Firstly,Icreatedthe canvas forthe page,andaddeda backgroundthat I thoughtwouldgowell.
Baseduponthe background,Ichose I navyand white colourscheme,because Ibelieve thatthey
contrast andoverall gowell together. Afterimportingthe background,Iusedthe selective colour
tool to make the navy more colourful,andadda more vibrantfeel tothe magazine.
Next,usingthe quickselectiontool,Idecidedtocutout the backgroundfrom mymodelsimage.
I nextaddedeffects
to the picture to make itlooka lotmore vibrant.By
addingthe outerglow,itmade it standout againstthe
background,andhighlightthe modelsfeatures.

2. Duringmy research,Inoticedthaton the frontcover,mostmagazinesdecidedtoone bigmain
picture,andsome side pictures.Therefore,Iputa picture inthe bottomof the page,to create a side
storyfor a separate article.
NextIusedthe texttool to add the text.I decidedtomake the textina regularprofessionalfont.
Under the mainarticle headline,Iputa small contextline.The textthatisagainstthe navy
backgrounditself,Idecidedtodefine itbyaddingan“Outerglow” effect;therefore itwouldstand
out more,andalsoenhance the coloursystem.

3. Everymagazine needstohave a goodskyline.Iusedmyskyline tocontainsome informationabout
the magazine,takingthe opportunitytoputthe website,the price,andthe issue numberin.The
skyline alsohelpstosplitthe page up.I createdthe skyline byinsertingashape,by usingthe
“Shape”tool.I alsodecidedtomake itwhite tofitthe colourscheme.

4. The last final touchonmy magazine frontcoverwasclearingup anyblemishesthatthe model had.
As youcan see,onhisforeheadthere isa redblemish.Iwantedthe modelsskintobe as clearas
possible,sousingsome of the fill tools,andadjustingthe colours,Iwasable toremove the redmark.
