Gender
In myopinion,the magazine appealstobothmale andfemale butprimarilymales.Thisisbecause of
the dark colourswhichare associatedwithwhatsome boysmaylike.Also,the genre of the
magazine isrock whichisknownmostlywithmen.The mainimage isa female asIbelieveitmay
appeal towomenwhoenjoyrockmusic.Rock bandsare knowntobe mostlymalessoseeinga
female onthe covermay attract a female audience.Iwantedmymagazine toappeal toboth
gendersbyusingneutral coloursthatmay be likedbyboth.Ialso triedtouse a feminine pose forthe
model onthe mainimage to make it seemrelatable.Iwantedmymagazine toslightlyresemble
Kerrangmagazine inthe use of the boldtitle andthe large fontson the bottom.The fontusedmay
appeal more to malesasit issolidandquite brutal looking.Mymagazine isprimarilyfemale bands
throughouttoshowthat the magazine isdirectedatfemalesaswell.The femalegenderisshownas
powerful throughoutthe magazine andthere isamodernrepresentationof strong,independent
womenthroughoutthe magazine.
Age
My magazine isdirectedata specificage groupasI believe theywill relate more tothe magazine
and the informationinside.The age groupsI believe will findmyfrontcoverenjoyable are people
betweenthe agesof 14 – 25 yearsof age.I thinkthisisan appropriate age groupas theycan
understandthe contentof the magazine andwouldwantto readit.If I wasto go overthe age group,
I wouldhave toadd a more sophisticatedlookto the magazine whichwouldn’tappealtothe
youngeraudiences.The modelsusedinthe magazineare all betweenthe agesof 14 – 25 which
meanstheirlookandfashionsense willattractthe rightaudience.The age groupof mytarget x
audience isbeingrepresentedbythe waythe modelsinthe imagesdressandthe attitude of
rebellionshownthroughoutthe magazine.
Social Class
My magazine isrepresentingthe workingclassasthe artistsinthe magazine are mainlyfrom
workingclassbackgrounds.Ibelievethe workingclasswouldenjoy andrelate tomy magazine more
than the middle classbecause of the rebellionpresentedthroughoutwhichisstereotypical of the
workingclass. Also,the use of informal language will attractworkingclassteenagersastheyare
more commonlyknownforusingthattype of language suchas “It’sgonna be ace.”

Gender In myopinion,the magazine appealstobothmale andfemale butprimarilymales.Thisisbecause of the dark colourswhichare associatedwithwhatsome boysmaylike.Also,the genre of the magazine isrock whichisknownmostlywithmen.The mainimage isa female asIbelieveitmay appeal towomenwhoenjoyrockmusic.Rock bandsare knowntobe mostlymalessoseeinga female onthe covermay attract a female audience.Iwantedmymagazine toappeal toboth gendersbyusingneutral coloursthatmay be likedbyboth.Ialso triedtouse a feminine pose forthe model onthe mainimage to make it seemrelatable.Iwantedmymagazine toslightlyresemble Kerrangmagazine inthe use of the boldtitle andthe large fontson the bottom.The fontusedmay appeal more to malesasit issolidandquite brutal looking.Mymagazine isprimarilyfemale bands throughouttoshowthat the magazine isdirectedatfemalesaswell.The femalegenderisshownas powerful throughoutthe magazine andthere isamodernrepresentationof strong,independent womenthroughoutthe magazine. Social Class My magazine isrepresentingthe workingclassasthe artistsinthe magazine are mainlyfrom workingclassbackgrounds.Ibelievethe workingclasswouldenjoy andrelate tomy magazine more than the middle classbecause of the rebellionpresentedthroughoutwhichisstereotypical of the workingclass. Also,the use of informal language will attractworkingclassteenagersastheyare more commonlyknownforusingthattype of language suchas “It’sgonna be ace.”
