I feel thatthe preliminarytaskswhereextremelyhelpful.Itfirstlyfamiliarisedme withsome of the
toolsI had notusedbefore,anditalsogave me some insightintohow magazineswork,andhow the
layoutisparticularlyimportant.Thisoverall,wasextremelyhelpful,anditallowedme toimprove by
myself overtime.
Duringmy preliminarytask,itwasclearthat my magazine wasextremelybasicanddidnotstandout
much againstothers.Also,duringthe preliminarytasks,Ifeltitwaseasypickingthe genre,however,
withthe actual task;I was able touse myskillstofocuson attractingthat genre inmany different
ways.
I feel like myknowledge of Photoshophasexpandedaswell.Aspreviouslymentionedinquestion6,
I am nowable to effectivelyuse the rulerandgridlines,inordertomake sure everythinginplace.
My general Photoshopskillshave alsoimprovedduringmypreliminarytask,inthe sense that
althoughIhad some intermediate knowledge,withthe helpof mypreliminarytasks,Ifoundmore
efficientwaystodothings,andultimatelyspeeduptime.Duringmypreliminarytask,Itwasalso
clearthat I had usedverybasicfonts.I tendedtouse fontsthat were basic,anddidnot reallyhave
much variety.Now,Ihave managedtouse sitessuch as DaFont,and expandedmyfontbase,making
the magazine more attractive tocertainaudiences,andultimatelycatchtheireye.Whenyou
compare my preliminarytasktomy final pieces,youcansee thatI have learnta lot,and managedto
expandmyskill set.Thisisreallyvaluable becauseoverall,ItfeelslikeIhave beenable tomature the
qualityof mymagazine.
I have alsolearnedthatthe feedbackisveryimportant.Althoughitisextremelyconvenienttopick
see yourtarget audience,andtoan extent,how toattract them, I feel thatthe groupwork,and
directlygettingfeedbackthroughmarketresearchandonlinesurveyshasreallyimprovedmy
knowledge of howthe readersliketheirmagazinestobe.
Overall,Ialsobelieve thatbecause of the low qualityshotsthatIhave done previouslyinmy
preliminarytasks,whichalsohappenedtohave poorlighting,duringthe final task;Iwas able to
rectifythese,andhave the bestcameraqualitypossible.

  • 1. Question7 Lookingback to yourpreliminarytask,whatdoyoufeel thatyouhave learntinthe progressionfrom it to the full product? I feel thatthe preliminarytaskswhereextremelyhelpful.Itfirstlyfamiliarisedme withsome of the toolsI had notusedbefore,anditalsogave me some insightintohow magazineswork,andhow the layoutisparticularlyimportant.Thisoverall,wasextremelyhelpful,anditallowedme toimprove by myself overtime. Duringmy preliminarytask,itwasclearthat my magazine wasextremelybasicanddidnotstandout much againstothers.Also,duringthe preliminarytasks,Ifeltitwaseasypickingthe genre,however, withthe actual task;I was able touse myskillstofocuson attractingthat genre inmany different ways. I feel like myknowledge of Photoshophasexpandedaswell.Aspreviouslymentionedinquestion6, I am nowable to effectivelyuse the rulerandgridlines,inordertomake sure everythinginplace. My general Photoshopskillshave alsoimprovedduringmypreliminarytask,inthe sense that althoughIhad some intermediate knowledge,withthe helpof mypreliminarytasks,Ifoundmore efficientwaystodothings,andultimatelyspeeduptime.Duringmypreliminarytask,Itwasalso clearthat I had usedverybasicfonts.I tendedtouse fontsthat were basic,anddidnot reallyhave much variety.Now,Ihave managedtouse sitessuch as DaFont,and expandedmyfontbase,making the magazine more attractive tocertainaudiences,andultimatelycatchtheireye.Whenyou compare my preliminarytasktomy final pieces,youcansee thatI have learnta lot,and managedto expandmyskill set.Thisisreallyvaluable becauseoverall,ItfeelslikeIhave beenable tomature the qualityof mymagazine. I have alsolearnedthatthe feedbackisveryimportant.Althoughitisextremelyconvenienttopick see yourtarget audience,andtoan extent,how toattract them, I feel thatthe groupwork,and directlygettingfeedbackthroughmarketresearchandonlinesurveyshasreallyimprovedmy knowledge of howthe readersliketheirmagazinestobe. Overall,Ialsobelieve thatbecause of the low qualityshotsthatIhave done previouslyinmy preliminarytasks,whichalsohappenedtohave poorlighting,duringthe final task;Iwas able to rectifythese,andhave the bestcameraqualitypossible.
