- 1. Question 3 What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
- 2. Paramount Pictures My film would suit being distributed by Paramount Pictures as their film portfolio predominantly features the action genre. Examples of their successful previous films would include huge franchises such as Transformers, Iron Man, and the Mission: Impossible films. Furthermore, these films fit within the genre of my film.
- 3. Gap in the Market Paramount Pictures tend to focus their films around a male protagonist who saves the world from an evil existence. However, the protagonist in these types of films are usually older men which is where my film differs. The main protagonist in my film is a teenage boy, and this would show to be a gap in the market in comparison to Paramount’s current film portfolio.
- 4. Target Audience My target audience would be able to relate to the protagonist of my film as he battle the troubles that school life can sometimes bring, for example, making friends and having annoying fellow students as well as teachers. However, he would also be try to get rid of the evil that exists, furthermore, my film would fit my target audience and prove to be an interest watch as he tries to balance these problems. Along with this would be a new, refreshing story that may grab the interest of viewers therefore creating a unique take on the action genre that may suit Paramount Pictures’ criteria.
