1. What different areas of society are represented in your
magazine? The younger, working/lower middle class area of
society is represented in my magazine. Firstly, my model is
young and the locations of my pictures are taken at college
(situated within a lower middle class area).
Do you represent a cub-culture e.g. ‘emos’, ‘goths’, ‘hoodies’? I
represent anyone who likes Indie Rock music, so most likely
younger people who conform to the ‘convention’ of the Indie
Rock culture, e.g skinny jeans, floppy hair ect.
Do you deal with issues of race, ethnicity, gender, age, social
class, disability? I included two different models of different
ethnic backgrounds to enhance my magazine’s diversity. I
tended to stay clear of social class because it appeals to every
class, every ability, every gender (although maybe a little more
male-dominated, naturally, with these type of magazines). All in
all, I felt my representation was good.
