Who would be the audience for your media project?
My magazine is targeted at teenager girls aged between 15 and 18 years old. This is a girl who
is interested in her music, fashion, boys, getting advice and her friends. She is a very social girl,
who loves going out and spending time with her family and her friends. She loves her music and
she may be a big fan of a particular artist or artists such as One Direction, Jessie J, Taylor Swift,
Bruno Mars, Beyonce… She loves going to concerts and gigs with a friend or a group of friends.
She can not be seen without her music or her earphones. Fashion is also a big part of her life,
she follows the latest styles and trends and loves going out shopping with friends or over the
internet. It is clear that my magazine is targeted to female readers due to the colours used. You
can also tell what kind of female would read my magazine due to the topics that are inside my
magazine. Only people who are interested in music, fashion, advice, boys… will read my
magazine.
By the research that I had carried out, I also found out the information about what people like to
see in their magazines and would they would enjoy reading in mine. This helped me with
choosing the topics I was going to include in my magazine in order to attract the right target
audience for my magazine. The questionnaire which I had given out, came me a clear insight to
what people like to see in magazines, fashion, music and advice page were the most popular
answers. I have included each of them as they are what most people would like to see in their
magazine.
