All Muslims are terrorists, Jews are greedy bankers, and America is a Christian country. These

In southern Attica, along the dramatic and sweeping coastline, is the location of the Temple of
Poseidon at Sounion. Poseidon is the god of the sea, so this is clearly an appropriate location as
it looks onward and outward towards the island of Crete and is also surrounded by water on three
of it s four sides. To the south and east is the Sea of Crete and to the north and west, the Aegean
Sea, which was named for Aegeus, the king of Athens. The Temple of Poseidon was built in the mid
late 5th century B.C., which was also during the same period of time that the great monuments of
the Athenian acropolis were being built. Excavations throughout history have proven that this was
not the first temple at this monumental location, as the original temple was most likely destroyed
during the Persian invasions around 400 B.C..
The Temple of Athena is very close by and the two monuments together provided religious
sanctuary for the citizens of Athens. The region of Attica and Sounion has been inhabited since a
very early time and we know this from the discovery of prehistoric tombs dated all the way back
to the 3rd millennium B.C.. The earliest reference to Sounion was in the infamous poem by Homer,
The Odyssey, and even in this poem, Homer referred to Sounion as a sanctuary.

memoirs which are very similar and different. Theme, tone, and character development all help to
compare and contrast these memoirs. Both texts have a large amount of these literary devices.
Bonne AnnГ©e is about a Haitian child who grows up and learns to love Haiti. He is the narrator of
the story. At first, he doesn t want to go back to Haiti after dictator FranГ§ois Duvalier(Papa Doc)
leaves his country or the world. He is told that this will happen soon. As the narrator grows up,
he watches a world cup soccer match: Italy vs. Haiti. This is still in New York, his home from
before. Italy, a country that hasn t been scored on for two years, gets scored on by the Haitians in
the match. Even though Haiti loses, the narrator feels proud for his natal country. In Me Talk
Pretty One Day , the narrator tries to learn French in Paris. He is given a very strict teacher who
hates everyone in the class, especially him. At the end, though, all is revealed. The narrator can
perfectly understand the teacher. The theme of both these texts is similar and different. In Bonne
AnnГ©e , one quote is this: Perhaps the natal pull is stronger than it seems. (BenoГ®t 36). One
