Project Description: To study and assess the existing infrastructure based on the Look/Act East Policy. To identify

Project Description: With a mandate to improve the skill level of trainees (increase in pass rate, improvement in
employment rate and increase in initial wage/salary) DGT implemented the Vocational Training Improvement Project
(VTIP) funded by World Bank. The study assesses enrolment and pass-out rates along with labour market performance of
ITI pass-outs, the end-term study covered 11,000 pass outs (the year 2012) from500 ITI spread across 21 States. The study
also tracked 1000 graduates, were sub-sample of respondents of the midterm study conducted in 2012. Of 500 ITIs, 200
were VTIP supported Government ITIs, 200 Government ITIs and 100 Private ITIs.
