THIS PROJECT?
2. Productions skills are essential when
it comes to producing media texts. You
need to know about lighting,
photography, Photoshop etc. Basically,
everything used in pre-production,
production and post-production.
3. Photography!
Before taking up media, I was fond of taking
pictures but only knew the basic rules. In this
project, our sir gave us a lecture on camera shots
and angles and photography. It was very
informative and it definitely improved my
photography abilities. We learned about shallow
and deep focus, nose room etc and also wide shot,
eye level, high angle and many more. We were also
given group task to take pictures while following
all the rules and of all the shots and angles. I have
attached some pictures from our task.
4. Lighting Workshop!
A lighting workshop was held in our
school auditorium by our sir. We
learned about three point lighting –
key, fill and rim (back) lighting. I
learned that how the position of light
can affect the setting and features of
the model. It is a very important
aspect that has to be taken into
consideration.
5. Editing - Photoshop
For me, the most interesting thing we learned
is Photoshop. We edit pictures in Photoshop
using different tools. I learnt about sizes and
dimensions of some media products and
written codes like masthead, dropcap etc. I
learnt text formatting – kerning and leading
and text orientation – left, right or fully
justified. I also learned how to fix any
imperfections. I also learnt how to cut pictures
using lasso tool. These are just a few things
that I have learned. My Photoshop experience
went really good and it has helped me a lot. I
can see my improvement by looking at my
preliminary task and my final cover.
