I createda questionnairetoaccompanymyproductionof my magazine.Iaskedsix people toanswer
my questionnaire inordertofindoutlotsaboutwhat mytarget audience thinkabout mypopmusic
magazine.Inowknowwhat isgoodand bad aboutmy productionandwhatI needto improve.
I askedmainlyfemalestoanswermyquestionnaire asthisiswhatmymagazine ismostlyaimedat.
Theywere all differentageswhichIthoughtwasgood as I couldgetvariedresponsesfromdifferent
agesto findout whattheirresponseswere dependingontheirage.
From myquestionnaire,Ifoundoutthatthe people thatanswereditall likedthe coloursthatIhave
usedthroughoutmymagazine andfeel thattheyall relate tomy targetaudience. Theythoughtthis
because the coloursare bright,colourful andveryeye catching,theywill helpmymagazine tostand
out amongstothers, andthey are relatable andintrigue the youngeraudiencesof younggirls,
female-leaning.
Theyalsolikedthe fontsthatI have chosento use throughoutmythree pagesof my magazine
because theyare boldand inyourface,easy toread, theyare conventional andcreate ahouse style,
and lastlytheyrelate tothe popgenre as theyare quite feminine.
I askedaboutwhethermytargetaudience thoughtthatI hadclearlyshowna house style throughout
my magazine andtheyall agreedthatI did.Thisis a goodthingas it showsthat mymagazine is
linkedtogetherwell anddoesn’tlooklikethe pagesare partof three differentmagazines.
I askedaboutmy imagestoo.Theyall thoughtthat the onesI usedwere effectiveinmanyways.
Theyare attractingthe targetaudience intoreadingthe pages,the people inthe imagesare
conveyed asveryfashionablethroughoutthe magazine.One personlikedthe doublepage spread
especiallyasitmakesthemwantto read ondue to the shottypesof the image andlooksof the
personbeingphotographed.One personexplainedthatasthe imagesare all of females,theyrelate
to the target audience more thanif there were imagesof males.Theyalsolikedthatlotsof different
shottypeswere usedforvariation.Thismakesthe readersmore intriguedtothe contentof the
magazine.
I alsoaskeda questionaboutwhethertheythoughtthatmydouble page spreadwouldintrigue
themintoreadingit.I chose to ask thisquestionasthisisthe page in mymagazine thathas the
smallestimage totextratio. Luckily,all the people Iaskedlikedthe wayIhad set out my spreadand
saidtheywouldhappilyreadthe content. Iwasalsotoldthat I had usedthe rule of thirdsand route
of the eye well onall mypages.
I chose to ask aboutthe language that I have usedinmymagazine tooas thisreallyhelpsthe target
audience tochoose whethertheywanttobuythe magazine or not. Theyall saidthat theythinkthe
language isgoodand relatestothe target audience because it’squite informal,yetwithsome formal
elementstoowhichiswhatthe popgenre type of targetaudience enjoyreading. It’salsonottoo
hard to understand,it’splainandsimpleandusesday-to-daytalk.
AfterI askedthese questions,Iaskedsome more generalquestionsinorderforsome more vague
answersas I feltamix of detailedandvague were agoodideatoget the bestfeedback. Theyalsoall
saidthat once my productioniscompletelyfinished,theyfeelthatmymagazine will be successful.
Overall,Iam happywiththe feedbackthatIhave beengiven;I’malsohappywithmyoverall
productionasit wenta lotbetterthan I hadexpectedandIreallyenjoyedmakingmymagazine.

Theyare attractingthe targetaudience intoreadingthe pages,the people inthe imagesare conveyed asveryfashionablethroughoutthe magazine.One personlikedthe doublepage spread especiallyasitmakesthemwantto read ondue to the shottypesof the image andlooksof the personbeingphotographed.One personexplainedthatasthe imagesare all of females,theyrelate to the target audience more thanif there were imagesof males.Theyalsolikedthatlotsof different shottypeswere usedforvariation.Thismakesthe readersmore intriguedtothe contentof the magazine. I alsoaskeda questionaboutwhethertheythoughtthatmydouble page spreadwouldintrigue themintoreadingit.I chose to ask thisquestionasthisisthe page in mymagazine thathas the smallestimage totextratio. Luckily,all the people Iaskedlikedthe wayIhad set out my spreadand saidtheywouldhappilyreadthe content. Iwasalsotoldthat I had usedthe rule of thirdsand route of the eye well onall mypages. I chose to ask aboutthe language that I have usedinmymagazine tooas thisreallyhelpsthe target audience tochoose whethertheywanttobuythe magazine or not. Theyall saidthat theythinkthe language isgoodand relatestothe target audience because it’squite informal,yetwithsome formal elementstoowhichiswhatthe popgenre type of targetaudience enjoyreading. It’salsonottoo hard to understand,it’splainandsimpleandusesday-to-daytalk. AfterI askedthese questions,Iaskedsome more generalquestionsinorderforsome more vague answersas I feltamix of detailedandvague were agoodideatoget the bestfeedback. Theyalsoall saidthat once my productioniscompletelyfinished,theyfeelthatmymagazine will be successful. Overall,Iam happywiththe feedbackthatIhave beengiven;I’malsohappywithmyoverall productionasit wenta lotbetterthan I hadexpectedandIreallyenjoyedmakingmymagazine.
