wounds that are usually made of
cloth.
 Although dressings may stick to a
wound, their benefits outweigh any
discomfort caused by removal.
 They cover the wound, protect it
against germs, and help the blood-
clotting process.

 Unwrap the dressing as close to the wound as
possible but not touching the wound.
 Skin is not sterile. If the dressing slips over the
victim’s skin while you are trying to position it,
discard and use a fresh one.
