This presentation talks about the various issues involved in environmental legislation. It talks about the drawbacks of the major environmental acts introduced and it also explains some of the remedial measures taken to rectify the drawbacks mentioned. It is useful for studying, and contain fun activities for teachers to use while teaching.
Environmental issues are any such issues created due to human activities and cause harm to the environment. Environmental issues are harmful effects of human activity on the biophysical environment.
They relate to the anthropogenic effects on the natural environment, which are loosely divided into causes, effects and mitigation, noting that effects are interconnected and can cause new effects.
The environment plays a vital role in human living. The environment comprises of all the natural resources such as air water, land, forests, and minerals. It is responsibility of populace to protect the natural resources. Nonetheless, due to technical advancement and other reasons, there is a lot of misuse of these natural resources, in the form of land degradation, water pollution, air pollution, and deforestation. All these factors lead to worsening of environment. Great efforts are being made in order to regain the environment by people through voluntary organizations, which have concerns about the environment. There are cases where people have revoked and adopted non-violent action movements to protect their environment (Arne Kalland, Gerard Persoon, 2013).
Basics about environmental pollution: types of pollutants, causes of pollution, consequences of pollution, human health effects, greenhouse effect, global warming, etc.

Environmental Education for all: Ethiopian ContextIJEAB
Today’s environmental challenges urge man to search for possible solution from wider viewpoints. This paper review is persuasive that it stresses relevance of environmental education for all citizens as one of the key tools for stewardship of environmental wellbeing besides policies and actions combating against environmental problems like pollutions and environmental degradation; believing that environmental education can pose positive change in attitude and behavior of society that in turn probably support efforts done towards sustainable development. The paper also attempt to discuss rationale of this review paper, interactions between man and environment, meaning and aims of environmental education, environmental pollution, climate change, pressure on biological diversity, desertification and drought, population growth and resource use, population growth and environment, dimensions and approaches of environmental education. Developing environmental literacy- knowledge, skill, attitude and actions on current environmental challenges particularly like climate change, loss of biodiversity, health problems and suggested solutions of these problems are need commitment to be addressed. Hence, environmentally literate citizens make informed environmentally sound decisions. Further, suitable approach of delivering environmental education, for all learners, in schools or higher institutions probably is generic form.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.

"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
Characterization and the Kinetics of drying at the drying oven and with micro...Open Access Research Paper
The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.
2. UNEP
UNEP stands for “United Nations Environment
Program”.
The United Nations Environment Programme
(UNEP) is an agency of the United Nations
that coordinates its environmental activities,
assisting developing countries in implementing
environmentally sound policies and practices.
3.
4. The United Nations Environment Programme
(UNEP) has outlined several key ways to
increase awareness of environmental issues
worldwide.
Targeted Efforts
Local Outreach
The Media
Classroom Education
5. Targeted Effort
According to UNEP, environmental awareness
campaigns are most successful when targeted
to specific groups or populations.
Many people don't pay much attention to
environmental problems because they don't
understand how the problem would affect
them or their lifestyle.
6. Local Outreach
Environmental education is just as important in
the developing world as it is in industrialized
nations; however, reaching out to the people in
those countries can be very difficult.
Community leaders can help ease
communication problems and bridge the
cultural divide that often stands in the way of
outreach efforts.
7. The Media
In developed countries and urban areas, the
use of print, broadcast, and Internet media
can be a great way to increase education and
awareness.
Information centers can be useful tools to
educate both the public and journalists about
environmental concerns.
8.
9. Classroom Education
Thirty percent of the world's population is
under the age of eighteen, which is why
educating children and young adults about
environmental problems is crucial to long-term
success.
Integrating environmental education into
current science classes or teaching
environmental science as a separate discipline
is one of the best ways to educate children and
teens about environmental problems.
10.
11. Green Movements
Other than the keys set by the UNEP, there
are many other ways to spread Public Awareness.
Green Movement is one of them.
Green movements can grow out of small local
initiatives to become major players in advocating
environmental protection to the Government.
Policy makers will only work towards
environmental preservation if there is a
sufficiently large bank of voters that insist on
protecting the environment.
