It will feature two hosts and two guests discussing various topics. Music, sound effects, and advertisements will be included to add to the relaxed atmosphere. Research into similar television and radio talk shows will be conducted to inform the production techniques. The project will be produced over 10 weeks, with tasks including experimenting with voices, music, and ads, script writing, recording, and evaluation.
Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.

Working Title:
Conversations.
Audience:
For this FMP, my audience is aged from 10+. Anyone over or at the age of 10 can listen to my radio
talk show. This is because, children under the age of 10, might not understand the language that will
be in my talk show, e.g. more advanced words in literature that they are used to. The gender of my
audiences does not matter to me. It will be more female dominated as the show, happens to have all
women on it. This does not mean that males cannot listen too. The social status of my audience would
be mostly feminists and people who want equal rights. I think this as I imagine the two Hosts to very
passionate about equal rights between all genders. This would mean that my audience would have
lots of respect for the people in this show. They would be honoured to be listening to it. The
psychographic of these people would be that they are empathetic towards the Hosts and Guests on
this show. This is because, once they listen, they will be on a roller coaster of emotions. They will be
feeling all the feeling that a person can feel. Another, trait that my audience will have is that they
would be respectful of others. This means not only when listening to the show but in real life too. This
means if a person needs help with something and they have been trying so hard to complete
something. Respect them, do not shout at them for not trying as you know that they have tried. This is
when my audience members would help other people when they most need it.
This product would appeal to my audience because of their personalities. My audience would be a
community of people, who care about each other (even though, they come from all over the world),
show empathy (Some will be going through a similar situation to what a guest is feeling, they will be
empathetic towards them.) and respect to one another. The Hosts of my show are very passionate
about a lot of things. Helping people is one. The audience would be a lot like them too.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
I have done various projects that included film, audio, print and animation. Some projects, I acquired
knowledge and put towards the FMP. One of them was audio. This had a big impact. In the last audio
project, I made a project about the different views of knife crime. I gained skills, such as how to use:
software (e.g. different features on Garage Band) and a recording device properly (no spiting). Garage
Band impacted as I use it not only to write music but to make projects. In animation, this software was
used. I also made sound effects using Beep-Box.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
My FMP is going to be a relaxed feel, radio talk show about how different situations effect people’s
life. This talk show will include two hosts and two guests. I will use my skill of creating different voices
for these people, so everyone knows who is who.
There will be eight pieces of music in this project. An introduction, 6 sub-sections and a conclusion.
The subsections are to split up the piece as I am making adverts for this reason.
This music will add to the relaxed feeling because of the instruments I will be using, e.g. the piano and
guitar. I will also add in sound effects too. This adds to the realism of the piece.
There will be three ads that split the piece. A healthy eating website advert, a supermarket advert and
a car advert. You will hear these like it is an actual radio station.
The research I will need will be based on television talk shows and on the radio. I will also listen to
radio advertisements and discuss the differences between them so that I know what techniques to use
in my piece.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan to evaluate my work in a way that is completely honest and truthful. I want to evaluate my work
in self-reflection. I will reflect on improvements and learn from my mistakes when I do another project
like this.
