1.) Do not panic!
ā¦ Panicking will make the person excited, which will
make blood rush through their body.
ā¦ 2.) CALM the person down.
ā¦ 3.) If the cut is small, wash it first to clean any
bacteria from the area.
ā¦ 4.) Apply bandages with pressure.
ļ Attempt to stop the bleeding.

Slings are used to keep a broken arm in place
until a doctor can brace it properly so it can
heal.
Meant to help the person relax.
NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR GOING TO THE
DOCTOR.

radius, or ulna will require
a sling.

arm from moving as
little as possible.

12. ā¢Take a triangular piece of cloth that
is large.
ā¢Place one corner near the personās
elbow and drop the other two corners
on either side of the arm.
ā¢Bring the hanging corners up around
the personās neck and tie it tightly.
ā¢Twist the corner near the elbow and
tuck the remaining cloth into the
sling.

collarbone.
ā¢Take a triangular piece of cloth
and place one point to the elbow.
ā¢One point goes to the shoulder.
ā¢One point to the hip.
ā¢Wrap the point at the hip around
the opposite shoulder and tie
behind the neck.
