1. Switch from Horror to Thriller?
After looking into the genre ‘Horror’ I decided that I did not want too keep
looking at the scary faces, blood, and gore genre, I would rather look at thriller
which consists more of the physiological side of things. I think of thriller as a
genre that consists more of a storyline and a film that the audience can (on a
level) relate too.
Although in some senses thriller and horror are similar for things like the target
audience. I believe that the audience for thriller and the audience for horror are
similar in the sense that they like the feel of fear, and suspense. But I do believe
that by choosing do to a film opening for a thriller instead, that the audience may
be able to interact more, and feel more emotion. As thriller, is basically in a way,
reality turned ugly.
I have created avatars to replicate what the audience for the genre horror may
be… I do think that these avatars stand for thrillers as well.
