Props, actors, equipment and costume
Props:
Gun (black pistol)- I am going to use a gun which will be placed in my main
character’s pocket throughout scene 1, it won’t be until shot 12 that he
actually takes it out to aim at the person creeping up on him.
Folded paper/Letters- This will be letters or small pieces of folded paper which will be
located in person 2’s hoodie pocket in which my main character will search through to try
and find the letter his boss has sent him to find.
Paper with joker card and cut out letters from newspapers- This is the
supposed letter that my main character is searching for; sent to find by his boss,
which is located initially on person 3 and then handed over which will then be
taken to the boss in scene 2.
Cardboard boxes- These will be located all around the warehouse in order to portray it is a
fully working warehouse where work is occurring frequently.
Costume:
3x Plain black hoodie- Which will be worn by the boss and the two people trying to stop my
main character from getting on with his duties. I feel this will demonstrate a sense of evil or
portray they are bad by the use of black as well as a sense of mystery where by having the
hood up would slightly cover their face/hair.
3x Black jeans- These will be worn by the boss and the two people trying to stop my main
character from getting on with his duties.
1x Suit (black jacket/trousers/shoes & white blouse) - This will be worn by my
main character because it gives a sense of professionalism as well as looking
smart. It also seems to be a common convention of action films (having the main
good character looking smart) for example in James Bond Spectre.
Actors:
Jack Coots- (Age-16) I have chosen Jack to play one of my bad guys because I feel he
would look the part coming across as innocent which therefore develops the audience's
sympathy for him and could perhaps pull off an angry/confident character later on.
Mike Carter- (Age 16) I have chosen Mike to play as the Boss of my main character
because I feel he looks the part of an intimidating Boss with his black/brown curly hair
and tall posture, and looks more powerful than Olly. He has previously acted in a few
other short films for his friends, and played the bad guy, so I am hoping to stick with this
idea as he would probably feel more comfortable playing it.

Olly Rea- (Age 16) I have chosen Olly to play my main character; who receives the letter
ordered by his boss, because he has had acting experience by being part of previous
plays and is talented with many acting styles.
Corben Hills-(Age 18) I have chosen Corben to play another bad guy because he can
perform with an aggressive tone and can be manipulative with his dialogue. I feel he
gives the look of a rough evil guy who has been in many fights and is determined to get
the job done. He is also currently studying Production Arts at sixth form which will be
beneficial as he will know some tricks and tips of the backstage work.
Equipment:
Tripod- This will be used to steady my camera for certain shots as well as pan levelly
without my shot becoming wonky or distorted.
Camera (1200D) - This will be the devise I am going to use in order to film my whole
opening. It is a decent camera with a high resolution, plus it is my own which means
that I have more experience using it and know what each button does to improve the
filming shots.
SD card- This will be placed in the camera in order to save what I have recorded, I
am going to use a standard 16GB card.
Mic - This may be used if, when I playback the sound it isn’t clear enough/loud
enough.
Computer- This is the devise I will use to edit my film opening and potentially
create the music for it on. I am going to use 5 different programs to get my full
outcome; Premiere elements, which I have on my home computer and I will use
to rough edit the scenes. I will then use Premiere after effects (also on my home computer)
to add in any special effects and tweak any problems. Blender will be used to create my title
sequence of the cards flying around, and Sonar x1 to record and
edit my music. Finally at school I will use Premiere Pro to
add any finishing touches and check that it all works smoothly.
