A huge number that any association would be ecstatic to have! This is a clear indicator that virtual delegates' time has come, and associations need to rise to the challenge of comprehensive adoption of their virtual offering - and if they haven't started, to get moving fast. Dr Viktor Joergens will describe not only how they achieved this astounding success, but what they discovered along the way.

The Next Web Conference 2013: A Photographic Journey #TNW2013Daniel McClure
This slideshare was inspired by my recent visit to The Next Web Conference 2013 in Amsterdam and consists of pictures taken from the event. It covers a small section of themes from the conference. 2. Trailer
• I constructed feedback for my trailer by using elements on Web 2.0 such as from
Facebook and survey monkey. I uploaded the trailer on Facebook and got my friends to
review the trailer and tell me the positive and negatives. I also got a few people I didn't
know so I didn't get any favourable comments from my friends. One thing people said
from Facebook was that the clip of the light flashing showing no presence of no one and
then the light appearing again showing a dark figure standing by the window. They
thought that created a sense of unease and it was a creepy trait. The main negative was
the volume needed to be adjusted when big noises were used when the figure would
appear. The feedback I got was that to turn the volume down when the big noises would
appear so the audience are scared by the noise and it is a jumpy scene because it leads
up to the final scare scene. The survey monkey questionnaire was used because we
asked several questions about the trailer and what else we could improve and we took
into account the improvements. I found out that the genre is identifiable because many
people knew the genre is horror based because of the slow and upbeat music at the start
and then the fast paced clips with scary tensioned music at the end.
3. Poster
• The film poster I created was judged by many people on Facebook and
other social networking accounts because I wanted a wide variety of
people to give me critical feedback of my trailer. I wanted to hear the
positives of my poster and the elements i could improve on. The
improvements I got was that the filter of the picture (which is the house
where the trailer is based at) needed to be changed to a darker and more
sinister looking because it was too light and didn't give a sense that the
genre was horror looking. By taking this advice I realised that the picture
looks much better with a dark and grey sinister looking filter because many
other people agreed it needed to be changed and said that was the best
improvement I made. The best positive I got was the effect I used on the
masthead by smudging it. This created a creepy and eerie effect that
something sinister is going to happen. Many people who saw that said they
could tell that the genre for the poster was identifiable because of the
effect and the filter I used on the picture.
4. Magazine
• My magazine I created was uploaded to social networking sites Facebook
and survey monkey. The reason I used it on Facebook was because i have a
lot of people who can look at my magazine and give me strong and honest
feedback to make my magazine better. The best feedback I got was the
colour of my font and writing needed to be more horror looking with
colours such as red and black because red is linked to blood and black is
linked to death. The colours I was using were grey and blue and these
colours I used were not giving a sense to the audience it was a horror
magazine. I changed the colour because many other people thought the
change was easy to identify that the magazine was horror looking. The
audience liked that the mask colours were linked the colours I used on the
magazine, white, black and red were the main colours I used because the
white background made the red and black more obvious looking and made
the writing and colour eye-catching for the audience.
5. Summary
• I think that audience feedback is very useful and helpful because it
shows what other people are seeing and what they think works and
doesn't work. The feedback I got was critical but, it made my 3
products better and suited to the audience because now they know
the 3 individual products are linked together and are all identified
easily as horror products.
