To answer this question, we have to
create a certain amount of questions
of our own to gain an audience
feedback. The results came out
positively with some constructive
criticism to help me improve my work
in the future.
The overall response for this question was an
agreement that they could tell what the
narrative was about. Those who answered said
that they could tell there had been some dispute
between the two main protagonists in the video
and that there was ‘a tragic love story with
some flashbacks between the clips’. Overall,
the feedback here is positive as it shows our
video is easy to understand and follow.
The feedback here was a mixture of constructive
criticism and positive feedback on the edit used.
A majority said that the edits used were good
however they would have liked to see some
more jump cuts or cutaways as they say that
the clips are long. If I was to redo this video, I
would have more clips inputted into the video as
a way to split some clips up as they may be too
long. I would say that this work was extremely
positive as it has given me an insight onto what
I should do to make my video better.
The feedback here is very positive as those who answered
said that they could identify the genre of the video straight
away bar 1 or 2 recipients who stated they didn’t know
what was classified as indie rock. This has been positive
feedback as it shows that the genre was prominent through
the narrative and performance clips. For those who
couldn’t identify the genre, I believe I could make it more
prominent by including more indie clothing styles or trying
to find setting which are affiliated with the indie rock genre
such as a concert. I would say that the feedback here is
more positive than the last question.
There was no comment on how to change the
narrative for better as everyone said that they
wouldn’t change the narrative as it is
understood. The fact that there is no comment
on how to edit the narrative suggests that the
video is easy to understand and is well
appreciated by the target audience.
The majority of feedback here suggests that
the combination of narrative and
performance clips has worked well as it
highlights the songs meaning and the
fact that the story is meant to work with
the song. The feedback is strongly re-
enforcing that the narrative and
performance works well instead of just a
narrative or performance.
All participants agreed that the characters work
well with the genre as they seem to have the
right body language to be an ‘indie’ kid. This is
positive as it helps me when developing the
video or if i wish to relate another song and
video to this one
In conclusion, the feedback for this question was
mostly positive with essences of constructive
criticism involved. I have learnt that I should
include more jump cuts or cutaways as a way to
split up different clips as it looks to long
otherwise. This would help the music video flow
in a more natural way. Also, I would try and
include more close ups as there aren’t many
close ups of the main protagonists.

  • 2. To answer this question, we have to create a certain amount of questions of our own to gain an audience feedback. The results came out positively with some constructive criticism to help me improve my work in the future.
  • 3. The overall response for this question was an agreement that they could tell what the narrative was about. Those who answered said that they could tell there had been some dispute between the two main protagonists in the video and that there was ‘a tragic love story with some flashbacks between the clips’. Overall, the feedback here is positive as it shows our video is easy to understand and follow.
  • 4. The feedback here was a mixture of constructive criticism and positive feedback on the edit used. A majority said that the edits used were good however they would have liked to see some more jump cuts or cutaways as they say that the clips are long. If I was to redo this video, I would have more clips inputted into the video as a way to split some clips up as they may be too long. I would say that this work was extremely positive as it has given me an insight onto what I should do to make my video better.
  • 5. The feedback here is very positive as those who answered said that they could identify the genre of the video straight away bar 1 or 2 recipients who stated they didn’t know what was classified as indie rock. This has been positive feedback as it shows that the genre was prominent through the narrative and performance clips. For those who couldn’t identify the genre, I believe I could make it more prominent by including more indie clothing styles or trying to find setting which are affiliated with the indie rock genre such as a concert. I would say that the feedback here is more positive than the last question.
  • 6. There was no comment on how to change the narrative for better as everyone said that they wouldn’t change the narrative as it is understood. The fact that there is no comment on how to edit the narrative suggests that the video is easy to understand and is well appreciated by the target audience.
  • 7. The majority of feedback here suggests that the combination of narrative and performance clips has worked well as it highlights the songs meaning and the fact that the story is meant to work with the song. The feedback is strongly re- enforcing that the narrative and performance works well instead of just a narrative or performance.
  • 8. All participants agreed that the characters work well with the genre as they seem to have the right body language to be an ‘indie’ kid. This is positive as it helps me when developing the video or if i wish to relate another song and video to this one
  • 9. In conclusion, the feedback for this question was mostly positive with essences of constructive criticism involved. I have learnt that I should include more jump cuts or cutaways as a way to split up different clips as it looks to long otherwise. This would help the music video flow in a more natural way. Also, I would try and include more close ups as there aren’t many close ups of the main protagonists.
