1. 2. How does your music magazine represent particular
social groups?
This is a front cover from the social group that I
believe my magazine represents. The costume of both
the males are very similar as they are both wearing
jeans (quite low down) they are both wearing baggy
hoodie type jackets, however the male on the front
cover of the VIBE magazine has his hood up where
as the male in my image has his hood down and is
wearing a beanie hat, having his hood up could make
him look more rebellious like the male on the
magazine cover, however the images still do look very
similar. Also differently to the magazine cover image
my image has less colour and duller colour in
comparison. The males are both facing forward with a
slightly slouched posture with their hands by their side;
they are both facing forward making eye contact with
the audience. Both of the images are taken in good
lighting and have a clear light background. My
magazine represents the urban social group, which are
younger adults, and teenagers that are casual and
modern.
