DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT (GENRE & PLOT ELEMENTS FEATURED)
I am going to produce a film poster campaign for a horror film as part of the promotional
materials for the film SHADOW Farm
The film is about a shadowy person that attacks people every year near Halloween and the
killings only happen near this old abandon farm where a church is on the outside near the
border of the farm. The plot of the film is that these kids go to the farm thinking that the
killings are just stories their parents told them so that they would not stay out for too long
near Halloween, but lately do they know they about become the next victim to this killer.
The plot elements that I will feature in the poster are climax and suspense why I want to use
these plot elements is because they can create interest with the audience and make them
intrigued to look further into the poster. How I will create climax and suspense in my
posters is I will show a scene of the film at the end where the climax and suspense is high.
OUTLINE OF STYLE
What I am doing is with my main 3 posters Iam going to include the location of where the
film will take place at an abandoned farm with the main horror figure in the front of the
poster to strike interest into the poster making people think what it might be about the
colors I will use will be black, red and , grey the reason for this is because I want to be able
to show that this film poster is a dark and mysteriousness film. The color scheme that I think
will go well with my poster is black, grey, red.
The genre of horror I want to use the font of Avenir book this will create a mysterious and
gloomy feeling in what the poster makes the audience feel
Some recurring elements in my 3 posters will be the use of darkness and shadows on the
poster and the use of adding shading to different 3 parts of the poster
With each of my posters I want to show off the area where my film will take place. With my
teaser I want to show the surrounding area where the sky and atmosphere is dark, scary,
and creepy and try and show a glimpse of my villain
Then for my second poster which is my theatrical I want to show my shadowy figure in the
farm and use the shade colors and dark colors to create an
atmosphere that this person isn't normal or even human.
Then for my quad poster I want to show off a monument that people will recognize from my
poster that will be in my film which will be a church building where everyone can see graves
outside with my using shading on the outside

2. POSTERCAMPAIGNPROPOSAL
Dylanwinch
I want a close of my main protagonist wearing a hoodie and then them looking out into the
farmland and with that I want to make the farm look like its run down and that no one has
been there for years I really want to go with a creepy setting for my poster as I have already.
The first poster will be a wide shot showing off the area where the horror will be taking
place with the main villain in the poster staring at the barn.
Then the second poster will be a long shot of the actual landscape other seeing the corn field
and seeing the barn
Then for the final poster its once again going to be a longshot of the sky and landscape then
the moon at the top.
FONT LIST & BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The font I want to use is going to be a horror font with spikes coming out of the letters to
introduce the idea of the film being outside and that the outdoors is something to fear in this
film. A brief description of the film is that it is going to be a horrific film where the monster
is in control. One font that comes to mind is the help font. It is exactly what ium looking for
with the words being spiky making them look like that are meant to be in a farm as thorns.
Also, another font in the poster used in Avenir book as the date of when the film comes out
TARGET AUDIENCE (AGE, GENDER, LIFESTYLE, INTERESTS, SPENDING
POWER)
The age group that I am trying to aim for are around teenagers aged 18 male and female and
older the reason for this is because my horror is going to contain blood and gore this might
set off those younger age people that are not into that stuff. Also, I know that people near
that age like there horror movies and like to watch it. Also linking back to the idea that they
want to watch a horror film the poster needs to be able to catch people's eyes so maybe
something flashy on the poster or maybe a famous actor could possibly catch their eyes.
How the audience as well could be interested in the film they could relate to the central
characters is that they are the same age and that they can see themselves on the poster
HOW THE POSTERS WILL APPEAL TO THE AUDIENCE
I am going to make the audience feel for the characters in the film that are trapped with this
unknown monster and make them feel how the characters are feeling at the time. Also, I
want the audience to feel like they have stuff in in common with the characters that are in
danger making them feel for those that might be killed in this film
DISTRIBUTION
For my distribution I think the best place to distribute my posters is in public sectors such
as where there are multiple shops and where people are every day and where they can see
the posters also maybe by putting them on buses where they can be seen by people that
don’t have car. Also, at cinemas where people can see them whilst them there to see a film
also billboards around highways where people are able to see them when they're going to

work also when its night, I can create the atmosphere for the poster due to it being a horror
poster this also applies for them being on buses as well and with them being in public
sectors so when people pass them they can see a glimpse of it
MARKETING - HOW & WHERE THE POSTERS WILL BE ADVERTISED
I recon the best place to show the poster would be to put it in a public space like bittern
on buses and in cinemas and also social media where most of my target audience will
be able to see it like town the reason for this is because I know most of the age group
spends most of their spair time in these popular areas like in town and bittern where
people around the age of 16 and older hang about meaning that the poster will be
recognised and might be taken into interest.
POSITION IN THE MARKETPLACE
With the 3 posters I researched I have I have noted down some key components that make
them good as a horror poster for example I have noticed the colour black, red and, grey is
used a lot to show the use of gloominess and how that Trie too show suspense in the poster
also how my posters are different from the posters I've based it off my poster isn't based off
a popular superhero and that it isn't in a city involving aliens my poster is about a group of
friends come across something strange going on in an abandoned farm
