The survey results show that the target audience for a new music magazine would be teenagers and young adults aged 16-24. Females made up the majority of respondents but including content to appeal to both genders would be best. Rock and indie music were the most popular genres among respondents. When designing the magazine, special attention should be given to the front cover image since that is the first thing readers notice. Vibrant color schemes and interviews with artists would be most appealing to readers. On average, respondents said they would prefer the magazine layout to be organized rather than busy. Most would only purchase a magazine yearly, so the content needs to be compelling enough to attract purchasers.
