What age range do you fall under?
For Question one, I decided to ask people from ages 15 to 26 as this
was my target audience and would give me a wide variety of opinions
depending on the age. I found that most of these people were 15-16
years old, this may be because people of this age tend to buy music
magazines and are more interested in rock, the genre of my magazine.
However there were also 2 other significant age ranges, 17-18 and 19-
20.

What genre do these magazine pages look as though they are from?
For question three, I found that my magazine did look like the genre I
presented it to be, however one person thought it looked like a different genre,
saying that it looked like a punk magazine. I asked this question to see if I was
using the correct fonts, images and text to show my magazine as a rock
magazine, I also used bands that were known to be rock bands to the public
rather than obscure bands that could be mistaken for another genre.

What aspects would lead you to buy this magazine?
For question seven I found that the fonts and content I used would lead
people of my target audience to buy my magazine, this was because I
used fonts associated with rock and I used fonts that seemed similar to
typical rock magazines that are similar to mine. I used content that would
attract a fan of rock, including a chance to win a guitar signed by Ozzy
Osbourne, a famous rock star. I asked this question as I believed it
would give me an idea of what to focus on in the future. Also I would be
able to include similar and interesting content.

For question nine I asked what the most striking element was for each page, I asked for one for each page as it
meant I would know what was the best feature of each of my pages, allowing me to figure out what I should focus
on in the future. In this case the less striking features of my magazine pages. The most striking feature on my
front cover was the cover lines, as they were outlined to stand out against the eye-catching main image. The
most striking feature on my contents page was the masthead and the images, the masthead because it was a
font that looked like it belonged in a rock magazine and the images because they were people the audience felt
they could relate to. whilst the feature most striking on my double page spread was the main image, as it had the
full band, the main singer the prominent feature, and covered a whole page similar to other rock magazines.

For question eleven I asked what the audience did not like about my
magazine, which would allow me to look at what I can improve next
time. The feature that was most disliked was the text size, the
audience believed that the text on some of the pages could be
bigger, such as the issue information on the front cover page and
some of the text on the contents page.

Which page is your favourite?
For question twelve I asked which page the target audience found to be their
favourite, I asked this in order to learn which of my magazine pages was the
best looking. The audience found this to be the front cover page, this means I
should put more focus into my contents page and double page spread, however
because the front cover page was the favourite it means that the audience will
be attracted to my magazine when they see it in the newsagents or the
supermarkets as it is pleasing to the eye due to the fonts, masthead and main
image which all apply to the conventions of a rock magazine.
