QUESTION 4
WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT?
Seen as my target audience was people around late teens and early 20’s,
because this is what I found to be a more popular age for music magazines on
my market research, I got feedback from people who were around this age
group. My market research indicated that rock magazines would be more
popular because 64% of people who answered my questionnaire preferred this
genre of music. I also found that many younger people are interested in the
music industry and magazines with 82% of people being in a 15-25 age group.
This is feedback I received on a focus group on Facebook for my magazine
designs. This feedback helped me to understand what I did well on my
magazine and what I needed to do to improve it and make it more suitable for
my target audience. I took on board the advice given and I chose how I wanted
to improve. I fixed the cut off text on my kicker on my double page spread so
that it read properly. I also added letters before each interview reply so that it
was clear who was speaking.
