was an underlying reason for
Wedderburn s attacks. Some of which were inherent, for instance, the ideologies between American
Colonists and the British Elite were very much different than how Franklin imagined the Empire. He
believed that all colonists were grateful to be part of the Empire, and even went as far as to advocate
ill fated taxes to be introduced to the Colonies in an attempt to relieve some british debt. Furthermore,
to the british mind, taxes that were being legislated were perfectly within the Empire s right, and that
every time taxes became too overwhelming, British officials would back down against resistance.
Such was the case for the Stamp Act which was enacted in 1765 and repealed in 1766 after riots broke
out in the Colonies.
In the case of Franklin, exasperations also gave way to his eventual disenfranchisement of the Empire.
His own pride was destroyed at the cockpit that day, something Franklin was no stranger to and
definitely was unable to handle in a casual fashion. Thus, Kemp adamantly claims throughout her
work that Franklin saw his opposition to the Empire, as a personal and not entirely a political issue as
he once did. Kemp states, Franklin lived in a place where social status

The Protest Of The Francisco 49ers Quarterback Colin...
When you think of protests what do you think of? Most of the protests that people see on television
are a group of people marching in the streets. These protests can either be peaceful or harmful. San
Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick took a different approach. His protest was not in the
streets, it was on the football field. He kneels during the national anthem before games. Everyone has
their own thoughts on his protest, some agree, some do not agree with his protest. Colin Kaepernick s
form of protest is a very ineffective way of protest while disrespecting the people that represent and

Also, not standing for the national anthem is a legal form of peaceful protest, which is a First

that Colin was exercising his constitutional right to make a statement. I think there s a long history of
sports figures doing so (ProCon.org) Refusing to stand for the national anthem is disrespecting the
flag and every member of the armed forces. Celebrities and others have all chimed in and gave their
opinion on Colin s protest. One person to chime in and has a lot patriotism in her family history is
Carole Ishlam, she is one of the great great great granddaughters of Francis Scott Key, the writer of
the national anthem. It just blows my mind that somebody like Kaepernick would do what he does to
dishonor the flag of this country and the national anthem Ishlam said in an interview. She continued,
we have young men and women overseas fighting for this country, people that have died for this
country (ProCon.org) Even supporters of Kaepernick s message disagree with his actions. One of
these supporters is New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who said, It s an oxymoron that you

Their Eyes Were Watching God by Oprah Winfrey alters the novel s story line so much, that Zora
Neale Hurston herself is unable to recognize her own story. The novel is a great story about a young
woman finding herself, but the movie is made into a love story, which is not what the story was meant
to be. The strength in the Characters and their relationships have been changed from the novel, to
Oprah Winfrey s movie, which causes heated arguments and characters to do things that they would

Of Anglo Saxon And Germanic Culture In Beowulf
Beowulf: The Exemplar of Anglo Saxon and Germanic Culture The Anglo Saxon and Germanic
culture is widely known for being raiders and pillagers. But as this epic poem is told, Beowulf shows a
different perspective of this culture, and embodies this culture in his heroic instances during this epic
poem. For the Anglo Saxon and Germanic culture is the backbone of this poem s atmosphere. As the
story is told and develops with Beowulf, he himself shows through his heroic instances what it means
to be a heroic figure. With that figure Beowulf will be displaying qualities such as honor, loyalty, and
strength, which are the three pillars of the Anglo Saxon and Germanic culture. Beowulf s first showing
of his loyalty was when he heard about Grendel and decided to go defeat this monster. When he heard
about Grendel, Hygelac s thane was on home ground, over in Geatland. There was no one else like
him alive. In his day, he was the mightiest man on earth, high born and powerful. He ordered a boat
that would ply the waves. He announced his plan: to sail the swan s road and search out that king, the
famous prince who needed defenders (Beowulf, Line 195 201). His decision to go and help the Danes
was one of debt, for he knew of Hrothgar and had helped his father during exile. As Beowulf and his
men arrived to Hrothgar s kingdom, his guards didn t know about this man coming, but when they saw
him they were just excited knowing he could be the one. We belong by birth to the Geat people

Advanced Topics in Management Accounting and Control
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the economic situation of the company Macedonian Shipping
and give a recommendation whether the company should use the motor vessel Tashtego as a freight
tender beween Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar in East Africa or as a tapioca ship between Balik Papan
and Singapore in the East Indies.
Fundamental to all these considerations are measurement issues. Financial measures, in particular,
cost measures, are needed to evaluate alternate strategies on whether to introduce a new product or
service line, to determine the appropriate sale price and the consequent market position for the firm s
product.

King Henry V Character Analysis
Throughout history, it has been difficult to have a dynastic succession produce good leaders. However,
in William Shakespeare s Henry V, King Henry V is acclaimed as the dynastic successor to England.
Henry has a valid claim to the French throne, but France already has a successor, the Dauphin. With
some convincing and financing from the clergy, Henry decides to fight for his place as the French heir.
In the Battle of Agincourt, Henry demonstrates strong leadership at a young age. As previously
explained in Act I, Henry s father died when he was young, and Henry V gained a new demeanor and
changed his wild ways into proper ethics for royalty. Henry s personality change leads to his noble
leadership, and he seems to lead by example and in words even as a young king. King Henry s
conduct causes him to be a just ruler. King Henry s morality, impartiality, and authority cause him to
be a just ruler. King Henry s morality causes him to be a just ruler. When Henry rises to the throne, he
sheds his reckless personality as much as possible, and he even distances himself from an old friend,
John Falstaff. King Henry becomes a morally and mentally sound king for England. Henry gains
important morals for a ruler such as humility, grace, piety, and wisdom even at his young age. Henry
shows a glimpse of his humility when he addresses the soldiers before the siege of Harfleur to inspire
them for battle. Henry says that they all must go Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once / more
(3.1.1 2). By addressing the soldiers as dear friends, Henry acknowledges them as equals and even
goes as far as saying that they are his comrades. His humility is loved by his people, so they respond
as motivated and united front for England. A good leader must never hold his/her head higher than
his/her subjects because this makes the ruler more popular when he/she considers all people equally.
Also, Henry is loved by the Church for his piety and other morals. As the Bishop of Canterbury and
the Bishop of Ely discuss the bill about to be passed which would tax the church, the Bishops mention
that Henry V is full of grace and fair reward. / And a true lover of the Church (1.1.24 25Whn Henry

In the decline, some nations were becoming more powerful. There are four particular causes of this
decline. The first is an economic change where there began an expanded trade system. Several trading

Azacitidine are DNA Methyltransferase Inhibitors
Azacytidine or 5 AZC
Trade Name : Vidaza
Introduction:
Azacitidine are DNA Methyltransferase inhibitors. Azacitidine being an analog for cytidine gets
integrated into the DNA sequence of the DNMT gene, the gene turns dysfunctional, inhibiting the
DNA methyltransferase enzymes which normally methylate DNA.
Azacitidine is used primarily for the treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes or MDS a blood
disorder which affects the bone marrow leading to a low or ineffective production of blood cells. The
cancerous overgrowth of a number of immature cells or blasts and the abnormally developed or
dysplastic cells increase, thereby reducing the cell count of normal red blood cells, white blood cells,
and platelets.
Azacitidine as a chemotherapeutic drug (in low doses) prevents the body from making nucleic acids
required for cell growth of the cancerous cells. This stops the growth of cancer cells and leads to cell
death. Azacitidine also appears to help restore normal growth and differentiation (cell specialization)
in the cells of the bone marrow. This betters the bone marrow production of normal blood cells.
Discovery:
Azacitidine was first synthesized by Piskala and Sorm in 1964 [Piskala A, Sorm F. (1964). Collect
Czech Chem. Commun., 29: 2060 2076]. It was developed as a nucleoside antimetabolite specifically
used for the treatment of acute myelogenous leukemia (Cihak, 1974;Sorm et al., 1964).

towards men and how they are conformed to society s conventions. While her thoughts reveal in a

expresses the wish to continue dancing. This paper will analyze the narrator s voices and on the one

The Importance Of Physical Education In Secondary Schools
Physical education should be compulsory in secondary schools including 11 and 12
Physical education classes are one of the most important classes in middle schools and high schools

there are many negative impacts on physical education that a lot of students do not want to participate
in it. Moreover, a research in an Irish high school on how sports classes affect scholastic achievement,
this study examined how involvement in school sports affects the marks of a graduation certificate. In

The White Tiger Essay
Aravind Adiga s debut and Man Booker Prize winning epistolary novel, The White Tiger , is a
chronicle of the underbelly Balram, whose quest for freedom is a microcosm for the underclass and its
life of struggle in 21st century, globalized India. Class antagonism and social stratification is an
integral part of this society and The White Tiger provides a brutally realistic exposition of the
downtrodden through the first person narrator, Balram Halwai, who is a strong voice of the underclass.
This essay attempts to analyze how Adiga depicts the oppressed underclass in the context of a deeply

title of the novel itself is a symbolism of the literary metaphysics of the idea of liberation from the

The Demise Of The Tobacco Smoking
What some are calling a new fad, may very well be the answer to the demise of the tobacco smoking

cigarettes, also known as vaporizers, are the better alternative to smoking traditional tobacco
cigarettes. They contain less harmful chemicals, are less expensive, and provide a smoother transition

Resilient to economic contraction. Despite the global economic recession, Olam remains confident of
sustaining its earnings growth momentum. Management guides for 16% to 20% topline CAGR and
25% to 30% earnings CAGR over the next three years. These goals are achievable, given that demand
for food is relatively inelastic and less susceptible to the global economic turmoil. Agricultural
products are less prone to cyclical volatility of commodities as compared to metals and energy, as

Imagine Dramatic Environmental Changes, The Displacement
Imagine dramatic environmental changes, the displacement of millions, and various animal
extinctions; these are all possible outcomes for the future. As a matter of fact, these ideas are not far
fetched whatsoever, because many reputable sources verify these claims. Multiple studies published in
peer reviewed scientific journals show that 97% or more of actively publishing climate scientists
agree: climate warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities
(NASA). In other words, global climate change is a stark reality because of human civilization.
However, when the issue of climate change pops up in a conversation, a standard person would most
likely not know about the topic or try to avoid it altogether. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The majority of the world s climate troubles is due to the greenhouse effect. The truth lies within the
data, and it shows that global warming is caused by the greenhouse effect. Four main substances,
carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and the halocarbons, also called the greenhouse gasses, are in
the atmosphere. The greenhouse gasses act as a blanket and capture heat; the more of these gasses
there are, the more heat is trapped (Tremmel Robinson 26 27). To simplify: when sunlight reaches the
Earth, some is absorbed while the rest bounces off into space again. Essentially, the problem presented
in modern times is that huge chunks of light are getting stuck on Earth, and too much interaction is
bad.
But what is the cause of the increasing amount of these greenhouse gasses that slowly destroy our
planet? The simple answer is humans. The Industrial Revolution marked one of the times of human
advancement in technology due to the creation of mass production. In other words, things could be
made easier in larger quantities. This was an incredible human achievement for making life easier, but
at the same time, caused drawbacks to the climate. Nowadays, because of the breakthrough, humans
rely on industry and the usage of fossil fuels for energy. Over time, as human activities related to
burning fossil fuels, clearing land for agriculture, and so

Baseball As A First Negro Player
After World War II, Baseball was most beloved game in America. Africans had served their country
gallantly with others. However, they return home fighting to free the world from tyranny only to find
racism, Jim crawlism and segregation still waiting at home. The film is about the challenges Robinson
face to come to play Baseball as a first negro player through social segregation. Segregation was the
law and custom of the land. No other group was more scrupulous in its observance of customs than
organized Baseball. In 1946, there were 16 Major Baseball teams consisting of 400 players and all of
them was white. In 1947,Mr Ricky, innovative major league Baseball executive, stood apart to bring a
colored ball player in Baseball. He offers Jacki that if he make it to Montreal, he could play with
Brooklyn Dodgers with a good amount of salary. However, there was one condition that Jacki must
control his temper by any means. Jacki replied, You give me a uniform and a number on my back, and
I will give you my temper . Jacki got a jersey with 42 on the back. After signing the contract with
Montreal Jacki got married with a fine young woman named Rachel. At the first day of spring training
at Montreal he faced a few question from the reporters. He answered them with his intellect. In
Daytona, Florida police interrupt Jacki in the game, accusing him of hitting a white player in the field.
But, it was legal by the game rules. April 18, 1946 in Jersey city was the opening day of

Supply Chain Game Board Game
The object of the game is to meet customer demand for cases of beer through the distribution side of a
multi stage supply chain with minimal expenditure on back orders and inventory. There are four
stages, manufacturer, distributor, supplier, retailer, with a two week communication gap of orders
toward the upstream and a two week supply chain delay of product towards the downstream. There is
a one point cost for holding excess inventory and a one point cost for any backlog (old backlog +
orders current inventory). In the board game version, players cannot see anything other than what is
communicated to them through pieces of paper with numbers written on them, signifying orders or
product. The retailer draws from a deck of cards for what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Suppliers, manufacturers, sales people, and customers have their own, often incomplete,
understanding of what real demand is. Each group has control over only a part of the supply chain, but
each group can influence the entire chain by ordering too much or too little. Further, each group is
influenced by decisions that others are making. This lack of coordination coupled with the ability to
influence while being influenced by others leads to what Stanford s Hau Lee refers to as the Bullwhip
Effect. It refers to the effect that the amount of periodical orders amplifies as one moves upstream in
the supply chain towards the production end. Even in the face of stable customer demand small
variations in demand at the retail end tend to dramatically amplify upstream the supply chain with the
effect that order amounts are very erratic, and can be very high in one week and almost zero in the

Developing Countries Research Paper
Developing Countries Research Paper Effects of Poverty in Somalia Strayer University Sociology of
Developing Countries 09/02/2012 Abstract The Third World was a term coined to distinguish nations
that neither aligned with the First World developed countries nor the Second World Communist
Countries during the Cold War. However, modern day usage denotes countries with low Human
Development Index (HDI) that suffer from political, social and economic underdevelopment. The
United Nations finds Third World term slightly pejorative and prefers the label less developed
countries (LDCs). Terminology notwithstanding, LDCs suffer from underdevelopment and poverty. At
the grassroots level, economic underdevelopment connotes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

People were killed, beaten and raped by the newly formed militias. The fighting disrupted food
production and famine spread through the region. Many foreign countries attempted to intervene by
supplying food and medical supplies but the clans refused to allow any outside interference. In 2006,
the Islamic Army began fighting the warlords in an attempt to restore government. However, Somalis
were undecided on the Islamic ideas and restoration attempts failed. Sociological Perspective Somali
population is filled with large groups of nomads and refugees seeking security away from the clans
and famine. Due to all the movement it is difficult to estimate the population accurately. The last know
official count was gathered by the Somali Government in 1975. Today, the best estimate that takes the
1975 data in account illustrates the population at approximately 10 million people. (CIA, 2012). The
average life expectancy for males is 48 years and women are only slight greater at 52 years. Compared
to the United States average life expectancy of 78, it is fair to say the Somali have a difficult and short
life. While living, it is impossible to find work. Jobs are scarce and tend to rely on livestock or
farming. However, even farming has been increasingly impossible since global trade has imported
foreign agriculture that under cuts domestic farmers. This import presents a burden for the Somali
people because they

It was a beautiful day and even though the drive with a newborn and a traitor full of our belongings was intense. We had lived in Prairie Grove for a few years before we started attending local events. Damodaran on Capital and Operating Leases Dealing with Operating Leases in Valuation Aswath Damodaran Stern School of Business 44 West Fourth Street New York, NY 10012 adamodar@stern.nyu.edu Abstract Most firm valuation models start with the after tax operating income as a measure of the operating income on a firm and reduce it by the reinvestment rate to arrive at the free cash flow to the firm. Implicitly, we assume that the operating expenses do not include any financing expenses (such as interest expense on debt). When a firm leases an asset, the accounting treatment of the expense depends upon whether it is categorized as an operating or a capital lease. Operating lease expenses are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These leases are called combination leases. Accounting For Leases The effects of leasing an asset on accounting statements will depend on how the lease is categorized by the Internal Revenue Service (for tax purposes) and by generally accepted accounting standards (for measurement purposes). Since leasing an asset rather than buying it substitutes lease payments as a tax deduction for the payments that would have been claimed as tax deductions by the firm if had owned the asset (depreciation and interest expenses on debt), the IRS is wary of lease arrangements designed purely to speed up tax deductions. Some of the issues the IRS considers in deciding whether lease payments are tax deductible include the following: Are the lease payments on the asset spread out over the life of the asset or are they accelerated over a much shorter period? Can the lessee continue to use the asset after the life of the lease at preferential rates or nominal amounts? Can the lessee buy the asset at the end of the life of the lease at a price well below market? If lease payments are made over a period much shorter than the asset s life and the lessee is allowed either to continue leasing the asset at a nominal amount or to buy the asset at a price below market, the IRS may view ... Follow Filial Piety In Confucianism In the teachings of Confucius, there are concepts ranging from jūnzǐ to zhì, but the two key teachings that are predominant in both Analects and Menzi readings are lǐ and xiào. Lǐ refers to having certain rules to follow for proper behavior, while xiào refers to practicing filial piety with in ones family, friends, and ruler. Furthermore, an example that shows lǐ is shown in Book Ten of the Analects, showing how proper behavior has to be altered depending on the situation that one is in (Ivanhoe: 27). Proper behavior has to be shown at all times, but there are distinct situations where more respectful behavior is required. Overall, having rules for proper behavior keeps order within Confucius families, rulers and essentially the universe. Having this proper behavior not only shows respect for others, but it also shows how knowledgeable one is (Ivanhoe: 27). Additionally, xiào is shown in the Analects by the way in which Book seventeen represents it. Analect 17.9 does not specifically talk about how to follow filial piety, but it provides an example on how education will teach you how to follow filial piety (Ivanhoe: 44). • 18. Human Differences Between Humans And Humans research into the minds of dogs and humans has brought to light the similarities between the human and canine brains. Examples include having a theory of mind, sentience, the possession of mirror neurons, and the ability to generate emotions and respond emotionally. The origin of these similarities have yet to be explained. One theory states that the similarities could have developed in both humans and dogs, and then strengthened when dogs were domesticated and perfected their social functions in order to adapt to a human dominated environment. Another theory is that pack behaviour in dogs is similar enough to human social behaviour that dogs developed independently from humans, then became domesticated because their behavior already aligned with that of with early humans. Some evidence of that is the fact that humans and canines have occupied the same geographical regions for hundreds of thousands of years. Our best estimate of dogs became domesticated is somewhere between 14,700 and 36,000 years ago (Liane, Interdisciplinary investigations of the late glacial double burial from Bonn Oberkassel). Sheila Kemp did an outstanding job in her short history of one of America s most treasured arguably the most looked up to political heroes. Whether the Cockpit had as astounding an effect on Franklin s political career, and the defining moment that pushed him on the path as an advocate for independence is up for argument. Did Kemp adequately protect her position: that Benjamin Franklin became a revolutionary after his incident at the Cockpit? The questions seem to be answerable morally, as well as historically. In truth, Kemp defended her position with as much armor as she could smith whilst writing her definingly short biography, but sometimes lost her argument in midst of a flood of historical information. And said that, although events in Massachusetts put Franklin on the hot seat, there was an underlying reason for Wedderburn s attacks. Some of which were inherent, for instance, the ideologies between American Colonists and the British Elite were very much different than how Franklin imagined the Empire. He believed that all colonists were grateful to be part of the Empire, and even went as far as to advocate ill fated taxes to be introduced to the Colonies in an attempt to relieve some british debt. Furthermore, to the british mind, taxes that were being legislated were perfectly within the Empire s right, and that every time taxes became too overwhelming, British officials would back down against resistance. Such was the case for the Stamp Act which was enacted in 1765 and repealed in 1766 after riots broke out in the Colonies. In the case of Franklin, exasperations also gave way to his eventual disenfranchisement of the Empire. His own pride was destroyed at the cockpit that day, something Franklin was no stranger to and definitely was unable to handle in a casual fashion. Thus, Kemp adamantly claims throughout her work that Franklin saw his opposition to the Empire, as a personal and not entirely a political issue as he once did. But as this epic poem is told, Beowulf shows a different perspective of this culture, and embodies this culture in his heroic instances during this epic poem. For the Anglo Saxon and Germanic culture is the backbone of this poem s atmosphere. As the story is told and develops with Beowulf, he himself shows through his heroic instances what it means to be a heroic figure. With that figure Beowulf will be displaying qualities such as honor, loyalty, and strength, which are the three pillars of the Anglo Saxon and Germanic culture. Beowulf s first showing of his loyalty was when he heard about Grendel and decided to go defeat this monster. When he heard about Grendel, Hygelac s thane was on home ground, over in Geatland. There was no one else like him alive. In his day, he was the mightiest man on earth, high born and powerful. He ordered a boat that would ply the waves. He announced his plan: to sail the swan s road and search out that king, the famous prince who needed defenders (Beowulf, Line 195 201). His decision to go and help the Danes was one of debt, for he knew of Hrothgar and had helped his father during exile. • 30. King Henry V Character Analysis Throughout history, it has been difficult to have a dynastic succession produce good leaders. However, in William Shakespeare s Henry V, King Henry V is acclaimed as the dynastic successor to England. Henry has a valid claim to the French throne, but France already has a successor, the Dauphin. With some convincing and financing from the clergy, Henry decides to fight for his place as the French heir. In the Battle of Agincourt, Henry demonstrates strong leadership at a young age. As previously explained in Act I, Henry s father died when he was young, and Henry V gained a new demeanor and changed his wild ways into proper ethics for royalty. Henry s personality change leads to his noble leadership, and he seems to lead by example and in words even as a young king. King Henry s conduct causes him to be a just ruler. When Henry rises to the throne, he sheds his reckless personality as much as possible, and he even distances himself from an old friend, John Falstaff. King Henry becomes a morally and mentally sound king for England. Henry gains important morals for a ruler such as humility, grace, piety, and wisdom even at his young age. Henry shows a glimpse of his humility when he addresses the soldiers before the siege of Harfleur to inspire them for battle. Henry says that they all must go Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once / more (3.1.1 2). • 32. Azacitidine are DNA Methyltransferase Inhibitors Azacytidine or 5 AZC Trade Name : Vidaza Introduction: Azacitidine are DNA Methyltransferase inhibitors. Azacitidine being an analog for cytidine gets integrated into the DNA sequence of the DNMT gene, the gene turns dysfunctional, inhibiting the DNA methyltransferase enzymes which normally methylate DNA. Azacitidine is used primarily for the treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes or MDS a blood disorder which affects the bone marrow leading to a low or ineffective production of blood cells. The cancerous overgrowth of a number of immature cells or blasts and the abnormally developed or dysplastic cells increase, thereby reducing the cell count of normal red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Azacitidine as a chemotherapeutic drug (in low doses) prevents the body from making nucleic acids required for cell growth of the cancerous cells. This stops the growth of cancer cells and leads to cell death. Azacitidine also appears to help restore normal growth and differentiation (cell specialization) in the cells of the bone marrow. This betters the bone marrow production of normal blood cells. Discovery: Azacitidine was first synthesized by Piskala and Sorm in 1964 [Piskala A, Sorm F. (1964). Collect Czech Chem. Commun., 29: 2060 2076]. It was developed as a nucleoside antimetabolite specifically used for the treatment of acute myelogenous leukemia (Cihak, 1974;Sorm et al., 1964). Imagine Dramatic Environmental Changes, The Displacement Imagine dramatic environmental changes, the displacement of millions, and various animal extinctions; these are all possible outcomes for the future. As a matter of fact, these ideas are not far fetched whatsoever, because many reputable sources verify these claims. Multiple studies published in peer reviewed scientific journals show that 97% or more of actively publishing climate scientists agree: climate warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities (NASA). In other words, global climate change is a stark reality because of human civilization. However, when the issue of climate change pops up in a conversation, a standard person would most likely not know about the topic or try to avoid it altogether. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The majority of the world s climate troubles is due to the greenhouse effect. The truth lies within the data, and it shows that global warming is caused by the greenhouse effect. Four main substances, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and the halocarbons, also called the greenhouse gasses, are in the atmosphere. The greenhouse gasses act as a blanket and capture heat; the more of these gasses there are, the more heat is trapped (Tremmel Robinson 26 27). To simplify: when sunlight reaches the Earth, some is absorbed while the rest bounces off into space again. Essentially, the problem presented in modern times is that huge chunks of light are getting stuck on Earth, and too much interaction is bad. But what is the cause of the increasing amount of these greenhouse gasses that slowly destroy our planet? The simple answer is humans. The Industrial Revolution marked one of the times of human advancement in technology due to the creation of mass production. In other words, things could be made easier in larger quantities. This was an incredible human achievement for making life easier, but at the same time, caused drawbacks to the climate. Nowadays, because of the breakthrough, humans rely on industry and the usage of fossil fuels for energy. Over time, as human activities related to burning fossil fuels, clearing land for agriculture, and so ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. Supply Chain Game Board Game The object of the game is to meet customer demand for cases of beer through the distribution side of a multi stage supply chain with minimal expenditure on back orders and inventory. There are four stages, manufacturer, distributor, supplier, retailer, with a two week communication gap of orders toward the upstream and a two week supply chain delay of product towards the downstream. There is a one point cost for holding excess inventory and a one point cost for any backlog (old backlog + orders current inventory). In the board game version, players cannot see anything other than what is communicated to them through pieces of paper with numbers written on them, signifying orders or product. The retailer draws from a deck of cards for what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Suppliers, manufacturers, sales people, and customers have their own, often incomplete, understanding of what real demand is. Each group has control over only a part of the supply chain, but each group can influence the entire chain by ordering too much or too little. Further, each group is influenced by decisions that others are making. This lack of coordination coupled with the ability to influence while being influenced by others leads to what Stanford s Hau Lee refers to as the Bullwhip Effect. It refers to the effect that the amount of periodical orders amplifies as one moves upstream in the supply chain towards the production end. Even in the face of stable customer demand small variations in demand at the retail end tend to dramatically amplify upstream the supply chain with the effect that order amounts are very erratic, and can be very high in one week and almost zero in the next ... Developing Countries Research Paper Developing Countries Research Paper Effects of Poverty in Somalia Strayer University Sociology of Developing Countries 09/02/2012 Abstract The Third World was a term coined to distinguish nations that neither aligned with the First World developed countries nor the Second World Communist Countries during the Cold War. However, modern day usage denotes countries with low Human Development Index (HDI) that suffer from political, social and economic underdevelopment. The United Nations finds Third World term slightly pejorative and prefers the label less developed countries (LDCs). Terminology notwithstanding, LDCs suffer from underdevelopment and poverty. The fighting disrupted food production and famine spread through the region. Many foreign countries attempted to intervene by supplying food and medical supplies but the clans refused to allow any outside interference. In 2006, the Islamic Army began fighting the warlords in an attempt to restore government. However, Somalis were undecided on the Islamic ideas and restoration attempts failed. Sociological Perspective Somali population is filled with large groups of nomads and refugees seeking security away from the clans and famine. Due to all the movement it is difficult to estimate the population accurately. The last know official count was gathered by the Somali Government in 1975. Today, the best estimate that takes the 1975 data in account illustrates the population at approximately 10 million people. (CIA, 2012). The average life expectancy for males is 48 years and women are only slight greater at 52 years. Compared to the United States average life expectancy of 78, it is fair to say the Somali have a difficult and short life. While living, it is impossible to find work.
