This document outlines the process of developing a new pizza product using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and the House of Quality tool. It first identifies key customer wants for pizza like taste, price, healthiness and appearance. It then determines the technical attributes or "hows" of the product like ingredients, size, color and toppings density that will satisfy those customer wants. Relationships between technical attributes are mapped and importance ratings are developed. Finally, competing products are evaluated to help determine priorities for the new pizza product. The goal is to translate customer desires into engineering specifications using this QFD framework.
