My media product primarily presents the social group of teenage girls interested in pop/mainstream music. Images of young pop artists and boy bands are featured to appeal to this group. Both male and female artists are represented, and images are natural rather than photoshopped to promote realistic body images. The magazine also represents white females in Western cultures as the target audience is located in America, UK, and Europe. While content aims to appeal to these regions, the representation is meant to be diverse. Racial diversity is limited by the models available from the creator's local college in England. Young girls are the main social group presented through feminine colors, relatable language, and references to platforms like Twitter and Instagram popular with this demographic.

2. The social group that my media product presents the most, is teenage girls that are interested in
pop/mainstream music. I found that in magazines pictures of young aspiring artists are often used
as well as boybands and young male singers. In my magazine I used my images to present this
social group, by having images of girls on the front cover, contents and double page spread.

3.  I used some images of boys to represent the male
artists, as this would appeal to girls as well as girls that
are similar to them. I didn’t use any pictures of
boybands, because l wanted my magazine to be more
about singular artists and this enables the audience as
aspire towards them as well as to idolise them. In the
pop genre there is typically attractive people within the
magazine, so l featured attractive people-however l also
made sure that these people were realistic. So they
weren’t photo shopped, changed they were very much
natural and this is something that l was determine to
do in my magazine in order to release the ideology that
all teenagers should look perfect and resemble models
all the time.

4.  My media product also represents the social group of white
females living in the western culture. This is because my magazine
would be published in America, the UK, and several parts of
Europe. So some of the content in my magazine is to appeal to
them, such as the bands and artists featured- one direction and
Ariana Grande. This representation however, is only stereotypical
and of course can be diverse to work in other countries that
enjoy pop music. Also, l would make my magazine racially
diverse as its something l wanted to do, but the models available
to me at my college are all white. This is because we live in a
area of England where white is the dominating race.

5.  My magazine presents the social group of young girls since l have used a
feminine colour palate to connote freshness and youthfulness. Also I’ve used
a mode of address that they’d be able to relate to and understand. It’s easy
for me to make it relatable because l am in the age range that my target
audience is therefore the language used is one which I’m certain teenage
girls frequently use. I have used references to things such as twitter and
Instagram, as girls are frequently known for this however its something that
boys use too so doesn’t necessarily present girls alone. I have used bands
such as 5 Seconds of Summer, to appeal to them as they are a band that are
highly liked by young girls so its easy to present them through their mainstream
music taste. But I have refined this to specific bands and artists that are
appealed to my age range specifically.
