Conversations Script
Introduction music (30 seconds)
Kim: Proudly says “With Kim and...”
Lara: “Lara” interrupting Kim happily.
Kim: Excited “We have a heck of a show for you today!”
Lara: “Yes, we sure do. You could say it hits your humorous!” With only her
laughing wittily.
Kim: “Ah ha, good one. Let’s get on with the show. We have two guests on the
show today. Isn’t that exciting Lara?”
Lara: “Yeah, It really is.” Still laughing from the last joke. “Our first guest,
today, is quite an outgoing woman, she could walk out of her home and into
the studio right now.” being clever.
Kim: “Yes she could.” Pausing to chuckle. “She’s here to tell us her story, it’s
the remarkable Meybel...”
Conversations Script
Sub 1 music (15 seconds)
Meybel comes into the studio, quite fragile.
Meybel: “Hi...urm I’m here... to tell my story.” she says quite timid and shy.
Kim: “Yes. So Meybel tell us why you wanted to come on the show?” She says
curiously.
Meybel: “I decided to come on the show bec... because... I have been through
a lot in my life.” getting more confident... “I really wanted to tell people what
it is like to live without money.”
Lara: “Maybe some of you, viewers, watching could possibly empathise with
this.” becoming more serious because of the topic.
Kim: “Yes defiantly. So what was childhood like for you?”
Meybel: “I would say as a child I was very outgoing and loved being with my
friends. I lived in a two bedroomed flat with my mother, father and younger
sister, Flow.” she says eagerly coming out with this information.
Conversations Script
Kim: Egging her on “Yes, What happened in your childhood to make you like
you are today?”
Meybel: “Well, I would say that It was down to my own actions too.” trying to
clear things up. “Things were going alright with my mother’s job as a school
chef. Until one of the other staff members found a rat in the kitchen... The
next thing she knows she got fired and sent to the employment office.”
Lara: “Oh how awful!”
Kim: Despite to know “What happens next?”
Meybel: “Well, because of the stress my mother was put under to find jobs,
she couldn’t keep one. She was to... to stressed that she took all the anger
and piled it on to my father. So... So they split up as my father could not take
the shouting anymore.”
Kim: “What did your father do, you know, as a job?” being inquisitive.
Conversations Script
Meybel: Stuttering “Mmmm...my father had a part time job at the
supermarket. He had enough money to support him self in the council house
he moved into, when my parents split.”
Lara: “Wow!” Stunned by the actions of her father leaving her and her family.
Kim: “Meybel... So when you grew up, did you try working?”
Meybel: “Yes, When I was fifteen, I got a part time job as a newspaper
deliverer... But that wasn’t enough money to support a household.”
Kim: Responding “Of course not.”
Lara: agreeing “Yeah.”
Meybel: “Being the older sibling, I felt that Flow always looked up to me and I
did not want to let her down. I saw a leaflet for a soup kitchen that our family
could go to weekly. I first took my little sister as my mother was persistent on
not going. I think that she thought relying on someone else was weak.”
Conversations Script
Lara: “But it’s not. Look I rely on Kim every day and I turned out fine!”
Kim: Chuckling “I agree, So, Meybel how did the soup kitchen eventually help
you to become what you wanted to in your life.”
Meybel: answering “It helped me because nobody else wanted to. At the
time I was a dirty, poor child. They picked me up and cleaned me off.”
Lara: Joking “Hopefully not literally!”
Meybel and Kim Laughing.
Meybel: “They were the people who inspired me to make my very own
business of helping homeless people find loving homes.”
Kim: Inspired “So tell me a bit more about your business?”
Meybel: “I now own a charity organization that helps homeless people get off
the streets and into loving houses. I wanted to help people, who were worser
off than me, when I was younger. My younger sister works with me and we
make a good team! We, also, serve hot meals in our shelter.”
Conversations Script
Kim: Very inspired “Did you hear that listeners? Meybel is a very inspiring lady
and made her own charity organisation that helps people, who are worse off
than her. Maybe you can do something like this in your community.”
Lara: “This was a very inspiring story from a very inspiring lady.”
Meybel: Blushing “Aww thank you.”
Kim: “I am afraid it’s time to see our first guest go. Thank you Meybel for
coming on the show. Goodbye.”
Lara: following “Goodbye!”
Sub 2 music enters (15 seconds)
Kim: “Now it’s time to introduce our first ad of the day. It’s... Quick Cook!
They are a Healthy eating postal service that posts right to your doorstep.”
Lara: “Just like our first guest, Quick Cook wanted to help out with the
community. What is helping, like helping someone lose weight though Quick
Cooking.”
Kim: getting excited “now Quick Cook are offering 20% off meals to our
listeners!”
Conversations Script
Lara: “I could get 2 meals for the price of one!” saying eustatically.
Kim: “Here is their ad...”
Ad 1
Lara: “That ad inspired me to lose weight.”
Kim: “Silly, There will be nothing left if you do that!”
Lara: “Oh, how kind” Chuckling.
Kim: “Now it’s time to introduce our second guest. She has a gold in crested
swimming pool-”
Lara: interrupting “ggggezzz!”
Kim: Laughing and carrying on “Gold furniture and even a gold toilet. It’s Mrs
Chesterfield!”
Sub 3 music plays (15 seconds)
Conversations Script
Mrs Chesterfield enters.
Mrs C: she speaks with a over the top, posh accent “Oh please call me, Mrs C.”
Lara: “Alright then!” she says with sarcasm.
Mrs C: “Was that sarcasm... In my time, it was rude to do that to people. They
would have thrown you out in a sac. Especially, if you said it to an... A
seniority member of society, like myself!” taking offence.
Kim: “So, Mrs C. What brings you here on this fine day?” asking nicely trying
to carm her down.
Mrs C: “Oh, what brings me here today. Well, I came here to talk about my
past. When I was a young spring chicken.”
Lara: “So, What did you want to be when you grew up?” saying monotoned.
Conversations Script
Kim: “Like, What did you aspire to be?”
Mrs C: “Oh, When I was a young spring chicken, I would have liked to be an
actor.”
Kim: “And did you become one?”
Mrs C: “Oh, yes. By golly I did.” raising her voice. “Haven’t any of you seen me
on the show ‘Nights on the town’!”
Lara: “Yes, she was just asking because she wanted to listeners to know”
Mrs C: “Oh, yes. Sorry.” she starts laughing “I went a bit crazy then.”
Kim: “It’s alright. So, what happened, with money, when you were younger?”
Mrs C: “Oh, yes. When I was a young spring chicken. My Mother and Father
were lucky. They won the big cash prize at bingo.”
Lara: “Oh carry on” mocking her.
Conversations Script
Mrs C: “I will!” she said firmly “ If you must know. They invested their money
on me. I went to acting school. Now, because of my gems of elders, I have
become a global superstar and actor.”
Lara: Gob smacked “Wow! That is a big deal!”
Mrs C: Belittling her “Oh, I do love it when enemies turn into adoring fans.
That is where hard work gets you!”
Kim: trying to change the subject. “So what an inspiration of a story. Mrs C,
I’ve got the most important question for you. What would you say is the most
important room in your multi million-pound mansion?”
Mrs C: “Do you know what it is. It is” she pauses “my bedroom. It has a golden
engraved four poster bed for me to do the most important job. Sleep. Sleep is
needed for an impeccably good day of acting!”
Lara: “Finally something I agree with.” She laughs.
Conversations Script
Kim: “oh I wish we could speak to you more, Mrs C, but we’ve got a show to
run.” lying about carrying on the conversation.
Lara: “agreed!” Happy now.
Mrs C: “But don’t you want to hear about how I got my award!”
Kim: “We know all we need. Thanks for coming on the show.” desperate for
her to leave.
Lara: “Goodbye, Madame.”
We hear a door slam.
Kim: “Well, I hope you found some inspiration from that listeners –”
Lara: Joking “Or, just some great entertainment.”
Sub 4 music enters (15 seconds)
Kim: Laughing and then changing the subject. “Time for our next advert.”
Conversations Script
Lara: “I want one of these!” she says enthusiastically.
Kim: “Yes and you can test drive one for free. It’s the new Slicer Pro. This
community car dealer is offering a free test drive on the new model of the
Slicer Pro.” sounding excited.
Lara: “Take a listen to this!”
Ad 2 Plays
Kim: “call the number to get your free test drive!”
Lara: “I know I would!”
Sub 5 music enters
Kim: “Right, you know what time it is?”
Lara: “What time is it... Kim!”
Kim: Happy “Its music time.”
Lara: “It’s time to party listeners!

Ending music enters. (30 seconds)
Contingency Plan
Potential issue Solution
I cannot get my work completed (e.g. record some voice overs)
as there is too much background noise (In lockdown at home
because of COVID-19).
If I cannot get my work done because of background noise, I
can do this work in the evening as it could be quitter.
I cannot multitrack on the programme Garage
Band because it will not allow it.
I could find another programme/app that does multitrack
audio. If there is not an app, I could record each of the pieces
on iPhone (Voice Memos) Then record back into the
programme Garage Band.
Computer/ iPad/ iPhone stop working. Get whatever work I can do, done, as I have backed my work
up on a memory stick and could plug this into the family
laptop.
Loss of memory stick. (Misplaced my memory stick). I will be able to get my work done as I also have stored my
work on my laptop and can get on with it while trying to find
the misplaced memory stick.
I have an issue thinking of ideas for music that I
could create.
I could use the previous PowerPoints (Research and existing
products) for inspiration. I can also look on the web for
different types of beats and rhythms that work nicely together.
Garage Band / Voice memos stops working. Find a potential new app that could work or use either
of the two apps if only one of them stops working.
I get sick and I lose the ability to speak, I need to
record other parts of the project.
I could ask (though writing) other members of my family to
speak the parts. Or through face time could ask my friends to
speak them and I could record on another device.
Location Plan
The one location that I will be planning to produce my final product is my
house as we are on Lockdown (COVID-19). But within my house, I will plan
some locations that I want to record or produce my final product.
Location What I am doing in this location
Bedroom/Office Creating music (e.g. Intro, End, Subs and other
music), Recording voices (e.g. host, guests...),
Recoding/Making ads (e.g. sound effects) and
Producing my progress log.
Outside drive/Garden Creating the Sound effect for the car advert.

This project has no Budget as it is completely free and non-applicable.
Reflection
For my final product, I am going to be making a radio talk show about
different people’s perspectives on life. This is in a relaxed atmosphere and for
entertainment purposes.
I am creating this radio talk show because I enjoy making audio related
projects as I had experience with the last audio project, we have completed in
this level 3, Creative media and production course. I, also, find it easier to
make at home because of the lockdown (COVID-19) as I have a lot of the
recourses here that are easier and cheaper to get.
This product is for a wide age-ranged audience as asked in a survey. These
people want to be educated and entertained, even though, there may be a
female dominated audience as the people on the show are female.
This product, Conversations, will appear in radio form (MP3). If this were a
product, I would want it to appear on all Podcast platforms (apple, android
etc.)
Pre-Production Work
Pre-production
For this project, I have previously done a survey. In this, I had asked members
of my audience questions on what to do in my radio talk show or how long to
make certain parts. I used this for my research too.
These questions helped me to decide what to do in my final piece. It is better
to make the audience decide as I want them to be aurally pleased and
entertained by this product when I am done.
When all five of the surveys came back, I had observed them and made some
decisions on where I am going to take the product and what I am going to do
with it.

Another piece of work I had done for this is product is that I had interviewed
two members of my audience. These where similar questions to my survey
but in an interview format.
You can see these interviews in my research PowerPoint.

I can also look on the web for different types of beats and rhythms that work nicely together. Garage Band / Voice memos stops working. Find a potential new app that could work or use either of the two apps if only one of them stops working. I get sick and I lose the ability to speak, I need to record other parts of the project. I could ask (though writing) other members of my family to speak the parts. Or through face time could ask my friends to speak them and I could record on another device.

Reflection For my finalproduct, I am going to be making a radio talk show about different people’s perspectives on life. This is in a relaxed atmosphere and for entertainment purposes. I am creating this radio talk show because I enjoy making audio related projects as I had experience with the last audio project, we have completed in this level 3, Creative media and production course. I, also, find it easier to make at home because of the lockdown (COVID-19) as I have a lot of the recourses here that are easier and cheaper to get. This product is for a wide age-ranged audience as asked in a survey. These people want to be educated and entertained, even though, there may be a female dominated audience as the people on the show are female. This product, Conversations, will appear in radio form (MP3). If this were a product, I would want it to appear on all Podcast platforms (apple, android etc.)

Pre-production For this project,I have previously done a survey. In this, I had asked members of my audience questions on what to do in my radio talk show or how long to make certain parts. I used this for my research too. These questions helped me to decide what to do in my final piece. It is better to make the audience decide as I want them to be aurally pleased and entertained by this product when I am done. When all five of the surveys came back, I had observed them and made some decisions on where I am going to take the product and what I am going to do with it.

Pre-production Another piece ofwork I had done for this is product is that I had interviewed two members of my audience. These where similar questions to my survey but in an interview format. You can see these interviews in my research PowerPoint.
